Chapter 14: Evil unleashed

"Maaaan. I can't wait to get back." 4 men are walking through the forest and talking. They are wearing gear designed for combat, but differing on each person, indicating that they are most likely adventurers.

After hunting beasts in the forest, these 4 men took a break and started to walk back towards the city.

"Shut the hell up Obi. She can't be that good." One of the men responds.

"No I'm telling you. Her ass is like fat pear and her tits are like two melons. She's absolutely stunning." Obi says.

"I just can't believe you. I mean a woman like that, why would she hang out with you?" One of the men ponders.

"I know right. Obi is just a B ranked adventurer. A woman like that could have a noble wrapped around her thumb." Another adds.

"Shut the hell up gu... Wait, who's that." Obi cuts himself off, as he sees a figure approaching them. As veteran adventurers, the 4 men instantly become wary of the figure.

The figure seems human. However as the person comes nearer to them, instead of relaxing, the 4 men get even more restless.

"Oi... Are you guys feeling this." One of the men whispers to the others.

"Yeah... It feels like a suffocating evil pressure is trying to crush me." One of them responds.

"Stay sharp." Obi calls out and readys himself.

Once the figure is 200 meters away from the men, they see it clearly.

It's a woman. A curvacious woman. She's wearing seemingly nothing, yet she is covered by something. Around half of her body is covered ny darkness, in different spots. Including a strange symbol on her forehead and the conspicuous curved blade, that makes up her right arm.

The woman is leisurely walking towards the confused men. The forest has gone silent and the men feel goosebumps run up their arms from the sight of her.

Why are they feeling this suffocating evil and malice? Is it because of this woman? Why does she seem so eerie. These are the questions going through their minds.

However they know better to ignore their instincts. Honed by countless life and death situations, their instincts have saved them each and every time.

"Hey you, stop!" Obi yells at the woman. Suprisingly, the woman actually stops. This serves to ease the men a bit and they start approaching her themselves.

When they reach close to her, they are finally able to see her face. What they see is the most stunning woman they have ever seen.

Yet the men have no intention to admire her beauty. The womans eyes scrounge up a deep, primal fear within the men. Those black eyes, that shine with a purple hue. And her facial expression that's twisted into a deep, evil frown, practically advertising that she's has bad intentions.

"Where is the nearest settlement." The woman speaks. Her voice is cold, even and domineering. Her question sounds more like a command, than that of a question.

"I-it's just o-over there." Obi responds and points. He stutters slightly, but considering the situation, he did very well.

The woman looks down, as if trying to hide her expression. But contrary to her thoughts, the 4 men can clearly see her expression. They can clearly see the cruel smile she has on.

All of a sudden spikes come out of the earth and penetrate the legs of the men. These spikes are only long enough to reach their knees.

"Aaaaargh." They scream in pain and fall on the ground. Writhing around and hold their legs in a similar fashion.

The woman walks next to Obi, then she stabs his shoulders with her slender finger and moves on. Poking a hole in each limb. Now neither his legs or arms work.

Then the woman transmits some kind of dark mass on Obi. The mass spreads out on his body and wraps around it sparsely, like a mechanical exoskeleton.

Obi being in pain and confused, has no idea what is happening, but suddenly he is standing up. He endures another wave of incredible pain, as he moves against his will. However this is not the end, as he starts walking on his own. He groans and yelps everytime he moves, displaying his suffering.

He walks towards his crewmate, takes his sword and chops off his mates arm.

"Haaaaaaaaarghh" The man screams in horror and in pain. His own friend just chopped off his arm, for seemingly no reason!

"Kufufufu." A slight chuckle escapes the mouth of the woman, as she watches the show.

"No, no. It wasn't me. Liris it wasn't me!" Obi tries to defend himself and explain his innocence to his friend. Yet as if to spite him, his body once again rises his sword and chops off the man's other arm.

"Haaaaargg." He screams again and writhes around. "P-please Obi. P-p-please Obi, NO MORE!!" He pleads.

"I'm telling you, it's not me!" Obi exclaims.

The woman watches as Obi dismembers his crewmate, one limb at a time. Then finally slowly slits his friends throat and moves on to the next one. She watches as Obi proceeds to slowly kill all 3 of his friends. Crying and pleading while he does it.

When all 3 of them are dead, the woman finally releases Obi from her control. Making him collapse like a puppet, on the ground. She walks over to him and looks down on the creature.

"You were most entertaining." She says. Then she stomps on his head, breaking it apart like a watermelon.

....

....

I stare down at the 4 dead useless humans and or some odd reason I have this urge to collect their souls... Not thinking much, I just grab them. This is most likely somehow useful to me, so no need to ponder on it.

I start walking towards the supposed settlement, that the pile of organs and blood gave me directions on. While walking, I continue to think about what I need to do to increase my strength.

The first thing is simple. I just need to continue perfecting my arts. Not only that, I need to work skills into it and intwine them to figure out the most powerful combinations I can execute.

Another thing I have to do is get a better weapon and perhaps some armour. Currently I'm using magisteel swords. They're good quality, but they still get bent and sometimes break.

And third, I simply need to eat creatures and increase my magicule count.

