- This story contains brutal descriptions of brutal torture, brainwashing, and in some occasions, death. I currently hold the belief right now that this story does not need to be a bloodbath of death and murder, so I will try to limit the deaths in it. However, when there are death scenes, I would like to warn that I will use all of my decades plus writing expertise and fangirling of Amazon Prime's Invincible to make it brutal as hell. Basically I want every death to mean something.
- Some characters may experience what I have decided to call a "Persona Death", similar in concept to the Ego Death concept, however, instead, through intense brainwashing, torture, and continued trauma, all or some of a character's main personality may be 'killed', being replaced by a new persona. Most personas are similar enough to their old one in most regards, like a very kind person won't usually become like a Hitler-esque person. It is possible, but let me give an example. If a person is very kind, but say, not 'compliant enough', or bases their entire life off of one thing, and experiences Persona Death, (defiants usually through consistent brutal torture and other 'reeducation' methods, the singular based people usually experience a PD when that one thing is changed in their mind, ie, if a character's near whole thing is being racist, they would experience PD when and if they begin being unable to continue due to conscious,) then a Persona Death may not only make them extremely compliant and submissive, but may also cause mental illness or other changes to mentality, for example, they may go from being a very stern and serious person to a very immature child-like person, while maintaining that 'special thing' that makes them them. It's more or less more of a "Persona Transition" to be honest, but Persona Death in my opinion clearly and accurately describes how damaging and traumatic this experience is.
- Brutal abuse and assault.
- Brutal, cruel, unique, and downright horrendous interrogation, torture, 'punishments', some may result in death.
- Mentions, and detailed descriptions of 'reeducation' methods in action, I tried to make it realistic for most characters. Instead of doing some dubious research on how much bullshit the human mind can take, I instead come up with methods that I personally would be severely traumatized from, and that will be how it is for most, however I am somewhat weak-willed If I am to be honest, so for certain characters with stronger wills, they may be a bit unrealistic in terms of how much they can endure.
- Other general inhumane actions.
- Some characters hold offensive views and or beliefs, whether it's on politics, sexual orientation, gender identity, race, religion, or other concepts, and as such, may be vocal about them as well. I would like to state that I do not have those views.
- In order to try and have an interesting set of diverse characters, I made their races/ethnicity, religion, political views, sexual orientation, and gender identity diverse. I would like to state that I am not perfect at writing characters that are very different from me.
- Several characters change in many ways from their beginning over time, this is done as a way to (hopefully) realistically show what insane amounts of trauma all at once can do to a person's mind, refer to my blurb on Persona Deaths. To be clear, not all characters who go through noticeable changes in personality will experience a Persona Death, PDs are more for the extreme cases.
- Eventually there will be fictional politics involved, basically future wars or simply 'redrawing the map'. I would like to state here that it will not always be super realistic as to how things would happen in real life, this is fiction, and I'm going to have fun with it. However, I will make efforts to thoroughly explain motives, desires, and actions of real world governments or organizations using a surface level knowledge of real world politics.
- This story is overall very dark, and not intended for younger audiences.
