Chapter 2: Chapter2

#Chapter2

The screams lasted about two hours; then they finally stopped.

The painful screams were replaced with the most beautiful howl I had ever heard.

The melody of this wolfs howl had me standing by my window. However this howl had shifted something inside of my body, something I had never felt before. I felt a pull, and I also felt a tug at my mind. I refuse to let this tug through my barrier. It was like pebbles being chunked at thin rubber. The rubber has only stretched, nor will I ever let it be more then a stretch.

My door open revealing my parents.

I gasped when I saw them dads cloths were shredded, and mom had a cloth wrapped around her entire arm. They looked tiered, but when they saw me watching them they gave me a small smile.

They moved over to where I was and sat on my bed.

Ja

/"His wolf is beautiful./" My mom whispered.

/"Yes, it was more painful for him then most./" dad shook his head frowning.

/"Why?/" I asked /"I mean why did Asher yell 'finish it' when he was shifting?/" I still wanted my answer.

/"Honey sometimes our wolfs control our body's and what we say./" my mom smiled and patted the spot on the bed beside her. /"and?/" I asked sitting on the spot she tapped.

/"Well we don't know what his wolf was trying to say./" She shrugged.

/"Only Asher knows./"

/"Oh/" was my response.

/"Go to bed sweet heart./" Both my mom and dad kissed my forehead then walked out of the room closing the door on the way out.

I laid down closing my eyes.

The dark eventually took over causing me to drift asleep.

The sun shone through the window, I moaned and sat up rubbing my temples.

The little nagging and stretching of something on my mind didn't leave. Matter of fact it was 1,000 times worse.

I dragged myself out of my bed and trudged down stairs. I turned the corner. Asher was sitting at the table eating breakfast. He was only in basket ball shorts. I'm guessing he just got back.

I went to the Medicine cabinet and grabbed some Advil.

I went back into the kitchen and grabbed a glass of orange juice. I sat next to Asher his body immediately tensed.

/"Do you smell that?/" He asked smelling the air, as he picked up his own orange juice and started to chug it.

/"Smell what?/" I asked sniffing the air.

It happened all at once. first there was a loud shatter as Asher dropped his glass, and second he started choking.

/"Asher are you ok?!/" I asked jumping out of my seat to pat his back, but he jumped out of his seat before I could help him.

/"No,/" he yelled /"what?!/" He jumped out of his seat grabbing his hair. /" no no no no no!/" He yelled and ran out of the room.

I felt the tug stretch even harder.

/"Oh right!/" I sigh and take the Advil. I knew I had a weird brother!

/"April./" My mom called from upstairs.

/"Yes mam?/" I called back drinking the rest of my juice.

/"Get ready for school./" She said.

/"Ok./" I rolled my eyes.

As quickly as I could I got ready. and skipped down the stairs.

/"Asher can you drive your sister to school with you?/" My dad asked.

Im guessing Asher was back from umm his mental break down?

/"No./" Asher growled there was a loud bang.

/"What's wrong with you?!/" My dad growled at my brother.

/"What's wrong with me?/" Asher yelled back. /"What's wrong with me, is that you expect me to tend to April every time you can't!/" He growled back.

/"She's your sister!/" Another loud crash.

I know I'm supposed to feel 'pain' that my brother is arguing with my dad about me. And believe me I do it's there! It's just that my love of a good fight was just umm even more there? Yeah.

'Way to go April your grammar is spot on.' I rolled my eyes at my OWN comment. And Asher's the one with mental problems?

I was so caught up in my own mind war when I heard Asher's response.

/"No she's not!/" Asher yelled back.

He did not just say that! He might be agitated or whatever started this, but he will not disown me!

Shits going down!

I stomped into the kitchen glaring at Asher as I do so.

I stomped all the way over to the key rack grabbed his Mazdas keys and chunked them at his head.

/"I will be in the car/" I hiss

/"YOUR CAR/"

Then I proudly marched towards the door and jerked it open.

When I got to his car I realized it was locked... Damn my luck.

I did the only reasonable thing and climbed on top of his car and crossed my legs. I didn't even care if I dented it with my weight.

/"Whatever!/" Asher snapped at dad stepping out the door; fuming as he walked down the steps.

/"What's going o-/" he stopped talking to himself when he saw me.

/"April?/" He asked sorrow and pain flashed through his eyes.

/"The cars locked./" I mumble.

/"Listen I'm sorry!/" He started

/"Save it./" I mumbled.

He squinted... he looked so cute when he does that.

'You didn't' I mentally slapped myself.

/"Let's just go./" I mumble again. Scrambling of the cars roof.

As soon as we started driving he tried to talk. I of corse being the Bitch that I am clicked the radio on turning it up to 35.

He growled and slammed on the breaks making me jerk forward.

He turned the radio off, then started driving again.

/"Like I was saying-/" he started to say.

I quickly straightened myself out and snapped the radio on.

Off

On

Off

On

Off, On

I quickly snapped the radio back off. wait...

/"Damn it!/" I yelled

/"Great thanks for turning off the radio./" He laughed to himself.

/"Shut up and just say what you need to say./" I hiss. /"that way I can stop being your sister./" I added.

He went silent.

The stretching and tugging became even more annoying. Then we pulled into the school.

/"April-/"

/"Never mind./" I smirked and jumped out of the car. I ran straight into the school not even looking both ways before crossing the parking lot! HAHA just kidding! I totally looked.

/"April!/" I heard Asher growl slamming his car door. I still didn't stop, I ran straight to my locker then to 1st period, where he can't get me.
