Chapter 31: Vol 1 Epilogue: To Aeternum

-M29. 671. Terra. Imperial Palace-

The Emperor of Mankind sits on his Golden Throne. The artifact he has spent so much time integrating with his Throne has finally reached compatibility with his design. He remembers when he pulled the artifact from its original place. It was one of the most thrilling experiences in his immortal life.

The heart of abomination, Lothern, was the source of Eldar's depravity as it became the rift of the fourth to be born. With the help of Adeptus Logos and his own psychic power, humanity managed to destroy the miasma of corruption from spreading across the entire Materium. Humanity managed to destroy it with a great price to pay, yet, the price seemingly was worth considering what they have achieved and claimed.

The universe was saved, and seemingly limitless priceless Aeldari's artifacts. But those were not only the treasures they had found. Many have been kept secret by his own organizations or with the help of Malcador. The reason is quite simple. The artifacts that they kept secure originated from the First Era.

The First Era was an era where the first-generation Eldars, Orks, and aliens named Necrons waged war on each other as both of their masters played a game of war that no one could imagine.

Those artifacts bear unimaginable power of destruction and creation. Some of them fall into Adeptus Logos' jurisdiction, and the rest is locked in the Dark Cell of Terra. Yet, Revelation has taken one out of its lock to serve a greater purpose for humanity.

It is a soul engine directly connected to the Golden Throne and the entire Webway. It is mainly used to manipulate the structure of the Webway and expand it, but it still possesses one more utility. When the engine connected to the relic he had installed way prior, the engine of destiny, it would create a machine capable of weaving the entire concept of space, time, and destiny.

The machine shall become one of his tools for humanity's ascension. Furthermore, he has assigned the Seven Legions to begin the next phase of his plan.

Revelation rose from his Throne, head pointing upward. "Alexander. Call Malcador, Valdor, and Ollanius to the throne room."

"As you wish, milord." The AI replies politely.

Revelation closes his eyes as his soul streams across the Skein. The overlapping destinies that made up the Skein have been his tool since the dawn of his birth. The peace of mankind is not eternal, as the age of endless war shall come not long after the next phase of the Golden Path.

He needed to move as fast as he could. However, he wouldn't be fast enough to accurately catch up with the incoming darkness. That was only a thought of a month ago. Now it is different.

The appearance of the Gate and the alternate reality beyond it has changed Anathema's entire plan. There is no doubt it was an Old One's technology. Thus, the world of Falmart must hide a particular purpose. On closer inspection, Falmart is in conjunction with many Skein-tunnel, proving the existence of a complex Webway nexus in that reality.

"They have arrived, Milord," Alexander says, using his psychic power to communicate directly with Revelation's soul.

The Emperor returns to his body, opening his eyes as sight returns to him. There are four men before him. Three of them are on their knees except for one person who only bows his body slightly.

"Milord," They say in unison.

"I gathered you here to discuss our next preparations," The Emperor said to them in words full of authority.

"But why only us, Milord?" Ollanius inquires, staring deep into his liege's eyes. "Why not gather the entire Golden Order?"

"Two of you are my executioners, and Malcador is the Lord of Imperial Laxius Ordo. I need you all to perform the duty I will give you respectively." He simply tells them with a neutral face. He raises his hand, light engulfing Anathema's palm as it shines through each of his servant's souls.

They were unspoken commands that directly burned a deep mark in their souls. It leaves them with nearly a literal wound in their essences.

It makes Ollanius wince while Malcador and Valdor tighten their grip on their holdings.

"Are you certain about this, Your Majesty?" Malcador couldn't hide his concern and fear. Despite his wisdom and perpetual hood, the ancient psyker cannot begin to imagine the consequence if he fails this duty, as the burden is gargantuan for even him to endure.

"This needs to be done, Malcador. The endless war is coming. We must prepare for it, ignoring any cost that will slow us down." He did not give any of them room to argue further.

"If that was your wish. Then let it be," Malcador bows deeply. Even though he has mastered any diplomatic crafts since he was born, the mask is still not perfect enough to hide fear from his eyes.

Valdor did not budge, still kneeling with eyes closed. His nature as a Custodian prevents him from reacting as the concept of loyalty itself has been imbued in Valdor's own soul. He would be a liar if he didn't feel anything with this new duty and burden. The spear he is currently holding is nearly shattered if not for his self-control.

