Chapter 29: Reason why Hallow mountain will never fall

While the chaos continued, Sol leisurely rode towards the northern gate. His eyes seemed oddly calm for a human who came into a world of supernatural beings and is forced to do battle for the sake of his survival. He watched the rampaging nine-tailed fox with a wicked smile while his conversations with Natasha ran through his mind.

"Truly knowledge is power" Sol sighed as he looked towards the mighty nine-tailed fox with pity. If she knew a powerless hellhound descendant like him would be the one to ruin her plans she wouldn't believe it.

....

As his journey continued he began seeing the expected results. The Gray barrier looking over the academy of Guardians began trembling, phasing in and out of existence.

As more fox spirits died the burden on the living ones doubled or even tripled.

"If my calculations are correct, there will be no one capable of standing against me, when I arrive!"

Flap!

An aloof voice rang as a belong hair kid in orange robes walked forward. Ahead of him was the mighty northern gate but right in front of the northern gates were numerous unconscious fox spirits. The burden was too much a secret another part of the person fell.

With a glance, Sol could only count about fifteen making him frown. Considering the numbers of these fox spirits he found it rather shocking that they would be this little. He already estimated the possible numbers of fox spirits located at each gate and the number of fox spirits found in the territories of the four families. In truth, they weren't up to a hundred and that's strange considering what he knew about fox spirits.

While they may be one of the weakest spiritual beings you can come across under the beings under the demon race, they had the numbers advantage.

Their numbers are terribly small!

Something is killing them!

They wouldn't use such drastic measures If their lives were on the line!

But what could be the problem?

Who could scare them this bad?

Would more of this happen in the future?

Pa!

Hak!

As Sol pondered on those words while flames surged in his hands. He knew these fox spirits were all trying to survive unfortunately, he is their enemy. Thinking about it now, he remembered this world follows the laws of the jungle.

The strongest will survive and the rest will die.

"Please! Please…. We just want to live" A voice rang from below as a slender arm held Sol's leg.

His emotionless eyes fell on the barely conscious fox spirit with eyes drenched in years, looking toward Sol.

"W-we just want to live. Please" She muttered weakly

Hmph!

Sol kicked her away without any form of emotion in his eyes. If the situation was reversed and she met him on the floor, would she show him mercy?

In war, there must be casualties… it's just that simple!

Brrrr!

Fierce flames rose into the sky as a lone figure could be seen walking into the mighty gates of the academy

Ding!

Boom!

Boom!

Boom!

Explosions rocked the center of the academy of Guardians but a lone figure walked towards the nine-tailed fox spirit alone.

Dressed in completely black tight-fit attire with a black Cape strapped across his shoulders Tulic Vlad walked towards the nine-tailed fox with an indifferent look on his face.

"Many thanks to whoever managed to shatter the barrier from outside. You will surely be rewarded in due time. For now, I alone will deal with this beast" Tulic Vlad walked at a slow yet steady pace.

His voice was firm and his eyes cold. As if in response to his words the several figures still hidden within the flames didn't move. They just stood and watched Tulic walk towards the mighty beast.

They are the pillars of the Hallow mountain. The mightiest figures in the realm! If the fox spirits ever considered they had a chance of winning they were badly mistaken.

They lost to the sixth tribe chieftain not because they were weak, but because the chieftain was abnormally strong.

Tulic wore a bored look as he walked toward the nine-tailed fox. Under the numerous rubbles were bodies belonging to those who held this beast back while they were trapped.

"You will not survive this encounter," Tulic said coldly as his eyes turned blood red

Roar!

The massive fox spirit the size of a Castel swung its mighty tailed at Tulic with its full power. Everything may have gone wrong and her subordinates dead but the fox queen could still maintain this form for a while so why not use the power and kill these old bastards who are responsible for the death of her people?

Swoosh!

The tail flew towards Tulic with terrifying power and speed but Tulic remained unfazed.

Hak!

Buzz!

If Sol was here he would be stunned to see a family leader use the most basic technique that even Cecile Vlad knew about yet it wasn't this effective because the difference between Tulic and his son Cecile using the same technique was worlds apart!

Tulic's body began crystallizing as he casually raised his hand to block the mighty attack, thrown by him by the enemy;

Boom!

A fierce shockwave erupted which brought down buildings and structures but Tulic's figure remained unmoving even though the enemy's size compared to him was like a man getting compared to a mountain, yet he couldn't be moved.

"In this world, there are things that will never change. Hallow mountain is one of them. Come a thousand millenniums or a thousand century. Anyone who seats on the throne of leadership is always the best. You will never be able to break Hallow mountain" Tulic Vlad said in a dry voice lacking any form of excitement in this life.

Dan: Pull!

Buzz!

Suddenly blood began surging toward the lone figure from all sides.
