Chapter 59: EP 57 - THE NIGHT HOWLER .
They were moving silently through the dark woods .
No one dared utter a sound.
They made their way through the thick branches surrounding them with only the Silvery moon illuminating their silhouettes in the gloomy night.
Percival accidentally stepped in a branch that immediately sounded like a gunshot. This startling sound made him stumble forward as an innate reaction.
The Moon had hidden behind The clouds and a considerable number of Howls were heard in the distance. Levi looked up at the moon and gripped his Blade.
He stopped abruptly , halting the others in their tracks.
"What's wrong ?" Conrad whispered.
"Smart." Kyra smirked. "Its surrounded us." She declared out of the blue, pulling out her bow and arrow and aiming at the darkness.
"Roll"

She let go off the arrows and it flew into the darkness.
It fell to the ground.
Kyra summoned them back to her. The edges where bloody ...
But no Body.
"We are at a disadvantage. This thing lives in the shadows. We need some light."
Levi spoke.
Avyanna nodded and crossed her hands over each other.
"CLOUDS PART , MOON RETREAT ...BRING FORTH THE SUN...I BEQUEAT...
At this point, Avyanna collapsed on the ground panting heavily. Percival put his hand around her to help her up to Levi's chagrin.
Her eyes were teary and she seemed worn out. Dark pouches surrounded under her eyes and her body was weak.
"Are you alright?' Percival asked compassionately.
Avyanna shook her head.
"Of course she isn't! You need rest." Levi held her arm roughly.
"I'm fine ." She snatched her hand away from him.
"Let me handle this. "Percival smiled sweetly.
He drew out his LongSword and pointed it towards the Sky. A Glowing light enveloped his being as his Cross luminated the heavens.
The clouds parted unveiled the Brightly lit moon and Conrad Tapped Kyra on her shoulder.
"Guys...
A huge monster with yellow eyes , dark skin , long brown - grey hair and a hunched stance.
'A Fenfir"...Avyanna whispered as Levi grabbed her hand .
"Run!!!" Kyra yelled.
The five individuals scattered as angry Howls rented the air as branches crashed down making terrible noises in the dark. Screams where heard from far corners, probably the Royal search parties running into a not so nice beast.
Avyanna's heart was pounding inside of her chest. She fell to the ground. The Howling was growing near.
"I can't keep up."
Levi helped her up. "Just hold on. A few more...
"I can't!" Avyanna yelled as she wobbled on her feet and she fell against him. "
I'll try to hold it off. "
Levi gripped her hand firmly and she looked up at him and moved away to face the monster. "Save yourself Levi . I can be the bait and buy you guys some time to escape and regroup. " Avyanna made to move away but he refused to let go.
"No way. Its just like you said. Leave no man behind." He grinned and swept her up in his arms. Avyanna now so weak put her hand around his neck and clung to him tightly.
" I want you to know this Avyanna ..." Levi looked down at the girl in his arms. "I will never let you go or let anything bad happen to you. Even if it cost me my own life " He swore to her.
Avyanna was about to speak but a crashing noise was heard in the bush around them. Conrad jumped in front of them, startling Avyanna. He glanced at Levi and whined. '"I'm tired too why won't you carry me!!!!!!"
Levi huffed but The monster was already close on their heels. Conrad had departed in order to save his life leaving them behind. it was now just Levi and Avyanna ...
They kept running until they reached the edge of a cliff and The beast growled behind them menacingly .....
