Chapter 2: Ch 2: Doppleganger
In Hell's Kitchen, there is one place that catches the eyes of everyone. It's Fisk Tower the HQ of Fisk Industries. It was a big tower where you can see the whole Hell's Kitchen from above it. Like humans seeing an ant colony.
And the reason why Kingpin built this tower was similar to this. He wanted to remind himself that he climbed from the bottom of this tower to its top. From just a street kid who is made fun of by his peers to the man who sits on the throne of New York. And now Kingpin aka Wilson Fisk was sitting in his office while smoking his favorite brand of cigarette. He was looking down on Hell's Kitchen from his window.
Suddenly someone knocks on his office door. Hearing this Wilson continued smoking his cigarette quietly for another minute or two. And after that cigarette finally finished. He throws it into his ashtray and said: "Come in."
The door finally opens and reveals the person who comes in was Laran or fake Laran to be specific. The moment he comes into the office he half kneels in front of Kingpin. "Shliker I heard you have a little trouble with Laperson?"
Laurel Laperson was a small gang boss that originally Laran took pity on and took under his wing. At first, he was a loyal guy who follows Laran wherever he goes like a dog and does what he said but suddenly doesn't know when he starts changing. He becomes more and more out of control so which caused Laran to take action.
Which is also the beginning of their relationship breakdown. But even though their relationship was becoming more and more separated they still remember one gang. And still worked together on things that related to the fate of their gang. But it was still just a few hours ago.
Original Laran got a call from Laurel and said that he found the HQ of their rival gang called Die Verrückten Hunde some German dudes who come to the wrong place. So to raid that place he comes with his guys but Laurel said he couldn't come but will send his guys and he send his guys.
And you know what happened next right? Intelligence turns out fake and Laurel's guys backstabbed him and killed most of his guys. And in the end, Laran is killed by a fake one.
"Don't worry boss man I had a little talk with him and he won't bother me again." Fake Laran said with a confident smile on his face. Kingpin didn't take it much as far as he can remember Laran was like this.
"So be it. Do you remember what I said to you a few days ago?" Kingpin took out documents from his drawer and throws them toward fake Laran. Laran catches them and said: "It was about ambushing Daredevil."
"You are correct. That goddamn bastard come out from nowhere and thought he can destroy my empire. And you know what's even funnier? He succeeded in some way. These bastards start thinking about challenging me. And become more and more disobedient." Kingpin punches his desk in anger which resulted in the poor thing to divided into two pieces.
Then Kingpin took a deep breath and calms himself a little bit. He get up from his seat and comes in front of the window and said: "Tell me Shliker do you know why I especially call you here not others?"
"No sir." Fake Laran said while looking at Kingpin. But if you observe him a little closer you can see his eyes aren't too friendly.
"It's because you are an obedient dog that knows your place. So, I am giving you chance to climb even higher. Go and bring me the head of that bastard Daredevil in exchange you will reach a peak that is higher than ever before." Kingpin then signaled him to go away. Fake Laran nods his head obediently and heads towards the door but he didn't go there to get out of the room. He locks the door and looked at Kingpin who wasn't looking at him. Then his eyes with pink color.
"Argh!" And the next moment Kingpin kneels on the floor in pain. He holds his head in pain while screaming in agony. Seeing this fake Laran quickly runs towards him and does a dropkick. Kingpin who was distracted because of the pain Kingpin took full blow without any defense.
Kick send him into the window aka curtain wall. The wall fills with cracks even though its glass is specially made bulletproof glass it couldn't hold the power of fake Laran in the attack. Fake Laran then lifts Kingpin from his head then starts banging his head on the wall. Cracks start spreading even more.
At this rate another few hits later glass wall might break completely. Kingpin who was supering from immense headache and physical pain grits his teeth and catches fake Laran's hand and throws him to the other side of the room.
But fake Laran seems to have seen this coming even though he was thrown by Kingpin he skillfully lands on his feet and took attack position in instant and rushed towards Kingpin. Kingpin gets up from the floor slowly to only tackled by fake Laran and hits the curtain wall.
Wall finally couldn't hold one and breaks down. Which resulted in both Kingpin and fake Laran falling. But last moment fake Laran holds on from the end of the floor.
And Kingpin wasn't outdone either he catches fake Laran's leg and start punching the curtain wall of the floor below. Cracks start to appear on it and soon it breaks and creates a hole for him to enter. Seeing this fake Laran tries to kick him off but to no avail. Kingpin gets inside the floor below and drags fake Laran inside too. Then he starts smashing him from side to side as some green giant does to a puny god.
