Chapter 2: Welcome back dinner.

But then I was frozen in place, and a strange feeling started in the pit of my stomach when I saw who it was. Standing there in front of me is Ashton Marco, son of James Marco, who is one of the members of the Council of Magic. Usually, the children of the members study in one of the academies in Spain. So it was a shock in seeing him here in England.
The silence that was between us stretched for a very long time with both of us intensely starting at the other. The way his blue eyes looks at me made me want to get closer to him, and my feet started moving in their own accord until someone broke the invisible spell that I was captivated by.
”Ashton, we have to go and meet the headmistress before heading back to our room. And your mom called...” the guy who was talking to Ashton stopped midway when he saw me standing there.
”Oh, hey, I didn't see you there, would you kindly show us where the headmistress’s office is?” the guy asked me, he was about the same height as Ashton, well above six foot, with dirty blonde hair and steel grey eyes.
”Sure, right this way.” I offered with a smile on my face and led the way. While we were passing through the dining area, the guy with the blonde hair spoke again.
”So my name is Heath, and this jerk right here is Ashton. What is your name?” Health asked me with a flirty tone.
”I am Sarina, and nice meeting you too.” I replied to him sweetly.
”So what are you specialized in?” he asked me next, and that made my blood boil. When he realized that I am not going to answer his question he spoke again.
”Oh, wait you are a Neutral is it?” he interrogated, and I kept my mouth shut, still not giving him an answer.
”Woah, you don't have to be so uptight, we don't bite unless you want me to.” Heath said cockily. And I turned around and glared at him. While Ashton kept staring at me.
”The office is three-door to your right. And if you are still lost, ask someone else.” I replied in a monotone.
”I think I will see you around.” Heath said with a smirk playing on his lips.
”I hope not.” I replied in a hostile manner. And when I was about to leave, Ashton called me.
”Can I talk to you for a minute?” he asked me with a straight face.
”I am sorry, Mr.Marco, but I have a lot of pending work to take care of.” I replied a bit too formally, and Heath looked at me with awe. Once I gave both of them a curt nod, I left that place as soon as I can. What was that weird feeling I felt back there when I bumped into Ashton? Is it because I am a Neutral that I start to feel other people's magic? I have heard that before, that a Neutral can experience an Enchantador’s magic maybe it was that.
When I entered back into my room June and Celine were curled up on my bed watching a movie. ”Did your bag runaway or something?” Celine asked me jokingly.
”No, I had to help the two newcomers to find their way to the office. That is the reason I got late.” I said while plopping face down on my bed. When they heard the word newcomers, they sat a bit straighter.
”Wait, you got to meet them first. How do they look like?”
” Do you know who they are?” both June and Celine asked at the same time, overly excited to know about all the juicy details. I sighed before answering their questions.
”They look like boys, and their names are Ashton Marco and Heath something.” I replied trying to recall Heath’s last name. Wait! I didn't ask for the last name from him.
”Ashton Marco as in James Marco’s son,” Celine asked appalled.
”Yeah Mr.Marco’s son and he looked like a headstrong kind to me while Heath was a complete jerk and a hopeless romantic.” I said and both June and Celine laughed at my description.
”What did those two do to you for you to look that bend out of shape?” Celine asked me and I stayed quiet, not wanting to reply to that because if I do, I might just break down. It's been a year, and no one stopped teasing me for being a Neutral. I am happy about being a Neutral, but after some time, it gets to you.
”Don't tell me that jerk called you a Neutral?” Celine asked me with furry evident in her eyes. And I stayed calm not wanting to reply.
”Just leave it Cee, it isn't a lie, right? Moreover, I can handle it, as long as both of you are by my side.” I said genuinely. And both June and Celine came over and hugged me.
”We will always be there for you Scar.” June reassured me. And I know no matter what comes up, the three of us will always stick together.
”Okay, enough of this emotional roller coaster, my mascara will be smudged.” Celine joked pulling away from the hug. And both June and I glared at her for breaking such an intense moment.
”I don't know about you two, but I am hungry, so I am heading downstairs. And I heard they have changed the chefs at school, so today we are going to taste some awesome food.” Celine chipped and then walked out of the room and June and I followed her.
When we entered the dining room, it was almost full, people were busy chatting about their vacation and the places they have been to. While the three of us took a seat at the last table with a few seniors talking to themselves.
”Hey Sarina, how are you?” Jessica asked me.
”I am fine, how are you?” I asked her in return.
” I am fine. Can't wait for school to begin tomorrow, I heard two new seniors are joining us today.” She blabbered on, and I just shook my head in response. It did not take long for the whole room to be quiet before our headmistress Mrs.Plum went up on the stage to give her usual speech.
”Good evening, students, I hope all of you had a great winter break. Well, this semester as you must have heard, we are having two new students join our school. I know this is unusual, but they have previously been studying in Spain. So I would like to introduce you to Ashton Marco and Heath Marco. Please treat them as your friend. And wishing you all the best for this semester, thank you.” Mrs.Plum concluded before taking a seat. And all of us started to eat.
Once dinner was over we went back to our room. ”I am going to study for a bit before sleeping so you two sleep, I will turn off the lights later.” June said and went over to her desk to complete her work while Celine and I got ready for bed.
”Good night girls.” I said before turning off my bedside lamp.
”Good night.” they said before I drifted off into a dreamless sleep.
