Chapter 61: EP 59 - THE HANGING MEN
They all settled around in Obi's room. Ada was with with two of her friends and Tasha was going to work. She had told Obi to be in charge and ordered him to clean up after himself too.
When his mother had gone out the front door , Ada folded her arms. "What's in it for me?"
Obi raised an eyebrow . "What do you mean?"
"I know you're inviting your friends over Obi , but the question is : what's in it for me?" She sat on the sofa crosslegged.
"But your friends are coming over too !" Obi retorted.
"Number one : I do not like Janet Napolitano and Carlisle Richards . Janet's mom is friend's with mom so I have to babysit her and Carlisle is a tag along. " Ada interrupted him.
"Believe me , I'd rather spend all day playing video games, And secondly : If you don't want me to tell on you , You'd better offer me something I can't refuse. "
Obi taped his feet on the floor. Ada was pretty crafty for the age of twelve. Always putting him in tight spots. "Mom won't believe you.After all I am in charge!"
Ada rounded him with her hands behind her back making a Tsking sound. "O, Obi ...are you really in charge?"
Even Obi began to doubt himself. "I am!"
"What if mom left me home so I could watch YOU?. She'd know you get up to all sorts of mischief and I was to report back to her. But lets say , Obi finds out and beats poor Ada up ..."
Obi knew where she was headed. He sighed.
"You'll take my dessert for a week."
Ada nodded. "Try again."
"You'll have full access to my phone." Obi winced.
"I check your phone even without your permission , Please ..."
Obi moved angrily towards her. "Why would you..."
The door bell rang.
His friends were here.
"Alright. I'll give you my dessert and I'll do all your chores for one day." He groaned. Ada looked at him and nod her head in dismissal.
"Give me another offer I can't really refuse."
Obi was scratching his head and thinking of what to offer her baby sister that now seemed more like a boss to him.
"Ok, lets say laundry and house chores for three days , you know how I hate house chores " Obi said with pleading in his voice.
Ada eyes lit up with interest. " Make it a month and your dessert."
"Lets make it three days " Obi tried to reason with Ada.
The door bell rang again and Ada stood by the door. "Or you can tell your friends bye - bye."
Obi sighed.
"Only a week and no dessert . Take it or leave it." He extended his hand.
His little sister smiled and shook his hand. "This is one of the many reasons I love you."
Ada opened the door . "Hi. Nice to see you guys again." Ada hugged the girls.
Su ling hugged her. " Hey , Ada. Where's Obi?"
"He's inside." Ada replied.
Sky smiled. " She's so cute!!!"
"Come in." Ada gestured. John handed over to her a brand new Xbox. She squealed in delight and ran upstairs.
The Five seated themselves on the floor as Obi brought the die and in the soonest, they began to play.

Levi dropped Avyanna on the ground. He observe the surroundings and they were finally out of the woods but there was another hindrance.
They had run right up to the edge of a cliff. The monster tore through the woods and gave a frightful growl.
The two were literally between a Devil and the deep blue sea. Levi drew out his Blade.
John rolled.
"5"
He treaded quickly and exerted great power into his Strike.
"Thunder Strike!!!"
The Beast jumped back and used its great claws to swipe at Levi. This resulted in three claw marks being registered on his Chest.
Levi moved backwards and grinned psychotically as he felt a thin stream of blood run down the side of his mouth.
He spat it out.
He hadn't had a fearsome opponent like this for some time.
John looked at his Health sheet. Levi was running pretty low.
Overall Health : 62 / 100.
"Okay. Attack a little bit more cautiously this time." John said and rolled.

Levi regained his balance and charged once more. He threw one dagger quickly which then divided into an infinity . The Werewolf turned and caught all weapons in it side not doing one damage. Using it strong tail, It smashed Levi on the ground and ran to sink its teeth into his leg. Its great claws were pressed into his elbow and Levi's arm was dislocated . Levi bore the agony and using his right hand thrust his Sabre through the monster's arm with which he was pinned down.
It whimpered in pain and Levi got up dragging his bleeding leg along . He threw his Sabre into the trees and assisted Avyanna in standing.
"I can do it. A simple Spell...." She tried to say.
"No!!! We can't beat this. I'm injured and you're weak." He went to the edge of the cliff and looked down.
'29 ft."
The beast had recovered and snarled at its attacker. Levi grabbed Avyanna's Waist and ...
Jumped.
The beast sniffed around the cliff and having no trace of their scent left.
Levi held on to a tiny slender iron string attached to the Sabre he had previously thrown into the trees. It was securely hanging between the branches . The string was cutting into his flesh but Levi gripped it even harder and refused to let go of Avyanna .
"Its gone. Climb up." He ordered .
Avyanna as stubborn as usual refused.
"You are bleeding Levi. " She touched the cut on his head .
He pushed her on up. "Go, I'll be right after you." He reassured.
Avyanna nodded and started pulling herself upwards. After successfully reaching the top , she beckoned on him.
Voice were heard in the woods .
It was the others.
"Come on Levi. I am hearing the others." Levi stretched out his hand and Avyanna was about to reach for it when the Ledge began to break apart.
CRACK!!!
The ledge broke off and Avyanna gripped his hand tighter.
"Let go !"
Avyanna was determined. "No."
Using his injured arm , he pryed off her fingers one after the other. Reaching the last one , Avyanna shook her head.
"No" She said in a pleading voice.
He removed the last finger and began falling and falling...
To eternal death.