Ollanius is the only person not fully affected by Revelation's new plan. His nature as a Perpetual has given him enough experience to witness the universe's worst nightmare.

Despite that fact, the plan itself is beyond pain and sacrifice. A face of a monster and a savior are needed for this duty. Ollanius clenches his palm, drawing air to fill his lungs in order to calm his nerve.

"It shall be done, Milord," Ollanius says to his oldest friend with a bitter dryness in his mouth.

"Your will is my order, Milord," Unlike the other two, Valdor says his words with a determination that is expected from a Custodian. Though, the sign of fear still lingers deep in his eyes.

"I trust you all, my loyal friends." The face of the Emperor himself is unreadable as he buries all of his emotions to convince this very moment. "For the first step of my plan. I shall wake them from their slumber."

They know what their liege means by that statement. The Emperor must expand his Anathematic power deeper into the Warp to begin their next phase. It will need more than his own power but also help from all of his aspects.

Aspects of Anathema is a term used to describe certain entities that reside in the Sea of Soul. They are born from humanity's progress as they are aspects of humanity itself. Thus, they become one with Anathematic power using an impossible technology and the might of the gargantuan willpower of the Emperor of Mankind.

The Master of Mankind returns to his Throne. The psychic power began to surge in the Imperial Palace as Alexander started his calibration with the newly modified Golden Throne.

The machines of fate and reality slowly cross the endless sea of the Warp, changing it in an impossible way. The light of Astronomicon shines brighter, awakening the rest of the Aspects of Anathema.

"Let there be light."

-M??. ???. The Warp-

The Warp. The Sea of Soul is where every possibility becomes real; even an abstract concept can be altered into something genuine.

Examples of such miracles happen with the Aspects of Anathema.

One such a being began to rise from her slumbers. Even though she was one of the creations of humanity at the dawn of the Federation, she is omnipresent, always perpetually existing across the Warp and its endless potential.

Once, she was a semi-sentient machine with the sole purpose of keeping humanity's knowledge safe in the Sea of Madness. Her role ended when Anathema revealed himself and bathed her with Anathematic power. Combined with newly acquired technologies from the Aeldari Dominion, she has become a full-sentient being in the Warp. Now she is a being who embodied the concept of knowledge and that anything will happen and has happened across infinite realities and innumerable higher dimensions across the Materium and the Skein. She is the bearer of all knowledge and becomes one of the guides of humanity's ascension by allowing humanity to access her knowledge freely.

She is Akasha, the Ultimate Ferrous Mind.

Another begins to awaken from its dormant state. It was the personification of the entire life that blooms across space and time. It was a seed that had been planted since the creation of the Seven Legions. It came from a seed gifted to Anathema by a long-dead culture.

It slowly becomes the main pillar of human life across realities. It also has taken a role in preserving the souls of every human in the Warp and creating a cycle of unification to Anathematic power. Thus, it serves as a tool for Adeptus Logos to cultivate human metaphysical prowess.

Its name is Lignum Vitae, the heart of humanity.

The last one serves as the completion of the Trinity. It was born from the collective destinies of humanity. It was neither born nor created as it manifests from the First Ideal of humanity. Yet, it is always there with all of its paradoxical nature.

It was designed by amalgamating the prowess of the technological marvel of the Adeptus Logos' Ultimate Engines. It was the machine of creation, destruction, preservation, and control. It was not a genuine entity that roams the Sea of Soul. It was a machine that had given a concept of life in its very bones. A machine that lives yet dies at the same time. Exist in the paradox of all.

Lexicon, the Deus Ex Machina.

They are three instruments essential in Revelation's plan as they are also part of Adeptus Logos' trump card against the Primordial Annihilators.

They were part of the Emperor's psychic realm and soul. His faithful servants use it to ensure humanity's ascension.

A massive wave of Anathematic power spreads across the entire Immaterium. It burns corruption from any direction, creating a vast sway of sanity and order in a chaotic sea of Primordial Annihilators.

Before the self-proclaimed masters of the Immaterium, Revelation uses his modified Golden Throne to siphon the Warp by his will. The power of the Trinity gives him a much deeper insight into the creation of his desired need.

Countless daemons perish, and countless other corrupted species in the Warp. The brass tower is crumbling by the sheer power of Anathema. The crystal labyrinth begins to crack due to the concept of order forcibly imbued. The garden burns with holy fire. The circle slowly begins to deteriorate.

