Chapter 22: 22 Door handles?
"Or have you come to play?" It tilted its head to the side robotically. The long hair parted somewhat but there seemed to be no other features below it. Just milky grey skin.
Wen felt someone stumble into his back. They were heavy and he would have fell if it weren't for him holding onto a door handle. He looked back at the person to see the deformed creature from earlier.
It seemed it was still following him. "Sorry..." It spat out when it took note of Wen's sour expression.
"Bruh." Wen turned away from it, facing the more ominous creature infront of him. While the creature behind him may look scary, it was definitely all bark and no bite. The thing in front of him was definitely more dangerous.
"Alishka, What are you doing?" The elegant creatures smile dropped sending the room into a cold chill. Alishka froze at the boss's question. "If your not going to follow orders, then why am I wasting time taking care of you? Hm?"
They all stood in awkward silence. Well, less awkward and more stiff. The long haired creature seemed to be glaring at Alishka, daring them to do something.
"S-Sorry boss."
"You called me over here to avenge you, no? Then why aren't you taking revenge?" While the boss was lecturing Alishka, Wen walked over to the lump of a body on the floor.
He had noticed it earlier, the listless body covered it blood. He just hoped it wasn't who he thought it was. He bent down over the body to study who it was and wasn't suprized to see grey eyes staring at him.
It was Labcoat and he wasn't dead. The man had blinked to confirm Wen's suspitions. "What-"
L slapped his hand over Wen's mouth and put up a finger infront of his own lips. Wen was confused but saw L glance at something to the side, Wen followed his line of sight and saw the monsters conversing. He decided to whisper instead. "You look stupid, what are you doing? Why is there blood everywhere? Where's Ethan?"
"You're not good at whispering." L whispered back before motioning his hand towards the mans injury. "Also didn't I tell you to stay in the room? Look at you! It's gotten so much worst!"
"Do you want me to blink at you instead? Also I'm sorry for running for my life." Wen retaliated while blinking like a crazy person.
L shook his head. "I'm playing dead. The blood is not from me nor Ethan." Then L lifted up a hand and pointed somewhere. Wen's eyes followed like a lost pup. Ethan was in the corner, unconscious.
"The blood is from who then?" Wen said nonchalantly. He followed L's finger up and saw that there were indeed corpses tied from the ceiling. They all had missing limbs, as if they were eaten by something.
"Ew... That's funny." Wen pointed to one of the corpses bloated plum faces, their tounge had lolled out of there mouth and their eyes were missing.
L mentally facepalmed. 'Why Wen, why.'
Suddenly L just dropped. Literally just went limp right infront of Wen's eyes. It made the mans eyes go wide in suprize. "Labcoat?"
Wen stepped closer and kneeled in the crimson liquid, it stained his pants a lovely color. "Labcoat, what happened? Are you ok?"
He felt a shadow rise up his back. It darkened the limp man's body infront of him. He looked up backwards, craning his neck. "Eh?"
"Don't worry, your friend is just unconcious, he will soon be one of them though. Do you want to join?" The person pointed up. A floral scent hit his nose, but if he smelled close enough, there was an awful rotten smell beneath the silver lining. Just like the persons voice.
He didn't have to look up to know what the monster was talking about. He'd already seen it from L. He flashed a smile, "Maybe later when I'm ready to retire from life."
Wen stood up and dusted off the blood from his clothes but it had already stained, making his actions useless. Wen saw Alishka sitting in a corner, as if they were a punished toddler. He then glanced L. The man had seen that the creature wasn't paying attention to himself anymore and quickly mouthed to Wen. 'Leave.' His lips spelled out.
Wen frowned and looked at the closed doors before turning away to look back at the ominous creatures face that was infront of him. "Well... I should go, It was nice meeting you though."
L clenched his jaw at Wen's words but he managed to keep his eye's closed. 'The fu*k would you tell them? Are you mental?... oh wait.'
The creature let out a crow-like sound, Wen figured that it was suppose to be a mocking laugh. "You think I'm just going to let you go?"
"Please?" Wen pouted, trying to look cute.
The monster frowned. The conversation had drew the nearby Alishka's attention and they looked away from the wall in the corner to where Wen and their boss were.
They made eye contact for a breif moment before Wen mouthed help to the creature. The creature shook it's head and turned to face the wall again, sticking up a long clawed middle finger. 'You really think im gonna help you and get myself in trouble again.'
Wen gasped. "You pig teammate!"
The trench coat creature saw the whole exchange and thinned their lips. "Stop manipulating my people."
"Tch- more like your people manipulated themselves. They was following me the whole time, I did nothing!" Wen retaliated, crossing his arms with a pout.
'Wen are you serious right now?' L glared at the man's back. He suppressed the drive to roll his eyes and instead pinched the mans ankle.
"Ow!" Wen glared down at L.
The creature noticed that L was awake and a bitter laugh escaped from their lips. "Alishka, you want redemption?" They drawled.
Alishka looked over hesitantly, they knew exactly what they wanted them to do. Seeing the hesitance in the shorter ones eyes it scoffed. "Of course. Unreliable as always. Monoo!"
Alishka's eyes widened when they heard the name. Monoo was the third member of there little posse and was also the most savage. When they were alive they heard they were some chunny with 8th grade syndrome. They were also the bosses cousin and so they were favored. The rest were lucky that Monoo was so introverted.
Slow thuds sounded in the room. It was loud enough to make the room feel like it was shaking.
"Fu*k-" L panicked. He didn't know what- or who- the monster called and he didn't want to find out. He stood up and ran to pick up the unconcious Ethan, who had been sitting limp in the corner. The contact startled Ethan awake and he drowzily rubbed his eyes before blinking at the scene before him. "Huh-"
Wen was busy busting the door open, or at least trying to, but with his thin arms, he was barely able to make a dent. "Try the door handle!"
"What door handle!?!?"
L paused, the slightly hazy Ethan got jostled by the sudden stop... "What do you mean 'what door handle', all doors have door hand-"
"Are you looking for this?" The tall creature tilted there head and twirled the door handle in there grip.
"I-, what the fu-. Who the hell-. hAh?" Alishka stuttered. All of them were dumbfounded. Who even thinks about pulling door handles out of doors to stop people from leaving?!?! Only someone clearly deranged out of their minds!
The thudding sounds gotten closer and for the first time, Wen felt actual fear in his heart. His face, which usually stood it's ground in horrid situations, betrayed him, twisting into a look of pure horror. Wen could only stand there, frozen.
Alishka cursed mentally and ran up to the door. It didn't even know why it was helping the man who took it's gifted eye but it felt something inside it whenever it saw the guy. His expression just now dug deep into Alishka's memories, reminding it of a certain someone.

And I just slammed it right inbetween an important scene, im so evil.
Im not sorry though.
This ark is almost over and you guys will meet new characters! And Wen will finally be his killing machine self soon! Yay~
That does mean certain characters will be leaving. But... who do you think it will be?

MelonDreamrr I have no idea what I'm doing.
I have an idea but im bull sh*tting to get there. Like- I have a general layout of events that will happen but to get there is fuzzy, uk? So I make things up along the way. Maybe this sounds unreliable but I made it this far, right?
anyway sorry for not updating, I get car sick easily and so this took my a long time to write bc I was on road trip.
