Chapter 48: EP 46 - A MISTAKE.
John yawned as he flopped around on his bed.
After a while , he decided to get up and start the day Since sleep had decided to eloped him.
He got ready for school and went down. He was greeted by an old man in his late sixties with a blank expression on his face . His name was Williams Catharld :-and he was the personal butler for the Alec family. The Alec were the number one on the list of the richest families in the Southport. Duncan Alec and his Wife , Leyla Alec were the newest power couple and they were worth billions. they were billionaires
At least that was what the Newspapers said.
And John Alec , the son of Duncan Alec, the British business magnate, who dealt in Oil and all its components ...
Was the Heir to this entire fortune.
All Duncan and Leyla ever thought about was the amount of money they made each day. All the numbers bustling around in their heads that they never had any time for their own son and only child.
"Good day to you, Master John." Williams greeted.
Many times John had told him to stop with all the formalities and call him John but Williams had always refused; insisting that was how it was done in the old Welsh Country.
"Good morning Williams." John responded.
"How did you fare last night?" The old man asked as he pointed to the dining table where John breakfast of toasted bread and jam with an omlet and a hot cup of tea was waiting.
"The usual. Didn't get much sleep though." John spoke between mouthfuls. "Where are my Parents?" He inquired.
" Master John , Your father has gone to visit one of his Oil companies for inspection while Mrs Leyla went out shopping for what she intends to wear to the movie Premiere ."
John set down his teacup and Williams asked "What is wrong Master John? Is the tea not to your liking? Should I get more sugar or..."
"No." John choked back tears. "They couldn't even checking on me or wishing me a good morning before leaving and they claim that am their son." John banged his closed fist on the table.
He had lost his appetite.
Grabbing the key to his newly bought Buggati La Voiture Noire which he has just required meaning that he had almost maxed out his credit card.
"Master John, you know your parents care deeply about you."The Butler said concerned.
John sighed and turned back. "I highly doubt that, William . And don't forget to remind father that i maxed out my Credit Card. Or maybe I'll tell him myself."
John hopped in his Car and drove off to school.

The bell rung.
School was over for the Students of Birchwood High...
For that day.
The members of the ADVENTURERS SOCIETY stood near the parking lot admiring John new car.
"Is that..." Obi gasped.
John nodded.
"The hottest car of the century.The renowned Buggati La Voiture Noire .Costing about $18.699 million. Its horsepower unmatched and can hit from 0 to 60 in a matter of seconds and the best part it is Voice controlled."Obi drooled.
"Great , now Obi has gone full Car mode." Su ling sighed.
"Nice Car." Skylar said feeling the wheel . "I love the color. Its classy."
Eva ran her eyes over the Buggati, like duh...
"Its just a Car." She told John.
But secretly , Eva admired it. The car was gorgeous.
But she was never going to tell him that.
But a part of her felt like he was just being wasteful. It wasn't like he didn't have other expensive Cars. She understood that the guy had money and lots of it but...
This was plain Stupidity.
"Why such an amount of money for one Car? That could have funded a missionaries journey to Saudi Arabia for years!" Eva said turning to John .
"Hold it right there, girl!" John stopped her. "Look who's talking ! I wasn't the one that bought a customized bracelet for $700,000!"
Eva gasped. "You said you'd never use that against me."
"You started it." John fired back.
"Calm down guys." Sky held Eva's arm.
Su ling stepped in between the bickering couple. "Guys no need to compete. You're both Rich and Stupid only that John is more Stupid."
"Aren't you equally rich?"Obi asked Su ling.
"No I'm not . I am RichER! There is a difference." Su ling retorted.
Obi nodded absent mindedly. He was too busy romancing the car.
"I'm gonna marry you!" He whispered and Eva shook her head.
Men and their Cars!
"So are you meeting up later for the game?! Su ling asked.
"Nah, I'm occupied throughout the day." Obi shrugged.
"Sorry have work to do.'Sky replied
John shook his head.
"And I better get home and Call Blake." Eva grinned and Walked to her car and John rolled his eyes. "Its her 'Boyfriend'. Typical example of fine airs and little sense."
Su ling chuckled lightly.
"I better get going my mami and papi must be waiting by now." Skylar waved at Eva.
He faced Sky."Isn't your house close by on Willows street ? I could drop you off...
Sky was flustered and nodded coyly.
They both got in his Car and sped off leaving Su ling and Obi.
"We better be going then." Obi jumped in and Su ling started her Ignition. She blasted the music to the largest volume and put on some shades. Obi nodded to the beat and they drove off.

John got a call at 9pm.
His parents weren't around.
They usually came closer to 12a.m.
He rubbed his sleepy eyes and put his phone to his ear.
After some seconds , The phone dropped to the floor and he Took to running.
Some hours later John had picked up Eva from one of the insignificant bars around and surprisingly she was reeked of alcohol. She lay her head on the window glass and looked at the bright street Lights.
