Chapter 14: Jake Did A Great Job

Nathan looked at the message he had received from his crush who he had just proposed to yesterday.
Looking at the message a cold light flashed in his eyes and he gave out a cruel smile while driving his Porsche Carrera Coupe.
He remembers what humiliation he had to suffer in his past life because of this girl.
He proposed her out of pure love by making the best preparations he could ever make only to get friendzoned by her.
The next day which should be today she sent the same message and asked him to meet her there.
He was very excited to meet her and foolishly thought that she would accept his feelings.
He went there only to discover she already has a boyfriend, Jake Maverick who belonged to a stronger family than he was and humiliated him in front of everyone.
Jake and his friend beat him badly and dumped his injured body in the trash.
After the incident with his family Jake purposely made it hard for Nathan to get a good job and made him stay at the bottom of the social ladder.
Looking at the message he already knows what's going to happen over there but then also he would go.
'This time it won't be me, it will you who will be humiliated Jake'
After being reborn his body has gotten enhanced in a way.
His strength is off the charts and so does his IQ and learning capacity maybe some of the benefits of being reborn but he is sure that he can take up on Jake and his bullies by himself.

Nathan arrived at the place they were supposed to meet.
It was a small warehouse near the antique street, one of the most lively areas of the district.
This Warehouse belongs to the Maverick Family and was currently not in use and was empty.
As Nathan walked in he felt something strange.
His heart started to palpitate really fast and his intuition told him to run back, he also felt something wrong but didn't care much about it.
He already knew about the future what could go wrong in this little confrontation with Jake.
He didn't care about his intuition and decided to go against it.
'Thud''Thud'
As he walked to the centre of the warehouse like in his previous life he heard faint sounds of someone coming his way.
No it wasn't someone it was multiple people coming from all directions encircling him.
The lights of the warehouse lighted up and his eyes went wide as he saw himself surrounded by ten or so burly men who were holding steel pipes as his weapons.
"So you finally came"
"Jake"
Nathan gritted his teeth as he saw the figure of Jake calmly walking towards him with an arrogant smirk on his face.
"My friends were getting bored of waiting for you here"
"What is this Jake"
"What is this? You dared to propose to my girlfriend in front of everyone do you really think I would just let you go trash"
It would be a lie to say that Nathan isn't surprised in his previous life he was beaten by Jake and his other friends but this time he didn't expect that Jake would bring real goons to beat him up.
'This isn't how it was supposed to go'
Nathan thought trying to deny the reality.
In his past life it wasn't life this.
'Wait is this butterfly effect?'
'No this is too big for a butterfly effect'
"So this is the kid boss wants us to beat?"
"He looks weak."
"Whatever just beat him and let's go back"
'No this isn't good! I need to escape from here'
His physique has improved a lot and he is confident enough to take on a few high school kids but this.
They are a literal fucking goons.
Looking at them who were twice his size and were packed with muscles Nathan gulped in fear.
'No I have to get out of here'
"I proposed to her so what? If you are a real man just fight me fair and scared or is your Maverick family full of cowards."
"That was a nice try but sorry it won't work against me"
"Guys beat the shit out of it"
"Aye Aye Sir"
"Sorry kid you see we got orders to beat you"
"Ey stop talking and beat the kid fast I can't wait to go back and enjoy the fucking booze tonight"
The goons slowly walked towards Nathan who was sweating bullets looking at this.
Gathering enough courage he chooses to fight them and create an opportunity to escape from here.
'Eh why can't I move'
Nathan didn't know why but he felt as if he was frozen in one spot.
He could feel everything around him but couldn't move a single bit.
'Eh why?'
Under his confused and wronged eyes he saw the metal club of one of the goons coming towards his face while all he could do was watch the club getting near his face helplessly.
"Aaargh"
Nathan's cries of help and pain rang out throughout the warehouse as Jake simply stood there on the side with a smirk on his face smoking expensive cigars.
Finally Nathan lost his consciousness and the goons stopped beating him more fearing the man would die if they did anything further.
Nathan's body was covered in his blood and had his all four limbs broken up.
He suffered from serious injuries and was in a bad condition now.
His face was completely disfigured and was covered in bruises.
"Dump the bastards body in the garbage dump in front of the warehouse and also break his car"
"Yes Boss"
Jake finally gave his order and left the warehouse leaving all cleaning work for the goons he hired to do.
While he was driving his car he received a message from Damon's number.
<Good Job>
With a smile on his face he drove to his girlfriend's house.
