After getting rejected for the third time, Dawa decided to stop trying to call the prince's number. He was not that patient and there were still pressing matters he had to attend to.
For example, finding which world he was in.
Queen Arcadia was very kind and when they were talking, she gave him a trick to easily find out which world he was currently in. This trick, as long as he was in a modern world, apparently works really well.
The trick? He just has to go to the internet and search up the male lead's name. If nothing shows up, then search up the protagonist's name.
According to Queen Arcadia, almost all of the novels she read had a protagonist or male lead that had a very rich background. Even if they weren't a CEO of a certain conglomerate or a famous actor and actress, at least one of the main characters was excellent enough to have at least a few articles written about them on the internet.
Dawa immediately opened up the search bar and typed the first name that came to his mind. However, after typing both the name of the male and female protagonist, nothing came up. He switched to another novel and recalled the name Queen Arcadia told him and the moment he pressed a few letters, a certain actor immediately showed up.
Dawa smiled at how smooth everything was going. "Bingo."
Dawa clicked on the article that popped up and was taken to an official site of said actor.
Vio Genesis, fourth time was awarded the Best Actor Award in the Golden Academy Awards. The youngest of the Film Hall of Fame, being only twenty four when he was nominated Best Actor for the thirteenth time.
He was the pride of the country's entertainment industry.
He was also the protagonist of the novel "Gentle Deception"
Dawa had an excellent memory that never forgets information once it's fed to him. Thus, the summary of the novel immediately flashed across his mind.
Vio Genesis was an actor. He was also a child of a rich family and throughout his life, he had never suffered. His career was smooth sailing from the very start and he entered the industry like fish in the water. All the productions he entered had the best staff and never lacked anything. It was obvious that heaven particularly favored him, this protagonist.
However, despite the fact that his life was such a case, Vio has always been world weary. His personality was closed off and guarded, like a small cub that had been abused for all of its life. There was only one person that this cub felt safe with and that was Azazel.
Looking at the picture of Vio along with 'Azazel', Dawa couldn't help but pause.
Azazel.. seems to be himself?
Dawa had not seen his current appearance yet so when he saw the wallpaper on the phone, he thought that his age should be around the picture. Around his teenage years. However, looking at the most recent picture of him and Vio caught by paparazzi, he seems to be around early twenties.
"Huh."
Vio was overly attached to 'Azazel', his childhood friend, and only trusted the other. This attachment was laced with a hint of obsession that Vio himself was not aware of. But, the female lead was not the same.
Dezerie August, the female lead, was the heiress of a large company. She was a friend of Vio, 'Azazel' and 'Kai'. She was smart and extremely sharp. From the age of fifteen, she was already aware of the love triangle going on between her friends.
Vio was overly attached to 'Azazel' but the latter only had 'Kai' in his eyes. It was also a plus factor that 'Kai' was Dezerie's brother. It was a messy piece of spider web. But Dezerie, though knew that Vio had an insane amount of obsessive thoughts about 'Azazel', liked Vio for a very long time.
Does the fact that Vio is obsessed with Azazel stop her from taking her chance to take Vio for herself? Of course not.
Gentle Deception started like this.
Dawa's identity this time should be 'Azazel'. In the novel, he was the biggest thorn between Vio and Dezerie.
Azazel's personality was gentle and calm. The type of person who never gets angry. However, Azazel was extremely possessive towards 'Kai'. He was aware of Vio's feelings towards him. But, Azazel never really saw Vio in that light and he was also aware that Vio himself wasn't aware of his own feelings so Azazel never really took it seriously.
His focus was only on Kai. His attention was only on Kai. For him, Kai was the only person who mattered.
Azazel was a very twisted person. The gentler he acts, the more chaotic his thoughts become. He never really liked sharing Kai with others, even if those others were friends and family.
Queen Arcadia's description of Kai and Azazel's relationship flashed across Dawa's mind.
Kai was not stupid. He was aware of Azazel's dark thoughts about him. However, Kai's personality made it so he was emotionally detached from everything around him. He rejected Azazel countless of times, but the latter would only come back more persistently than before.
It got to the point that when Kai got married for convenience, Azazel didn't hesitate to kill himself and Kai. He drugged the other on the eve of the wedding and drove through a cliff. The two of them died that day.
On the other hand, Vio who found out that Azazel was dead was extremely heartbroken. He collapsed and was devastated to the point of depression.
With his mentality in such a fragile state, Dezerie used the opportunity to appear. She helped him get back to his feet and supported him throughout his lowest moments.
Eventually, Vio fell in love with her.
A happy ending was reached thus after.
The price to pay was only Azazel's and Kai's life.
If he was to follow the plot of the novel then he had no choice but to end his and the prince's life. Although killing the prince was an ideal he liked very much, Dawa have no attention to commit double suicide for the sake of love.
As he was thinking of his next course of action, the phone he was holding vibrated. Dawa looked down and saw a familiar name on the screen.
"Vio" was calling.
