Just when I felt like I've read enough for the night,I pulled my bag pack sitting some inches away from me on a broken table and replace my books back in it.
I decided to get some air before going to bed,it was so freezing out here, but that's just how I love it.Actually I was wishing I could just freeze to death so I can end this miserable life of mine.
I took a deep sharp breath and exhale some minutes later. l look around in the darkness i could feel the presence of a second party in the thick darkness,I sat still hoping to hear any leg or body movement, but I could was the chirping sound of insects and hooting of owls.
Again I had this feeling like I was being watched,I heard a fast movement behind me I turned sharply but it was too dark to see anything. Suddenly a wave of air hit me, like something or someone just brushed pass me.
I stood there not scared,I said this to myself 'whatever is out here in the dark has to kill me now because I'm ready to end this miserable life of mine,I didn't fidget for a moment .
Just then I felt a circling movement around me just like a whirlwind or maybe a tornado.I could feel myself levitating, what ever wants to kill me has to be fast with it , life has been fair to me in all ways. I was the least loved child in the family, they call me Bad luck. of course I knew I was a bad luck because bad things always happens wherever in present at.
According to my mom our house caught up in a fire on my christening day. Also I tried drowning my niece on her 5th birthday party, twice I tried stabbing my dad with a knife when he was asleep, though I don't remember doing any of this,they were not intentional act .
One day after the family lunch I went out to play,I went into the garden. I don't know how long I've been here but I knew it most have been too much because my mom came out looking for me.
I was squatting in the middle of the garden,

Just before I could say anything she hit me across the face, I guess I was 15 then.

So evil she said and knelt down beside the dead butterflies

I pinned my lips together and sobbed quietly.
Even when she took me inside and was spanking me,I placed my palm over my mouth to avoid screaming out. I was deprived of dinner that day and I was locked up in my room while the rest of the family went for pinic.
She was fed up with my evil character and sent me off to go and stay with my grandma in a remote village.

Even my teacher despised a lot and wouldn't have a second thought before punishing me even when I'm not at fault. most of my school hours was spent in the detention room,to cut the long story short my life is really a mess, how to end this miserable life of mine was the only thought running through my mind at this moment.
The void darkness was beginning to take form and shape,it felt like a piece of my soul was taken out of me, suddenly I heard my name.
Reyes! the voice sounds feeble and crackling
I looked around in the dark trying to track where the voice was coming from.

With the aid of her Stick she bent down and tapped me awake, I jerk awake and was looking around like a lost toddler at recess.
I look up at my grandma's old and frail face,her eyes beaming with love and concern.
what are you doing out here? it very cold here she said in her shaky old voice
So it was all a dream, I heaved a sigh.
with her small frail hands she held unto my wrist and try to pull me up urging me to go inside, I smiled at her fruitless effort.
I wrapped my hands around her waist and assisted her in going inside the house.
How did she Come out of the house with her injury.Some days ago while in the farm her leg got cut in a trap and she was severely injured.
Providing food was now my responsibility and it hasn't been easy combining my studies with making lemon juice which I have to sell in the market every evening.
After taking her to bed ,I retired to my room but it wasn't easy for me to fall asleep,I kept on turning and tossing on the bed.
Soon it was morning and I had to leave the bed feeling sleep deprived.
I started with making the breakfast, bathing my grandma and dressing up her would,to preparing for school. I promised myself to stay out of trouble as I was still feeling sore all over but that was impossible from Mason side,he is a big bully and most feared by the students and even teachers.
After school period,on my way out of the class,he pushed me to the ground laughing wildy. I sighed , stood up and walked out on him ignoring him and his troubles.
