Chapter 0 A rigid beginning
By the time I regained consciousness, I felt like my head was being crushed, super dark, and feeling confined to a very tight space, I started struggling as hard as I could by throwing my arms and legs around, but it didn't help much.
All of a sudden I felt someone pulling on my legs pretty hard and after what felt like an eternity I saw light again... wow it's good to feel alive again.
After a moment of mesmerization and getting carried away jimmy made a realization
Wait a minute... how do I know that I am alive? Did I die in the first palace?
I noticed that I wasn't able to see and accommodate to my surroundings properly and the light was too blinding, so, I tried to block my vision by bringing my arms up, however, I noticed that I didn't even have the strength to lift my arms.
As I was starting to notice these oddities, breathing was becoming harder and harder, to the point that I was suffocating and started to get a shade of purple on my skin.
Desperately trying to get some air in I started to struggle with the whole of my body involuntarily, but to no avail, I couldn't get any breath in.
After some futile struggle and reminiscing, thus, reminding me of the pain that I've just experienced a while ago, the only thing that I could do was cry, so I started crying...
For how pitiful, powerless, and noisy I was...
Butting in others' business, not thinking things through, playing as a knight of justice, taking life for granted, and not thinking about the consequences of my actions.
While jimmy was busy thinking and crying about his past life and his current difficulties a couple was feeling even more distressed than him.
A massive man (standing at around 212 cm, with a well-sculpted body, bald head except for a single lock of curly blond hair hanging from just above his brow, rocking a thick, blond handlebar mustache, which hides his mouth while accentuating his strong jaw line; Though these characteristics give Alexie a rather menacing visage, his eyes are blue and kind-looking) who was jimmy's father was pacing around the room nervously while stopping himself from gagging and throwing up on this important day.
Taking a look at his wife passed out, being carried to the emergency section, and his child who was constantly crying, trying to cough, and struggling nonstop; Alexei was feeling lost, thinking about any way to help, he approached the midwife who apparently noticed that jimmy was having difficulty breathing and patted the baby on the back and thorax area, which eased the baby's cries.
The midwife realized the baby normal breathing and Alexie approached her and gave the baby to his parent while reassuring him about the mother's condition and explaining to him that she is not in a life-threatening situation, just the baby was too big, thereby, causing damages to the mother's womb and uterus in the process of giving birth.
Alexei feeling reassured about his wife's safety, feeling relaxed slightly, took a proper look at his son whom he was embracing.
Noticing Jimmy's most prominent features which were his 2 small horns just above his brows; his head full of blond hair and his rather huge size of 105 cm for a demi-human baby.
After giving Jimmy back to the midwife for further care, Alexei went ahead with the paperwork and named the baby Jimmy Doni, as their prior arrangement with his wife, Ava Doni.
After some time the doctor came out to give him the good news that Ava is doing alright at the moment ad her situation is stable, however, Ava and the baby should be in the clinic for the next few days since the doctors here never had an experience with an oni giving birth and there might be some complication that they might not know be aware of afterwards.
After talking with the doctor and knowing that both his wife and son were all right, exhaustion and hunger brutally attacked Alexie, so, he decided to check on his wife and newborn after he got some rest and food.
