Chapter 172: Chapter 172 - Tragic - Mission - Call

After Axel inspected and thought about the butterfly for some time, he checked his clock and nodded.

"So, two weeks later, the mission with the Ging will be started."

"Right now, my physical power, nen amount, and all are enough to take on many things without any problem."

"But I still believe I have some problems regarding first-hand knowledge."

"But this kind of knowledge and experience can only be gained through the mission. I do not think watching some movies will change any of that."

Axel put his right hand on his head as he thought. He looked a little bit ashamed, but in the end, it is what it is.

After taking a deep breath, he nodded and then started walking out of the wetlands.

He saw most of the things he wanted to see and had fun. It is better for him to go back to Yorktown and wait there for the mission.

-

Ekail let out a cold breath and wiped away the sweat on his head.

"I should train more and more!"

Ekail stood alone in the gym, surrounded by the sounds of weights clanging and the grunts of other gymgoers. He felt a sense of emptiness and weakness inside him, as if he were lacking something essential.

He couldn't help but think of Axel. Axel had impressed him with his strength and skill, and Ekail had been left feeling inferior in comparison.

As he punched the heavy bag, he imagined Axel's face in front of him. He gritted his teeth and increased the force of his blows, determined to reach Axel's level one day.

"I'll get there," he muttered to himself. "I'll train harder and become stronger than him."

The sound of his fists hitting the bag echoed through the gym as Ekail continued to push himself to his limits.

Ekail had nothing against Axel at all. It can be said that he uses him to increase his willpower and determination. In the mind of Ekail, he believed that every man has a target, and every hunter has a target that they want to hunt.

It does not necessarily mean a bad thing. Ekail wants to reach and surpass the power of Axel, despite knowing that it would be too hard at this point.

In the end, the feeling, the will, and the desire give him enough fuel to push himself upwards and create more of a power understanding.

"I have no other choice."

Ekail took a deep breath, finished his training for physical matters, and slowly went to the bathroom to wash and then go train himself in his nen and nen abilities.

-

"So, this is it."

An old man with a gray beard and a harsh face took the card given to him by a man in sunglasses.

The man in sunglasses nodded and explained.

"3 billion Jenny, five houses, three whole apartments, and one billion Jenny worth of bonds that pay dividends every quarter—these are the assets left to you by your daughter Ely, Mister Gold."

The old man was the father of Ely. After Ely died, all of her net worth and things were calculated, and according to her wishes, they were transferred to Marvi Gold, her father.

After Marvi took the money from Ely, he was now a strong billionaire, but he could not be happy at all.

His daughter died in the end.

Axel rubbed his eyes as he woke up to the sound of his ringing phone. He groggily answered the call, still trying to clear his head.

"Hello?" Axel spoke, his voice heavy with sleep.

"Hey, it's Ging. I was wondering if you're ready for the mission we discussed last time." Ging's voice came through the phone, clear and crisp.

Axel's eyes widened as he remembered their conversation. "Yeah, I'm ready. When does it start?"

"In a week," Ging replied. "Be sure to prepare yourself well. It won't be an easy mission."

Axel hung up the phone and sat on his bed, staring at the wall in deep thought. He knew the mission was important, but his mind couldn't help but drift towards his love mark.

"The number reached 50 thousand," he thought to himself. "As the number goes up, the increase will be much greater." I need to focus on my training and become stronger."

After the call ended and Axel woke up, he took a deep breath and thought.

"Let's get up."

Axel stood up and stretched, ready to start his day and continue his training. He knew that the mission with Ging was going to be tough.

"But completing a mission or a hunt with Ging is something to be proud of, I believe."

Axel was not wrong. Despite the fact that Ging is not liked, he is still respected and a zodiac himself.

Finishing a mission with a zodiac like Ging has both personal and social benefits for the individual.

In Axel's case, he will be getting experience as well as recognition as a hunter.

Axel looked out of the window, taking in the stunning view of Yorktown.

The bustling metropolis was alive with activity even in the early hours of the morning, with the sounds of traffic and people mingling together in a symphony of noise. The sun was just starting to rise over the horizon, casting a warm glow over the cityscape.

After taking a refreshing shower, Axel ordered a sumptuous breakfast from room service, indulging in some fresh fruit, pastries, and coffee. He savored every bite, feeling the nourishing energy filling his body.

Feeling recharged and energized, Axel decided to head out and explore the city. He meandered through the crowded streets, taking in the sights and sounds of the bustling marketplaces, street vendors, and shops. The people of Yorknew City were a diverse mix of cultures and ethnicities, and Axel enjoyed observing their behaviors and mannerisms.

As he walked, he caught snippets of conversations and laughter, the clinking of glasses in the local bars, and the rumble of buses and cars on the busy streets. The air was thick with the aroma of fresh food cooking on the grills, spices wafting from open windows, and the musky scent of coffee brewing in the cafes.

Axel eventually found himself at a cozy bar, where he settled in at the counter and ordered a drink. He watched the people around him, observing their interactions and movements. He noted the ease with which they chatted and laughed with one another, admiring the sense of community that existed in this bustling city.

As he finished his drink, Axel smiled to himself, feeling content and at peace.
