Chapter 61: How do I say goodbye?

The drunken Almond was causing chaos in the Griffins mansion, throwing and breaking things anyhowly. The maids tried to help him out to his room but the unstoppable man shoved them away and even threatened to fire them.

"Where's he?" Shark who had arrived at the parlour asked one of the maids.

"In the hallway, first floor." The maid responded and Shark scurried up the staircase.

"Do-Don't you miss her?" Almond spoke with a stutter. "You know...I never got a chance to say goodbye to her....I just can't forgive myself. It's all my fault!" He screamed in terror.

"Dad! Look at me, it's not your fault...."

"No! It was my fault, don't you get it! Open your eyes Shark! She left me because I never loved her, don't you see that?" Almond blubbered out bitterly while holding Vanessa's photo close to his bosom. Shark knew the latter was regretting the aftermath of his cold and distant relationship with his wife.

"She's happy up there and she'll always watch over us Dad. All she wants all of us to do is, to move on with our lives. She forgave you long time back." Shark squatted and soothed the drunken stupor before he lulled himself to sleep.

"Marcus, take him to his room." Shark summoned his ever faithful henchman.

Shark took his mother's photo with him and walked downstairs to the bar stroller. He needed a strong drink to drown his sorrows. The fact that he hadn't taken time to mourn his mother, killed him inside and now that Mr. Banks resented him, he felt the urge to grab the bottle of tequila and drink all of its content.

"What did you do to get over the loss of your wife?" Shark suddenly asked Marcus.

"It wasn't that easy, for a whole year, I was stuck in her memories but when I realized that our daughter took after her, I had hope to live again, to live for my daughter. She's more than her ashes that I've long wanted to throw away into the sea." Marcus opened up without sentiments.

"I didn't have the chance to say goodbye to my mother, I've been pretending like it doesn't hurt but it does, it does pain me to the core even if our relationship wasn't a good one. She was still my mother." Shark took one shot of tequila.

"Join me, only for tonight. I don't wanna think about work, Yara or Dr. Shaw. I want to be vulnerable this once. C'mon, sit down." Shark pulled a chair for him and he sat down. He was however surprised to see his Boss sobbing like a little child. He was one glass halfway but Shark had already finished five shots.

"I'm just like my father, we're much more alike in many things. We don't know how to treasure important things untill they're taken away from us. First it was Olivia and now my mother. Have her case investigated first thing tomorrow morning." Shark banged the counter and rose up staggering up the staircase.

Marcus watched him until he vanished out of his sight. Since he wasn't that much drunk, he left the mansion with other two men.

Flower fiddled her hands at a particular frozen body in a nitrogen freezed glass tank as Dr. Arizona tiptoed carefully not to distract her. She smiled to herself and turned around to catch him red-handed.

"I know you've been stalking me for quite some time now. What do you want? Did he send to spy on me?" Flower changed her demeanor to a cold one.

"Not exactly, I don't follow Dr. Shaw's orders and neither does he order me around. I'm a great help to him, without me, you couldn't have had a face reconstruction. Now you can visit your dearest daughter in any way you want, right?" Dr. Arizona smirked devilishly.

"What are insinuating?" She was exasperated.

"What have you been planning behind our backs? You think I don't know how you're trying to salvage yourself from all the mess? Believe me you, your plan isn't gonna work. If you want to bring Shaw down, you don't definitely get to side with the enemy....you don't tell him that Shaw had your mother killed and here is her body, frozen while someone else is buried out there. It was the best decision ever in history. For someone to live, I had to let another go. Trust me, this woman here was tired of being locked up in that psycho facility." Dr. Arizona pursed his lips and chuckled lightly.

"Your reasoning isn't logical. A dead brain can't be manipulated to be something else.. It's better you let the frozen bodies rest in peace. Their families have been living in agony for many years when their loved ones are suffering in the nitrogen tanks...there's no hope for resurrection. Did your wife resurrect? And so did your daughter? You're a murderer! You'll die the same way, trust me. Your skull would be opened up and you'll die miserably. Hope you rot in hell!" She yelped at her.

"You like irrational explanations, don't you? Well, you've been a great nuisance to all of us and I think it's time to let you go. But before that, I want to see you suffer. Guards!"

"What do you think you're doing? No! You can't have me locked up!" Flower saw three men emerge from nowhere, with ropes, cuffs and blindfolds.

"Make her cum for you. Don't forget to record the sensual moment. You know where to keep her tapes." He ordered.

"Let me go! Keep your filthy hands off me!" Flower sturggled to free herself from their firm grip but couldn't as the men were too strong for her fragile self-care.

"Honey, I promise you're gonna have a great time. Moan as much as you want, drive them crazy with your little pussy, after all, you got what you wanted. Shaw has never brought himself to give you a good climax, has he? Be a nice girl and let them have their way. Take her now!" He thundered.
