Chapter 20: The Obstacles
FLASHBACK
As he sat in the car and drove off, he was still not willing to go. At a distance almost closer to the hospital, which was the high way, he saw one of these long vehicles approaching him. He tried stepping on the brakes but they failed. He did it again and unfortunately they were not working. He began to sweat all of a sudden. He was filled with confused because he could not understand why he had just used the car yesterday and nothing like such happened but today has. He was wondering. Immediately he bent his head to check, suddenly, "CRUSHED"
The car was diverted from the road to hit one of the giant trees in the forest by the road. A passing taxi driver saw the incident and quickly called the police. When the people police arrived, they tried locating the long vehicle that had crushed with Max's car but it had fallen in a very long deep pit. After they had suffered to bring it up to the road, it was too fatal. The driver's body parts could not even be found.
They called an ambulance and sent Max's bleeding body to the hospital. Then they checked inside his car and found his phone which helped them with his resident location.
"Please is this Wilson's Mansion?"
One of the police asked.
"Yes please is there any problem?"
I answered.
"Do you know Mr. Maxwell Wilson?"
"Yes he's my would be husband. What is the matter?"
I knew Max wouldn't do anything bad for American police to be looking for him but I wanted to know more.
"What relationship are you having with him please?"
"Can't you see everything here? We're are about to get married"
I became more scared.
''Plese tell me, what has he done?"
"It would have been better if he had gotten arrested instead of..."
"Instead of what? Continue!"
I shouted as I took off my vail and dropped it on the floor.
"Ma'am, he is fighting with life and death at the moment"
"What! Wait maybe you are mistaking with the person. It can't be him"
I smiled and shaked my head but he showed to us a phone that belong to Max. My heart sanked immediately.
"How? When? Where?"
l sat on the floor and sobbed bitterly while Clara and Frank looked at each other and gave a hi five in the air. They jubilated silently.
"So where is his body now?"
Clara asked.
"He's at the hospital. but we need a family member right now"
"Aww that's so bad. sorry for this misfortune sister"
She said patting me on the shoulders like she cared even though she still had feelings for Max.
