Chapter 14: Chapter 14 Christoff vs Magno the Cruel

The party the consist of two Swordsman and two Crusaders headed to the bloodbath that caused by an elite monster named Magno the Cruel.

Before reaching the destination both Crusaders cast Sacred Shield to protect the pair of Swordsman.

"This is terrible." says by Valerie while covering her mouth in shock by the scenery they are currently looking at.

Magno the Cruel can't be seen anywhere only corpse of both kobolds and humans left. There are more casualty before Cleo and Leah left which means those who tried to run failed at their attempt to save themselves.

Christoff snaps and slap both of his cheeks to help him focus and decided to follow the trail of decapitated heads, sever limbs and blood assuming it'll lead them to the perpetrator.

Moments passed by the trail stops and at the end they found the elite monster Magno the Cruel stomping at the head of a lifeless body.

The party's eye widened in unison by the sight of the execution their witnessing. Cleo and Leah vomits at the sight which their holding since they met this monster an hour ago.

Christoff launch forward to the monster while Valerie scan the are for any survivor and prepares herself to cast Sacred Shield.

*Clang*

Magno the Cruel sensed the killing intent of Christoff and proceed to block his sword with his own. Both of them exchange blows for a moment before Christoff step backward.

"Holy Sword!" shouted by Christoff cutting the off-hand of the monster.

"GRAWWWWWRRRRRR!"

Enraged by its sever limb Magno the Cruel charge at Christoff like a raging bull. The Crusader then side step to dodge the monster and prepare for an attack.

"Shield Bash!" shouted by Christoff this time he aim for the head which result into the skull like helmet monster shattering and concave his head. Christoff then use another Holy Sword to finish off the monster.

Magno the Cruel which instill fear at the Novices was slain by Christoff without breaking a sweat. This is expected since the Lv difference is high. Magno even though its an elite monster is only Lv. 30 while Christoff a Crusader which is one of the next path for Swordsman is at least Lv. 50.

While Christoff and Magno the Cruel were fighting, Valerie manage to gather the remaining survivor so they can carefully probe what lead to the unfortunate event while also considering their traumatic experience.

"You're all safe now young ones." says by Valerie with an assuring tone while casting Sacred Shield at them to provide more assurance.

"Thank you Cleo and Leah we will take it from here. I suggest you both rest for today." Valerie added while shifting her gaze to the pair of red heads.

The pair just nods. Cleo and Leah was feeling grateful for the second time to these two Crusader. First they helped them easily advance their job and secondly they at least help lift some of the burdens in their mind from witnessing the bloodbath.

The pair then give their heartfelt gratitude to Valerie and Christoff before returning to the Inn their currently staying at.
