Chapter 2: RULES
Greg slowly put his cutlery onto his plate, crossed his hands across his chest and looked Peter straight in the eye and said,
"Listen very carefully, it's just a rule, and trust me, if you don't follow it and any of the others you will regret it very dearly" As he spoke there was a darkness in his eyes and a graveness in his voice that showed that he meant every word, "Aside from being indoors by 6:30pm, there are other rules.
1: DO NOT go out into the town unless absolutely necessary and if you feel like you have a good reason, then you need to first ask for permission.
2:. You should NEVER EVER visit anyone's home in this town. Even if it starts pouring outside and you're on the road, don't stop by anyone's house or shop to wait for the rain end. You would rather walk through the rain than stop by anyone's place, the people here cannot be trusted.
Those are the only rules, Just three. DO NOT break them PLEASE."
By the time he was done, everyone was quiet and we were all wearing the same confused suspicious look on our faces but before we could say anything, Grandpa left.