They were both sitting inside the Buggati she said that was 'A waste of money'.
"Um ...Should I take you home?" He asked nervously.
Eva adjusted her glasses. "No. I can't deal with my mom right now."
"So...where should we go?" John said.
"Wherever you like." She shrugged. John decided taking her back to his home.
It was a huge and beautiful mansion. It had a balcony with a wonderful view of an indoor pool and all the works.
"No matter how many times I come here, the decor of your home always fascinates me." Eva commented.
"Thanks but it gets lonely sometimes." John replied.
Why the hell would he say that!
They went in and Eva really got a good look at the interiors of the house.
The interior designer did a wonderful job with the colors and the materials.It was all so calm and not too flashy as one would have expected it to be.
She went straight to the bar shelf and brought down a huge bottle of wine.
"Lets have a party, eh?"
He took her up to his room so that they could watch some movies and was about to go in when Williams called him back. "Master John , is it really a good idea for you and that girl to be alone in your room?"
John removed his old hand of his arm. "That girl is Eva and she a close friend of mine. What's the worst that could happen?"He smiled reassuringly and shut the door.
Williams sighed and shook his head .
Young People of these days...
Always so impulsive!
John switched on his Stuart Hughes Prestige HD tv and found a movie for them to watch. It was about to teenagers, a boy and a girl that were meant for each other and their parents tried to break them up and whatnot.Eva paid close attention taking sips of the wine and handed it over to John who was so kinda nervous at this close contact with Eva and drank gulps of it.
Suddenly at the middle of the film, Eva broke down in tears and fell into John's arms as they were on his bed.
"What's wrong?" He asked genuinely worried.
"Its Blake." She sobbed.
Blake Griffin was her newest boyfriend, With his blond hair , chucked jaw and muscular arms ...
John hated the guy.
"What did he do!"John said in between clenched teeth. "If he broke up with you, I swear to God , I'll ..."
"I broke up with him."Eva cried once more.
Well he didn't expect that but...
Hurray!!!!!
Good Riddance.
Eva drank some more wine and proceeded to tell him about her relationship with Blake. She just called him tonight and ended it over the phone
"He doesn't get me like you do, John.It was over before I even ended it.Eva blurted and looked at the half empty bottle in her hand and tapped John.
"John, I think I'm drunk." She shook her head, sorrowful.
"No you're not and I'm sober."John laughed.
Eva rested her head on her friend's shoulder. "You really understand me. Not only my good parts but my flaws and you don't call me out on them."though you can be a dickhead sometimes.She watched the movie end with the hero dying protecting his one true Love and they rolled the Credits and She sighed. "Sometimes I wish that we weren't this close friends so that we could just date each other. It would have been perfect but it make everything so weird."Eva groaned and out of the Blue she gave him a tight hug.
"But you'll always be my friend, won't you John?"She said in a cracked and teary voice.
John smiled over her shoulder. "Of course, Eva."
Eva removed his hands from his neck and was about to look away in sudden shyness when John caught her Neck and pushed his head towards her...
And they kissed .
He pushed her on the bed and his hands rushed over her perfectly shaped body.
Eva felt feverish as he lavished kisses from her lips to her neck.
A soft wind blew through the opened window as John thought he was in heaven. Eva pulled out his shirt from his trousers and began unbuttoning his shirt as their mouth meshed.
She whimpered in pleasure and her body ached for more.John hands went underneath her T-shirt as it groped his way around her back and finally reached her bra and he began unclasp it.
He did it with ease as if it wasn't new to him , Eva thought.
Just too expertly.
How Many other girls had he done it with in this very room?
Oh God , she did feel stupid. He just wanted her physically and to add her to his trophies. Eva felt an intense antipathy cut through her. She had a calculative mind and thats what threw off most of her relationships .
Men wanted girls they could control.
"Get off me , you d***K" She shouted and pushed John off. She looked at John lying on the bed and realized he had loosened his belt and anger returned to her.
"What's wrong now?! We're both drunk!" John slurred and advanced towards her. "Lets make this mistake then blame it on the alcohol and well deal with it all tomorrow. Eva, Don't be a bore."
Eva heart became hardened . How many other ladies had he told not to be a bore?
She put her hair in place and Picked up her jacket off the floor . "No John.I am not one of those girls that you can sleep with and dump the next day. And I don't want to make our friendship any thing more than it is. I'm leaving." She remarked unsympathetically.
John stood up and held her arm calmly . "You can't go home all by yourself at this time of night. Let me get my k...'
Eva pulled her arm away . "I'll call an Uber."
She walked out and slammed the door.
John ran a hand through his hair groaned .
Ugh!!
Eva was so hard to deal with .Any other girl would have given in to him easily but she didn't and that's why he loved her.
And John would be damned , if he let Eva slip through his fingers.
