Chapter 26: Excitement
In the evening, almost every corner of the Hazel city was decorated with fancy lighting , captivating wall paintings, delicious food items rested on each stall for everyone , engrossing magics were started for the entertainment of the people, special play of dramas showcased , etc.
Every single person was wearing colourful outfits for the function.An illuminating aura spread all over the area.Many visitors from other towns near Hazel came for the annual festival.
" Wow! It feels so lively today." Robert said cheerfully as he and other knights were browsing around everywhere.
"Sir ! come to our food stall, our chicken stew is best out of best."
"No sir! We have the best sweets."
When stall keepers saw the Pearls Knights ,they overwhelmed and started offering their food items.
"Oh God! "
"I'm going to eat till I die hee..hee " Fredrick said with a funny laugh.
"Don't you even think of eating like a horse. We have to provide protection,so keep your stomach light." June told with serious look
"What? No...." Fredrick pouted with sadness.
Max arrived , wearing gothic criss-cross buckle straps fur shoulder coat and a black trouser with his sword on the right side of it.
He looked mesmerizingly handsome with a tyrannical expression which was enough to take anyone's breathe.
"Send some of the soldiers to go check the main road and keep an eye on everyone...Any outsider can get in here by taking advantage of the crowd." Max told just as he arrived.
"Yes sir!"
"Then I'll go with some of the knights." June went with some of the soldiers just as Max ordered him.
"Commander you are looking different today.Handsome man.." Fredrick commented on Max like a fan boy.
"Shut up Fredrick." Max sighed
"Don't be shy Commander.he he heee...sorry." Hemsworth tried to tease Max but shut his mouth up when he looked at Max stares.
The celebration commenced with a beautiful volk music played by the musician in vernacular.People stopped by and listened to the welcome song for harvesting started.
Merry was with the local ladies who groomed Merry's hair in traditional style like them and one of the maid servent Clary from the palace was there to assist Merry,who arrived one day later due to bad weather condition.
"My lady, what about this dress?" one of the lady asked.
"Ah ac-actually....If y-you don't mind, I have a d-dress I want to wear.." Merry said it timidly.
"Ofcourse Madam!"
Merry wore the dress Max had gifted her.
The dress was knee length, light weight fine silk with belt, it was a caucasian style dress of off white colour with golden lining and buttons on top.Merry's hair was done as a dual braided bun and decorated with fresh poppy flowers.

"My lord, it would be really great if you and ladyship light up the flambeau of the church." The head priest put his wish in front of Max.
"Ofcourse as you say." Max agreed.No one expected that Max would agree so easily.Last time, when he was asked to do worship in the church on becoming the king, he refused as he never believed in these things especially God.
"We are looking forward to it.Now, I go and prepare for the ritual."The priest said.
"But where is our ladyship?" Everyone looked for Merry.
"Merry will be here soon."Max informed.
"Very well then." The priest smiled and nodded.
After a while, Merry got out with people who she had been with and her servent Clary.
"I'm totally sure that our lord will be stunned after looking at his beautiful wife." One lady named Quara said it.
"Definitely! If I were a man ,I would have fallen for our ladyship every moment." Clary said it
unswerving with chuckles.
"Y-You too Clary?!" Merry was already being teased by other ladies but now Clary too started teasing her while having lot of fun like a friend.
'I feel so comfortable around these people, I never thought I would ever be able to connect with them this soon....but I hope Max would like it too..this dress is lovely...and I don't think I suit them at all...' Merry thought while struggling to get her mind collected.
Max was discussing about something with some people about the matter of transfer of power of the Mokama king in hinter who was ruling over it since last four decades.
"So, he went back to the estate he had bought.."
"That's right lord."
"Oh! The ladyship has arrived."
Max turned to look, he was quite astounded when he looked Merry who looked like divine beauty with those cute look on her face.
All knights and people were astonished to have a look of their ladyship.
Knights blushed when they couldn't take their eyes off their ladyship.
Merry stepped forward and stood near Max who was still looking at her without even blinking.
"Max?" Merry called with soft low voice.Max was disoriented at that moment.
"Huh?" Max startled and tried to distract his eyes a little but couldn't.
"Oh Gosh! " Max perplexed by his own euphoria.
"Goodness! They look so amazing together."
Everyone admired their lord and ladyship with happiness.
"My Lord, My Ladyship, please come this way." The priest asked them follow him to the church.Max nodded and offered his hand to Merry. Merry noticed that Max was wearing the cufflinks she had gifted.Merey smiled with euphoria.
Everyone excitedly gathered inside the church.
Max and Merry blazed the flambeau togather.The priest started the hymn.While others were focusing on praying to their God, but on other hand, Max was staring at Merry with devotion.
The ritual ended after a while,then all of them went to watch the volk dance.
Each and everyone joined the dance and danced on a beautiful, energetic song.
People asked Max and Merry to join too.Merry looked at Max surprisedly.
"Do you wanna join?" Max asked with a warm smile.
" I-If you come too then." Merry said hesitatingly.
"Alright! Shall we?" Max agreed and took Merry hand and joined the chain dance.
Merry enjoyed it with all her heart.While Max adored every single moment he watched Merry's rhythm.
Max didn't remember when he had last enjoyed like this.
"I can't tell you how much I am happy to see our lord smiling like this after a long time." Fredrick said with a smile.
"Me too.He had forgotten that he is human not an instrument.He needs to relax a little." Sidney said calmly.
" I think the ladyship will make him realise how much his existence is significant for everyone." Fredrick added.
"I guess you are right." Sidney smiled.
"Let's go old man,have some dance too. haha" Sidney petted Fredrick back and said.
" You are old not me! You jerk! " Fredrick flamed up with his ragging nature.
"Ha ha "
Both of them too went to join the dance.
