Chapter 31: Chapter 31: Flashed! Ah-Ahhhh!!!
"So how do you think they'll do?" Mina stands with her arms resting behind her head
Hitomi smiles a smile full of confidence "Hitoshi and Sato are gonna win hands down"
"Even against those two...?" Toru looks up at her from her position on Hitomi's arm, even now she's still blushing but she's determined to "protect" Hitomi!
"It may sound a bit mean but... Sato may not stand a chance but Hitoshi is able to handle this easy" 'Just don't move your arm and Toru won't let go, don't move your arm and Toru won't let go'
Stood in front of the big screen All Might raises his mic to his grin "Team I! Begin Your Infiltration! Good Luck Heros!"
They watch as Todoroki and Mineta approach the building
Mina yawns "They left the weapon on the top floor so it should be a while before anyone makes a mo-"
Everyone goes silent in shock as Todoroki rests his hand against the wall and freezes the entire building in a matter of moments! A cold air shockwave blasts through the observation room leaving everyone freezing cold and shivering
All Might shivers in the front "He Incapacitated Them Without Compromising The Weapon Or His Teammate. Take Close Note Of His Technique Students!"
"H-ha ha! S-still think-k they'll b-be fine Hi-Hitomi?" Mina hugs herself tight
"Hmmm? N-naaaah they'll be fiiiine" she giggles and smiles up at the screen while her snakes lazily sway side to side "S-super stronk"
She pulls Toru into a full on cuddle causing the invisible girl to squeak in surprise "H-Hitomi?"
"Shhhhh..." She puts a finger to Toru's lips "B-body heat to keep waaaarm heh heh... And you super hot" she hugs her and presses Toru's head into her chest
Toru blushes so much the other students can almost see the glow "W-w-whaaaat is happening...!?"
"I have no idea but I'm loving it!" Mina pulls her phone from an inside pocket in her jacket and takes a picture, the picture shows Hitomi with a dopey grin and a slightly noticeable side face imprint in her breast
"Tsu you're s-smart, any ideas? Tsu? Tsu?" She turns to see Tsu stood there snoozing... "Why are you asleep...? Ohhh!" She laughs and turns back to the Hitomi, Toru snuggle "They're hib-b-ernating!"
"B-but Hitomi's not asleep!" Toru is VERY embarrassed by this and yet... Is making no attempt to get out of Hitomi's tight embrace
"Yaaaay" she strokes Toru's hair "Washy W-Washy wiiiiins... Good boy..."
Mina and Toru both look at the big screen! "What!? Already!?"
And sure enough on the screen it shows Mineta rolling around on the floor clutching his face in pain, Todoroki stood doing nothing, Sato wrapping capture tape around Todoroki with a few pop off balls on his chest and Hitoshi sat cross legged and half frozen on top of the missile
"W-what happened!? We missed it!" Mina stomps her foot!
Momo notices and comes over, she has a blanket around her shoulders "You weren't watching?"
"Nooooo! We were distracted by Tsu and Hitomi hibernating" she gestures at Tsu and Hitomi then goes back to hugging herself "W-what happened?"
"Well" she raises a lecturing finger "First of all snakes don't hibernate they brumate which is slightly dif-"
"Move onto the recap Professor!" Mina claps "Less snake facts"
Momo soghs... Then takes a deep breath and begins "Sato boosted Hitoshi on top of the weapon then everything froze, Todoroki entered the building with Mineta behind him and went up to the weapon room where Sato's legs were entirely frozen and half of Hitoshi was as well a'top the weapon, they spoke and Todoroki froze in place, no pun intended, then Sato ate sugar and broke free of the ice, he charged Mineta and while he tried to defend himself he couldn't do much so Sato punched him in the face-"
That makes Hitomi laugh out loud!
"Ah... A-and then Sato proceeded to wrap Todoroki in capture tape" she finishes her report without taking a single pause apart from the one where Hitomi laughed
A blast of warm air ripples through the room as all the ice in the building melts
"Ribbit...?" Tsu slowly opens her eyes and yawns "How'd it go...? Who won...?"
Hitomi's snakes perk up and hiss happily before looking down curiosity at Toru
Hitomi blinks herself back to clarity, not that anyone can see that, "Hmm...?" and she then, like her snakes, looks down at the blushing Toru in her arms "Hi Toru..." She pauses then... "T-T-Toru!?" She lets her go and retreats backwards!
Mina rolls around laughing and clutching her stomach while Toru gets flustered "I-it's ok Hitomi...! It got cold a-and you started acting weird b-but it's fine!"
'W-weird...? I'm weird...?' "Sorry... Cold makes snakes all slow and mellow... So with these guys" she trails her hands through her snakes "Sharing senses and chemicals with me it makes me like that too... Sorry for being weird..."
