Chapter 6: Ch 6: The Coming Of Storm
In the forest, three figures are running for their lives. This three are Stick, Jacques Duchamps, and Quinn. The trio of The Chaste that Jeremy caught and released in the forest. Now they are in the forest for almost 7 hours and still couldn't find the town. Now they are doesn't even know whether they are running to the north. They are just running for their lives.
"Hey, Jacques are you sure this is the north?" Quinn asked while running last in the trio.
"How the hell do I know? Do I look like a compass to you?" Jacques answers Quinn with an angry voice. Three of them almost running none stop for fast few hours. Almost without no rest reason is it was first because grizzly bear they encountered. It took a while for three of them to kill it. Then another thing come and it was a way bigger threat than just a bear.
This creature was way stronger than the bear and way too fast and agile for the handle. To escape from it Stick sacrificed his right arm. Now they are still running from it on the way they meet a few animals like deer or fox but they don't have time to waste on them.
"If you two keep arguing it might catch up with us soon. So stop talking and focus on your surroundings. We don't know when it come." Stick suddenly heard a strange noise. It sounds like the hissing of a snake but also some sort of roar and most importantly it comes from above them. "Or where it comes."
The trio looked up and saw Calvin it fell from above fells on Quinn's face and wraps his whole face. Seeing this Stick kicks toward Calvin but Calvin blocks his attack with one tentacle and broke his leg. Jacques took a big stone from the ground and hits Calvin with all his might but has no avail. As result, he got bitch slap from Calvin.
Jacques flies into the air and lands about a few meters away. Which also resulted in one of his teeth breaking. Quinn tried to pull Calvin off his head but after a few seconds, he stop struggling. Seeing this Stick looked at Jacques and said: "Go! I try my best to buy you time."
"What about you?" Jacques asked for an answer Stick looked at him then smiled and said: "I'm an old man who is about to greet his fate. Go and find the town and tell Stone about what happened here."
Seeing that Stick was accepting his fate and won't run anymore Jacques could only run alone for his life. Quinn is dead for sure while Stick will try his best to win time for him. And he also saw Calvin break Stick's leg with that kind of injury he can't run away from Calvin.
So for sake of Chaste and delivering news to Stone he runs for another unknown direction again. He could only hope that he will find the town before killed by Calvin.

About a few kilometers away from the factory the group of teenage mutants was hiding. They were looking at the supposed abandoned factory only guarded by fully armed hundreds of soldiers. Even a few military helicopters are flying around.
"Are you sure it's here?" Iceman Bobby said while looking at soldiers from distance with binoculars. He might be not the smartest one of his peers but he was sure it was common sense that anything related to the military isn't safe.
"Looks like the legend that we are chasing is turned out to be true. Now that's interesting." Pyro next to him said while playing with his lighter.
"And really dangerous. Do you have any idea how much trouble we will in if we get caught?" Sunspot asked but for his question, Pyro just hives a mischievous smile and said: "Like you said if we get caught."
"Do you think yourself, Kurt? They are fully armed and trained soldiers Pyro. Not some random thugs we meet in the streets." Berzerker said while looking at the little military stronghold. You don't need to be a genius to guess things inside this factory is a dangerous thing. Just look at how many soldiers are there.
"I might be not Kurt but don't we have someone who is almost the same as him?" Pyro then looked at Kitty. Kitty pointed at herself and asked: "Me?"
"Yeah, of course, with your ability, we get inside the factory right under them. I mean right under them. Because we can go underground." Pyro then places his hand on Kitty's shoulder and said: "C'mon Kitty think about it. You talked about how crazy tonight will be for a whole way to coming here. What's crazier than seeing a living urban legend? Besides didn't you say it? We are future superheroes for our future we need to do something to kill that monster named Charles."
"I-I… alright. Let's do this." Kitty agreed after some thought. Seeing Kitty agree with Pyro some of the group start to hesitate but with Pyro's persuasion most of them agreed to expect Bobby and Magma.
"Then see you soon Bobby. Don't have too much fun you two." With that Pyro reaches Kitty's shoulder so do Berzerker and Sunspot. With that four Kitty, Pyro, Berzerker, and Sunspot start sucking into the ground.

While the group of teenage mutants is planning to break into highly guarded factory soldiers there wasn't idle either. The leader of the battalion guarding this factory lieutenant colonel Ronald Wolf looked at the monitor screen on his laptop and asked the man in a white coat beside him: "Are you sure this is okay? To catch this creature I sacrificed my fifty good men. And you gonna just inject some kind of anesthetic?"
"ZX-7 is no mere anesthetic lieutenant colonel Wolf. It's a special poison with the ability to kill an adult elephant in a few seconds. And for that, you only need a few milliliters. Also, it can even affect no living things like acid. But even so, it can only play the role of the anesthetic. Because of this, we aren't sure if the effect of ZX-7 is strong enough to keep this thing unconscious long enough to finish any tests." The scientist next to him said while looking at the screen without expression.
"Then if this creature adapted to your poison then does this fucking chains of yours can hold him down?" Wolf asked while pointing at thick metal chains that chained sleeping, Charles.
"I'm afraid not lieutenant colonel Wolf. If the subject wakes up now with our current firepower we can only accept our fate." The scientist then looked at his wristwatch and said: "Also please order your people to deliver the next dose of ZX-7."
"You mean these chains are for nothing but show?! And these soldiers who guard this creature are always in mortal danger?!" Wolf was angered by Scientist's words.
"This is nothing but a small risk for science lieutenant colonel Wolf. Your soldiers even we must be proud of ourselves if we die for science. If we can succeed in our research on this creature we might discover a brand new power course. Power course that is way more powerful than any fuel humanity ever discovered. If this creature wakes up and kills all of us we must proudly offer our lives for this noble purpose. Lieutenant colonel Wolf we are not risking our lives for no purpose! We are building the next stepping stone for humanity! Do you understand Lieutenant colonel Wolf?! Do you understand?!" Suddenly scientist guy lost his cool and starts talking about how noble their sacrifice is like some cult lunatic talking about his belief. And Wolf could only look at this crazy scientist with a look of little fear. After all scariest enemy is people like this scientist who are ready to die for their own beliefs.
But while they were talking they didn't notice one soldier getting into the factory while walking weirdly. Two soldiers who were guarding sleeping Charles saw this soldier and tries to stop it but before they could react fleshy tentacles suddenly comes out from his body and were fierce through their chest.
The weird soldier then reveals himself The Thing that Jeremy released a few days ago in the world. The thing walks towards sleeping Charles while muttering this: "M-my dear brother don't worry I will release you."
The Thing touches one of Charles's spider legs "Even with just a touch, I can feel immense energy inside of you. No wonder our father valued you so much. Don't worry I will soon release you from these damn humans. And then you can have a feast with them."
Then it injects something into Charles's body. "This will give you the ability to be immune to their poison. Now wake up and let's have a reunion."
Because when The Thing was released he first took control of twelve years old girl and her parents he also gained their memory. From this, he learned about family and family affection. Then it starts to develop though about Jeremy and his summons are family. And because it and other summonses are directly connected with Jeremy they can feel each other from a certain distance. It also confirms some information in its newly gained memory.
That's family members feel about each other. And so does they which means they are family. And as a their master and ruler Jeremy is their family head in other words their father. Which means his summons are The Thing's brothers and sisters.
"Don't worry father we will grow big and healthy. We will become strong and will reunite with you." While The Thing is muttering this Charles opens his eyes suddenly.
