Chapter 4: Signing Session

Sitting on the autograph booth chair, supporting his chin and watching Sonoko's communications everywhere, Asahi shook his head helplessly.

Obviously he could do it, but it's a shame that, since the last time he was half an hour late, Sonoko isn't going to let him do it alone.

"Obviously, I haven't even had breakfast."

Taking advantage of the last 10 minutes of rest, he decided to find someone to ask if there was any food here.

Otherwise, the signing will last for several hours, how can it stand up.

As soon as he stood up, Asahi was surprised by the bento that was placed on the table.

"I didn't have breakfast, so I know that." After negotiations, it was confirmed that there were no mistakes. When Sonoko returned, she took out a bento from somewhere and handed it to Asahi while squinting: "Here."

Asahi's eyes lit up, and he hugged her without hesitation: "I love you very much, Sonoko, you are really the person who understands me the most!"

Two seconds later, he felt a tightness in his chest for a moment and then releasing it, he took two steps back and blinked recklessly.

"I really lost to you, eat quickly, and work hard after eating."

Sonoko showed the majesty of an editor. Even though Asahi was a genius author in front of her, she still couldn't feel respect or distance.

From time to time, she turned a blind eye to being taken advantage of intentionally or unintentionally.

After devouring the exquisite bento, Asahi believes the cook must have put their heart into it. After all, the presentation of the food is so beautiful.

Putting away a clean bento box for her, Sonoko looked at the staff at the bookstore door and made an OK sign, which meant the book signing session could begin.

Receiving a response, the bookstore staff nodded and opened the front door.

Outside book fans poured in and filled the front of the bookstore in an instant. Fortunately, bookstores have relatively large spaces. For this signing event, many decorations were made, some unnecessary decorations were removed, and a small number of book fans could barely be accommodated. Then someone greeted them and told them to line up in a calm and orderly manner.

Soon, as a long line formed, Asahi welcomed fans to his first book.

"Hello Hasegawa Sensei, I am a fan of your book. I've loved her since your first work, the love between Asuna and Kirito in [Sword Art Online], you're such a genius!"

The thin man was very excited, his speech was a little disorganized, and the sentences praising him one after another made the battle-tested Asahi quite unbearable.

"Thank you, I will continue to work hard. Subsequent work is already in the midst of an amazing idea. I believe I will meet you soon. Please support me when the time comes."

Showing a calm and warm smile, Asahi signed his name on the recently purchased [Sword Art Online] piece.

In order to write, he practiced calligraphy for a long time.

As for the pen name, since he was too lazy to think about it, he just deleted the first name and replaced it with the last name.

Sending the first book fan, whose mood is still not calm, the second is a high school girl with a few freckles on her face, and she looks cute.

Compared to just now, she was trying her best to display the reserved demeanor that a girl should have, but her excited eyes completely exposed her.

"Hasegawa Sensei, could… could you take a picture with me? I know this request is too much, but please! This is my request for the rest of my life!"

The high school girl bowed very sincerely, her body bent 90 degrees, and her fists clenched with trembling showing how disturbed she was inside.

"It does not matter." Asahi smiled slightly: "It is also the creator's responsibility to fulfill the small wish of the beautiful book fan."

Wait wait wait!

Hasegawa Sensei actually agreed!

The high school girl looked flustered by the sudden happiness, she was completely stunned for a moment, and stuttered: "Really... is that really possible?"

"Since the request was made, I think you should bring a camera or cell phone."

Asahi used his actions to show the authenticity of his words, he stood up and came to the girl's side in a very gentle tone, and coupled with his perfect appearance, he looked like most girls' dream lover.

"Yes, I have it!" The girl finally noticed that she had quickly taken out her cell phone from her skirt pocket, and carefully stood ten centimeters away from Asahi.

Seeing this, Asahi took the initiative to approach the girl: "It doesn't matter if you get closer."

Very happy!

The high school girl was so happy she was about to shed tears, her brain was in a stupor, and after taking a group photo, she almost forgot to pick up the signed book.

"I'm so jealous! She actually took a photo with Hasegawa Sensei!"

"And these two are so close!"

"If I could take a photo with Hasegawa-sensei, I'll decide not to wash today!"

"That's great, I want too!!!"

The girls in the back row muttered enviously.

"Tsk tsk, Asahi is still popular with girls as usual."

Sonoko, who was on the sidelines to prevent accidents, said wryly: "Seeing the girl's excitement now, it's okay to ask for too much. How, Asahi, are you tempted? Should I secretly ask for his contact information?"

Asahi was speechless, in his previous life, this must have been an old driver.

He couldn't ignore it at this time, so he kept signing books for fans.

Even though the girls were eager to ask for a group photo, Asahi most likely wouldn't refuse, but most of them didn't have the balls.

If you hesitate, you will lose. This is indeed true.

Sending out one book fan after another, until his wrists ached, Asahi found that the number of people lining up had not changed much. He checked his watch for the past three hours, and it was at most an hour before the signing session was due to end.

In order not to disappoint the book fans and return home, he endured his fatigue and forced himself to continue signing.

Due to good concealment, book fans did not discover that Asahi was not in good shape.

All of this fell into Sonoko's eyes, and she felt a little depressed, but it worked, and there was nothing she could do.

When the autograph session is over, give him a shoulder and wrist massage.

Thinking so in her heart, Sonoko looked at the long line on tiptoe, but she could barely see the end of it, and it was estimated that it would take less than an hour to finish.

There's nothing Sonoko can do. If Asahi couldn't finish it, she could only feel sorry for the book fans who came here specially.
