Chapter 31: Dorms.
I woke up feeling refreshed and quickly slid out from under the covers. It seemed mother was out as of now so I took a quick shower and put on some fresh clothes. I decided I would wear a black tall contrast mesh lantern sleeve ruched bodycon dress which mother had bought me on a shopping trip. I thought it suited me quite nicely.

I put on some black shoes with slight heels and exited my room to then head out. I had checked the clock on my way out and the time read 10:21 so I must've slept in by accident but hopefully the results would be shown by now.
I walked down the bustling streets filled with people from all sorts of backgrounds. Some beast-kin and elves walked the same streets as the humans, which payed them no mind and did not poke fun at them, who were just as happy as anyone else here while walking around. There were many different styles of clothing in this world despite the more 1900's looking buildings but some looked like the housing from modern times of 2000's. Clothing varied in both colour, size and style. Some wore frilly dresses that reached their ankles and others wore tech-wear.
'I'm glad there isn't much restrictions on what you wear. I wouldn't want to wear a frilly nobles dress.' I thought to myself as I past many people.
I continued to walk until I found myself standing in front of the gates to Kerose Academy which had magic letters flying in the air which were clear to see with your eyes. The black floating writing was the results from our test. It was good everyone was marked with speed as if I failed, which I doubted, I would waste no time going back to Barself and ultimately my home in the mountains to return to training and studying to pass the following years test.
I searched for my name which was at the very top left which read, 'NO.1 - Kiera. Physical - Above average, A*. Magic - Above average, A*. Written - Above average, A*.' Next to my name going from left to right was NO.2 who had A* in physical and magic but an A in the written test and NO.3 who had A* in magic and written but only A in physical. It continued on right until it reached NO.15 before it went onto the next row. There was a total of 400 who passed and there was a board which showed those who failed but didn't show their results but at the bottom in brackets it said to find a teacher if they wanted to know their score.
I was pleased that I got in and NO.1 at that but there is bound to be someone jealous or people trying to gain connections which I was not going to allow. I didn't need it.
I then entered the academy and walked around. I found a teacher and it was Scarlet the A - rank adventurer from the interview. I went up to her and asked,
"Where do you register for the dorms?"
"Hello Kiera, I see you passed. What was your rank? I'll lead you to the dorms, they are on the other side of the academy so it's expected you didn't know where they were." Scarlet said not looking surprised I passed.
"Thanks. I got NO.1 with all A*'s." I replied which shocked the woman which leaded me towards the dorms.
'She must be stronger than I thought. I can only see her magical aura nothing about her physical ability nor her mental abilities.' Scarlet thought to herself as she mumbled, "I see, congratulations."
"You will be assigned a private tutor as you will be asked if you want one once the school term starts again." Scarlet said with a smile.
"Okay." I said looking at my surroundings while I walked.
'Not much of a talker. Doesn't seem like she shows emotion either.' Scarlet thought as she arrived at the dorms.
The dorm building looked like flats which held many. It was well decorated both inside and out making it a show of wealth. There was a desk at the front with a young woman which was an elf with green hair and yellow eyes.
"Hello what may we do for you." She spoke with a gentle voice and a smile.
Obviously it's a fake smile though.
"I want to sign up for the dorms." I said as I walked up to the counter.
"Alright, let me grab a sheet and I would like you to fill in the details."
I took the paper and started to write. It was just my name and rank I came in on the tests along with other things like gender and age. Obviously I'm a girl but it was still necessary to write.
The lady took back the sheet once I had filled in the details. She then looked through some files and once finished she spoke.
"All the dorms for your age group have been taken. Would you mind sharing a room with some seniors there is one which has space for another since one member has left."
"I don't mind." I said as she passed me the key.
"3rd floor, room 27." She said.
"Thank you, you too Scarlet." I said as I walked off to my room. It was easy to navigate through the corridors since I had [Spacial awareness] and great senses.
I soon arrived at a wooden door with a golden plate which had '27' carved into it. I opened the door and saw a clean room with three beds at the back and a kitchen to the left of the door which wasn't blocked by any walls and to my right was a bathroom. Towards the back to the right of the beds was a glass door and a balcony and the left had a room for training.
'Not bad.' I thought as I took the only bed available which was the one right next to the balcony.
I remembered to bring my clothes and stuff in my [Spacial storage] and I just kept them in there for now. Just then I realised there was a sliding door in the wall and I opened it to reveal a bunch of shelves and hangers presumably for my clothing. I took everything from my [Spacial storage] and organised it in the wardrobe. Once I finished putting everything away I went out onto the balcony.
The balcony was made with white marble and had railings. It was spacious and had a chair and table on the left after walking out leaving the middle and right bare. I walked over to the edge of the balcony and placed my right hand on the railings and jumped so I could swing my legs around and sit on the railings. Dangerous move on my part but it didn't matter, I could fly after all and from this night I could jump without injuring myself.
I heard a click from the front door to my dorm room and a gasp followed. A gust of wind came rushing past and swept my hair to the side as I turned my head to see who entered.
"Tess?" I asked a little surprised.
Tess was standing there looking at me with another girl next to her.