But fake Laran seems didn't flinch he was waiting right time. Then he thought about it's the moment he shot Kingpin in the knee with his hidden pistol and kicks on him in the face. Also using his face platform to jump into the air and make a distance between themselves. Fake Laran knows it's useless to shoot Kingpin in the stomach or chest because the amount of his muscle and the hardness of it normal bullets could hardly reach his organs as for his skull that's even more troublesome in his life Kingpin mastered many martial arts and among them not very well known but very effective few martial arts. Among them, the martial art called hammer shark style was martial art specially designed to train the human skull to its fullest potential. Training progress was hard and hellish but the result was incredible. His skull becomes hard enough to even withstand a bullet.
Fake Laran is a person with a certain psychic ability he could read Kingpin's memories and know the most effective way to shoot Kingpin's limbs. The reason he didn't do it in the first place was well he thought he could just push him from the top of the building.
"Cough, I'm not gonna lie you played me good. I never thought you will be the one who betray me." Then Kingpin rushes towards fake Laran while gritting his teeth. But how could he overpower fake Laran who has superhuman strength that could rival him with an injured leg? Fake Laran lifts him from the ground and slams him with a judo slam.
Then he aimed his pistol at Kingpin's other three limbs and shot them. Kingpin groaned in pain but even so, he forced his arm to move and catches fake Laran's leg then twists it with all his might. Fake Laran's leg made a loud cracking sound.
Kingpin smiled at this but he didn't see any emotion in fake Laran's face. He just holds Kingpin's two hands and strengthens his grip it made cracking sounds. Kingpin grits his teeth and tried to pull back his arm but to no avail.
Then he was greeted with a kick from fake Laran. The kick sends him a few meters away. He also saw even incredible thing leg he twisted was already started healing and its progress was visible to the eyes maybe it will soon fully recover.
"You know mister Fisk mister Laran was loyal to you till his last moments. He never hesitated to follow your orders." Then fake Laran starts changing. His face, skin, mouth, and clothes start twisting and turning into a tall black humanoid creature with pinkish-red eyes. It doesn't have any facial fractures, no hair, or even a mouth.
"What kind of god's failure are you?" Kingpin asked while looking at the horrible creature in front of him.
"I'm no failure mister Fisk I'm one of his greatest creations. You can rest assured mister Fisk because after your death I will take your place. Legend of Kingpin will continue in my hand." Then the alien creature starts slowly changes into Kingpin's image.
Seeing this Kingpin let out a small mocking laugh and slowly gets up even though he was bleeding even though he was feeling immense physical pain he still gets up from the floor: "Hehe, do you think you can replace me that easily?"
Suddenly the creature felt something is wrong so it tries to run behind something but it was too late. Something hits it in the ankle and made it fall on the floor. It tries to get up but Kingpin jumps on it.
*Bone Crack Sound.*
"Good job Bullseye," Kingpin said while lifting his thumbs in answer Bullseye points a laser at the creature's head. If we follow this laser on the top of the building that was about two kilometers away from Fisk Tower Bullseye was sitting with his sniper rifle.
Because the creature is psychic power range it couldn't find Bullseye who was ambushing itself. The reason Kingpin knows Bullseye will come here is because of the sensors he placed on the wall. If someone breaks the wall without deactivating sensors it sends a signal to his people saying that someone raided HQ.
Kingpin doesn't know other guys but he knows Bullseye will come here as fast as he could and he did. But as an experienced assassin he didn't rush into the tower immediately he stopped at the top of the building that little far away from it and checked the situation. Then after confirming his target he shot it.
"Do you think you can kill me that easily?" Kingpin then starts punching the creature. But suddenly something strange happened lights turn off and the curtains start closing. Darkness covers the room no it covered the whole building.
*Swish.*
Kingpin heard something move at high speed and before he could react someone punched him in the face. This punch was so strong it made him pass through at least three walls before falling on the floor and rolling a few times.
He felt like the world is spinning and his body is losing its power. A few seconds later he finally passes away.

In the unnamed dark alley of Queens two figures could be seen one is a creature just now kneeling in front of the man in a black hood.
"I failed you, my lord. But if you give me one more chance. I will-" but before he could finish his sentence man gives a stop signal with his hand.
"You don't need to worry about it. I am not angry about your failure. The truth is I was already assuming this ending. After all, Kingpin is no mere mortal. He can survive in this world of superpowers for so long means he has something special too. The reason why I send you this is just to test him. Now I want you to hide till I give you another order." The man in the black hood said. His voice is cold and emotionless like a machine. The creature nodded its head and morphed into an image of a middle-aged man and leaves the alleyway.
"Hmm, well D level is D level after all. Nothing to wonder about it lost against Kingpin." Then the man in the black hood looked at his system interface.

Summary: Genetically bred shapeshifters from an unknown origin. It's still a question whether this race originated from Alber-Toril due to their being scattered on other planets too. They are beings that are gifted with psychic magic and shapeshifting ability from birth. They are famous for being one of the most perfect assassins in the world.
Evaluation: Mystique? She is just a newborn compared to Doppelgängers.]
"Or maybe I just used it wrongly. We all see about it soon." Then he disappeared into the darkness.