"No no you're not weird...!" Toru goes and holds her hands "You were just cuddly" 'And cute... And soft... And warm...'
"Fascinating" Momo rubs her chin "So you yourself are warm blooded however you experience the cold blooded traits of the snakes regardless of that... Do you experience any other aspects attributed to creatures of a cold blooded nature?"
Toru squeezes her hands "It's ok Hitomi... I promise..." Hitomi remains silent to both Momo and Toru's words... And seems to be completely frozen "Hitomi...?" Nothing... "Hitomiiiiii...?"
"Uhhh... Toru? Your uh... Your cloak is..." Mina scratches the back of her head awkwardly
"My wah...?" She looks down... Revealing that in her haste to take Hitomi's hands in comfort... Her cloak has fallen open revealing what she's wearing beneath... Which is of course... absolutely nothing. Which wouldn't be a problem if she was facing anyone other than the one person who can see her... Her crush Hitomi!
She lets out a soft "Oh no..." And slowly looks back up at Hitomi revealing the green girl's heavily blushing face!
Toru slowly releases Hitomi's hands and calmly closes her cloak "If you ladies will please excuse me, I need a brief moment of privacy" she turns and casually walks away and then out the door
After a few moments Momo breathes a sigh of relief "At least she remained composed and handled it wel-"
"AHHHHHHH!!!!!! WHHHHHHY!?!?!" a certain invisible girl's voice sounds from outside along with over exaggerated mock sobbing
Mina snorts! "Y-you were saying?" She struggles to contain her laughter
Tsu meanwhile is poking Hitomi's cheek "Hitomi? Hitomi you in there? Hello?" The snakes are nuzzling against Hitomi's face trying to get her attention too
"It seems she can't handle nude girls very well" Momo giggles "She froze the same way in the changing room"
"I'm sure she'd love to handle nude girls better" Mina grins at her own joke
"Yes I'm sure she would" a joke that goes completely over Momo's head
"Soooo what was that about nude girls?" Hitoshi walks up to them
"Hitoshi! Welcome back! We broke Hitomi again" Mina pushes him towards Hitomi "Go fix"
"Uhhh... Hitomi?" He waves a hand in front of her face yet she's unresponsive "What did you guys do to her this time?"
"We did nothing! It was a Toru relented incident! I'm innocent you gotta believe me!" She clutches her hands together in pleading "Same as last time... Heh..."
All Might's voice suddenly sounds out from by the door "Alright Everyone! We're Moving To The Next Area!" He marches in place and mimes playing a flute "C'mon C'mon Let's Go!"
Hitomi stands straight "You heard the guy C'mon let's go" the four around her stare at her in disbelief "What...? He's got a loud voice ok...?"
She leads the chuckling group outside where Toru is waiting for them "Hey guys... Sorry for walking off... I just needed a minute..."
Momo pats her shoulder "It's perfectly understandable Toru..."
Hitomi takes Toru to the side and bows her head "I'm sorry for my reaction... It wasn't appropriate to stare at your wardrobe malfunction..."
"O-oh no... I mean... Nobody could expect you not to stare really right...? What is it that Mina says? I take it as a compliment?" she giggles "It's ok, really" 'Not like I mind... It was just the environment...'
Hitoshi clears his throat "You guys we gotta follow the group" Mina, Tsu, Momo, Toru and Hitomi glare at him! "It's true... Don't shoot the messenger"
"Fine fine fine" Hitomi chuckles and pats his shoulder "Let's go guys"
"Who d'you think is gonna be fighting next?" Mina starts boxing the air "I wanna get my hands dirty! Fight crime! Or do crime!"
"I wanna fight too!" Toru clenches her fists "I wanna prove myself!"
"Well" Hitoshi holds up four fingers "There's only four left s it's quite possible one of you will be next" they enter the next observation room to see All Might holding the fresh picks from the Hero and Villain boxes "Or both, both of you could be next, good luck you two"
Mina and Toru look at each other for a moment before...
"You're going down Pinky!" She points in Mina's face
"Bring it on! I'll kick your invisi-butt!" She points in Toru's face
While Hitomi and Tsu keep the fired up girls separated a small distance away Aoyama and Tokoyami look at their soon to be team mates and then look at each other
"I bid thee good luck friend, may the best team claw their way to victory" Tokoyami folds his arms and narrows his bird eyes
"As I do for you Mon Ami, don't let my dazzle blind you as I win" he blows a kiss to a hand mirror he's suddenly holding
"Hm... Do not let over confidence be your downfall Aoyama" he stoically turns away with his cloak billowing behind him
"Believe what you will bit nobody can outshine moi" he turns away with his cape fluttering dazzlingly behind him
Hitoshi stares at this display between the boys and the squabbling between the girls and sighs... 'Is it actually me that's the strange one for being more normal...?'