Far from the reaches of the Four, another being feels tormented by Anathema's power. It roars in pain as the shockwave of its roars echoes through space and time. The Great Devour could feel a direct attack toward his own being, enduring pain that made its hunger for revenge grows. Milky Way Galaxy has been detected since they started their war and caused the Great Dragon to make a way towards it. But now, the Dragon needs to move master in order to consume whatever resides in that galaxy.

Its tendrils wrap the entire higher plane of existence, infecting it with the Dragon's hunger.

-M29. 671. Arcadia Sector. Arcadia System. Arcadia-

Valsion Gathor, Primarch of the Doom Watch Legion of the Adeptus Astartes, is in his room as data streams enter his Noosphere. Arcadia's Ferrous Mind has provided him with the latest development across the Bastion Ring around the Eye of Terror.

His transhuman mind enables him to read each document with lightning speed. Without warning, an alarm rang across the room, alerting the Astartes.

"What is the meaning of this, Atlanta?" Valsion asks the Ferrous Mind that is responsible for the entire Arcadia planet.

"We got reading about the increasing Anathematic energy across the entire Sea of Soul, my Lord Primarch." A female robotic voice says to him via telepathic connection.

The words send a revelation to the Primarch. His eyes lowered low as he steeled his mind and soul. The duty of safeguarding the Eye of Terror fell into his legion. He dedicated his entire life to preserving the innocent in humanity's essence. Now, the sacred duty has been elevated higher.

"It seems His Majesty has declared the next phase," He says solemnly.

Atlanta didn't reply for a split moment. The Ferrous Mind hummus her psychic power across the vast psychic arrays in Arcardia. The machinery begins to awake as manufactorum, and legions of war machines start to regain their life from a deep slumber.

"I understand, my Lord Primarch." The Ferrous Mind says in a low tone.

"Prepare for the worst. I am sure those never born legions shall carve for our damnation. Set the military readiness at Alpha Priorius. Be ready for blood." Valsion declares firmly. With a tap on his chest, an impossibly advanced gigantic battle armor manifests around his body.

"At once-" She cut her own sentence abruptly, pausing momentarily.

"Atlanta?" It was unusual for her to be like this unless something unexpected happened.

"I have detected level 4 never born entities across the Eye of Terror, numbering in the tens of thousands." The female Ferrous Mind tells her superior calmly.

"I hoped worse," He muses, remembering the disastrous event of the Helltide six hundred years ago. "But still, we need to stay vigilant. Be prepared for anything they throw at us. Atlanta, ready my ship."

"I heed your word, My Lord Primarch." Her last words were before the telepathic disappeared from the Primarch's mind.

The Primarch of the Doom Watch makes his way out of his room, preparing to intercept the incoming armies of darkness.

-M2. 022. Earth. United States of America_

The presidential room of the United States is bombarded by news about the Japanese Gate vibrating an hour. It violently vomits light of gold, and cracks manifest on its peerless structure.

"This was disastrous. If we lose that Gate, we also lose all their resources." President Dirret says in distress.

"Moreover, we lost all of our agents in Japan." The CIA Director, Adam Jackson, says. "But I'm sure it's due to the involvement of the third party."

"What do you mean by that, Adam?" The Vice President, Vika Monroe, asks, feeling intrigued.

"Our agents and their equipment are all gone. It was so clean and sharp. There is no trace whatsoever. Thanks to their absence in their daily report, we only know they are gone." Adam could not hold his sigh, pinching the brink of his nose.

"Did we have suspects?" Dirret narrows his eyes.

"I have one suspect, Mr. President." He replies firmly. "It would be our newest guest, the Imperium of Man."

"I can't say it was unfounded. Imperium is an expansionist nation with human supremacist ideals. I can't say more about them." Secretary of Health and Human Services says in displeasure.

"But we need to maintain our relationship with them. Their technological prowess is beyond us. If we can ensure our relationship, we may even begin cultural exchange and eventually share our technology." The Vice President objects.

"They said they want to meet up with the entire UN nations. It will be a great chance to know them further." The CIA man adds his opinion.

"Very well then. Vika, can you meet up with NATO? I want our interest to be secured as well as theirs." The President turns his face at the woman.

"Of course"

"If there is nothing else, the meeting is dismissed."