So I walk towards a city with my new plan in mind. I must set up a base somewhere, as perfecting techniques is an incredibly time consuming activity. In the last 20 years I have made tremendous progress, but I'm nowhere near optimizing my skillset.

I walk for 20 minutes, reaching the end of the forest. In front of me is a large city, that has high walls around it. I smile as I gaze at my benefactors.

To set up a base and train, some resources are needed. What better way to aquire tons of resources then looting a city.

I head to the gate and skip past the line. This action obviously draws a lot of attention and dissatisfaction. However since I have my darkness unleashed, people gaze at me in fear, rather than anger.

Once I reach the gate, the guard stops me.

"Halt! You need..." He speaks his last words, as he spontaneously combusts in hellfire and turns to ashes within a second. The two other guards adopt shocked expression, then combust as well.

After that I leisurely walk in, ignoring the terrified screams of the bystanders. More guards show up due to the commotion, but I burn them all down.

"Weaklings." They're not even worth considering as a threat. No reason to eat them either.

I walk towards the better part of the city and locate the high-end stores. Then I simply walk in and take what I want. Whoever tries to stop me, dies.

I repeat this with all other stores I want things from. Ending up emptying a smithy, a few clothing shops, a restaurant, a weapons shop and a library.

The guards are like cockroaches, as they keep showing up in groups, only to get stomped to death by me.

Once I'm done collecting what I want, I fall into thought. This seems like a good time to test out some of my abilities in a city. Hmm, let's start with...

"Ď̸̩̲̖͚̻̪̲̽̃́͝͝i̷̮͇̖̭̦̯̤̯̻̊̅̐̓̂̎̀e̵̝͉͗̓́" I use my dragon tongue skill to test out the limits of it. My voice echoes in the surroundings and mysteriously people start falling down, dead.

"Hmm." I hum as I inspect the effect. It seems every living creature within a 2 kilometer radious died. Which means around a quarter of the city just died from that. Fresh corpses litter the scene.

I nod, pleased.

However there are 2 exceptions to this. These two are significantly more powerful than everyone else, so it seems like there is a point where my power will stop affecting someone.

I fly towards the two, to see what I'm dealing with. I find the first one laying on the ground. he seems to have trouble breathing and he looks pale. He kind of looks like he just had a heart attack.

I poke him with my foot to see if he reacts, but no result. He just has an amusing expression on, like he's trying not to die. I smirk at that, then stomp on his neck, killing him and collect his soul.

I fly to the 2nd one. This one is in an even worse condition. The man is passed out and barely exhibits signs of life. I kill him with a spike of darkness to his head, then fall into thought.

It seems that there is a threshold where my ability can't just directly kill an individual. They will instead recieve damage, depending on how above said threshold they are power wise.

Next I decide to try out weight manipulation.

I grab a fist sized stone and fly up into the air. Then I multiply it's weight to be as heavy as I can make it. I end up making it around 5000 times heavier.

This is quite a disappointment. Add to the fact that I can only manipulate the weight of objects I am in physical contact with. This skill obviously has uses, but it doesn't have the kind of destructive potential I'm looking for. Atleast not yet.

"Tch." I click my tongue and randomly throw the stone into the city. It ends up crushing some poor familys house, in a small-scale explosion.

Next I make my right arm into a large curved blade, out of darkness. Then I use weight manipulation on myself and deliver a devestating blow straight down.

*BOOOOOM* *Tremble* *Tremble*

A massive cloud of dust is kicked up by me, as the near vicinity is utterly decimated. Tremors travel farther in, causing some minor damage further down the city.

With just 2 moves from me, most of the city is destroyed. I leisurely walk and gaze at my handywork with a deep frown and cruel smirk, that seem to never leave my face anymore.

I see some people rush out from a dilapated house and try to run away. But they end up running into spikes that pop up from the ground.

As I walk over to them, I see that the woman dropped a baby. The creature is crying on the ground. Obviously hurt.

Without emotion, I raise my right leg up and bring it down on the thing.

*Crunch* *Squelch* When I remove my foot, all that's left from the thing is mulch.

As there is no one alive in the vicinity, I look up in the sky. The thick clouds threaten to unleash heavy rainfall any minute. I jump up and hover above the city.

Not yet done with it, I turn into my dragon form in the sky. A lot of people are alerted as a 200 meter long dragon suddenly appears. Due to this, the survivors get even more panicked.

Apathetic to the peoples concerns, I fly around the city and exhale poisonous breath everywhere. I fill up the whole city with my venom and then wait for it to take effect. Meanwhile I shoot out hellfire and lighting to make it more fun.

Within 5 minutes almost everyone in the city is dead. Whoever survives my poison breath, is located with my universal sense and then finished off by sniping.

Then I use spacial magic to gather everyone in a huge pile of dead bodies in the centre of the city and chomp down on the huge pile, eating everyone. Also collecting their souls.

Once I've eaten everything, I hear the voice of the world.

[Notice. Conditions met. Beginning harvest festival.]

After I hear the message, a wave of exhaustion hits me. I don't think much, just teleport to some field.

Once I'm there, I shift back into my human form and flop down beside a tree. Erecting a barrier and falling unconcious.
