Chapter 3: System Level 2
A few days later.
"Finished," Violet said as he finished building a small wooden house.

"This took longer than I expected," I said.
The Daily training and Get something to eat missions are easily completed as soon as I was able to walk.
I found some fruits to eat and 10 of every exercise is not something that hard to complete.
Every time I finished them the same two missions are repeatedly assigned to me over and over again with very little to no changes in the rewards.
"Status," I called out as the system activated.

My strength increased by five points during these few days.
The daily training mission was effective but the process was really slow.
However, my intelligence remained the same.
With no access to any books, I was unable to increase my intelligence stats.
"Hey, system! How do I increase my level? I mean didn't the systems usually have experience bars that you can fill up?" I asked.
[The level system is for the system and not the user. A higher level system will give the user more tools and skills to help in your journey. At level two the user will be able to have access to the system shop.]
"Shop? Do you mean if I increase the level of the system I can buy whatever I want?" I asked.
[The system shop is opened at level 2 and will offer the user useful items and skills that will be refreshed once every week. And with every level item, you can get better items and better deals. Maxing out at level 10. At level 10 you can buy everything you want from the system shop at any time you want.]
"I see. System, can you show me the cost to update the level?" I asked.
[Use 10pts to update the system to level 2.
The next level required 100pts and the level after that will require 1000pts.]
"Yes," I said.
[System updated to level 2. Obtained 10str, 10Int, Gi(E) and Update stone(A)]
[System shop opened.]
[Daily missions rewards are adjusted to suit the user more.]
"That much." I was surprised.
I just updated the system because I wanted to have access to the shop.
However, the rewards gained from updating the system are more than worth it.
"Ha." I then punched a tree as I easily made a hole in the tree.
The increased stats are something to behold.
"Hahahahaha." I laughed.
I was satisfied.
"What is this?" Then I noticed a reward that I was not very familiar with.

"System, Use the update stone on the power pole," I said as the power pole was the only appropriate tool to update at that time.
[Consume the Update stone to use it.]
"Consume? Do you mean I have to eat the rock?" I asked.
[Yes. The user needs to eat the update stone to get the effect.]
"Really? Isn't there another way?" I asked.
But it was useless.
Then with no options left I decided to eat the update stone to update the power pole.

A powerful pole that can extend its reach. With the new update, although it was weightless, the weight of the power pole was increased to 8 tons whenever it was wielded by someone other than the user.

"8 tons?" I said as I hold the power pole in my hands in surprise.
It was just like holding a feather.
However, whenever I wielded it around I noticed that there were still some weights on the pole.
Although I cannot feels the weight I was able to feel the wind created whenever I swings the power pole and the sound it makes whenever I dropped to the ground.
"Amazing," I said.
"With this, I think I can defeat Goku," I said.
Why did I bring up Goku while thinking about something that was not even related to him?
Why was I so obsessed with Goku?
Is it because I was jealous of him being the protagonist?
Is it because of the divine soul that I possess that hates him?
The answer was quite simple.
It's just that I wanted to have some kind of meaning in my life.
Even if it's as shallow and stupid as wanting to defeat Goku.
"System. Show me how much time is left before the tournament begins." I said to the system.

I then started to undress to wear the gi that the system gave to me.
"S? Is that your logo?" I asked the system as I looked at the gi that was provided to me.
It was a dark gi with white accessories.
It also possesses a huge S on it's back and a small S on the front.
[Yes. It's my logo. Do you like it?] the system asked.
"Can you just remove it? It looks ugly." I said to the system.
[Yes.] The system said while displaying a crying emoji on the system Tab.
