Chapter 74: Galypso's battle
Galypso, the cute little bear with a look that didn't match his size, stood defiantly on the battlefield as the Chittauri army closed in on him.
The enemy soldiers, initially perplexed by his harmless appearance, cautiously advanced, unsure of what to expect. However, their confusion would soon give way to terror as Galypso's true power was revealed.
In a flash of blinding light, Galypso underwent a remarkable transformation. The adorable bear form melted away, replaced by a towering humanoid figure adorned in the imposing Destroyer armor.
The armor, gleaming with a menacing metallic sheen, emanated an aura of raw power and as runes floated on its surface.
As the Chittauri soldiers realized the magnitude of their mistake, Galypso's headpiece opened slowly, unleashing a devastating laser beam that tore through the enemy ranks with merciless precision. The destructive force of the laser incinerated everything in its path, reducing the Chittauri soldiers to smoldering ashes.
After the first move and feeling his strength, Galypso charged forward, his superhuman abilities turning him into an unstoppable force. With each step, the ground trembled beneath his feet, sending shockwaves rippling through the Chittauri forces. Their futile attempts to resist were met with a barrage of devastating blows from Galypso's colossal fists.
It's worth mentioning that after Galypso saw Tony's Iron man suit on television, he was very attracted by it. Thus he immediately complained to Max that the Destroyer armour wasn't very adaptable to different battles and had only high physical strength, and a laser beam as it's attack moves. Although it's insane defense and healing power made it a powerful battle machine in itself, Galypso still wanted to get Tony's armour.
After he repeatedly bugged him for it, Max had no choice but to ask Raven to go steal one from Tony's lab. And although she brought back an old model without the arc reactor only, it was enough for Galypso. After he studied it himself and understood thoroughly, Galypso absorbed it using his Osmosian ability. Not to mention he also absorbed a few weapons from his own collection. Now his destroyer armour also had other attack methods and a built in AI advance system thanks to this.
Back to the battlefield, as Galypso laid waste to the Chittauri army, his armor's advanced systems detected incoming attacks. Responding swiftly, the armor's high-tech weaponry sprang into action. Electromagnetic waves surged from Galypso's outstretched hands, neutralizing the Chittauri's energy-based weaponry and rendering their defenses useless. Meanwhile, machine guns concealed within the armor's forearm compartments unleashed a relentless hail of bullets upon the remaining Chittauri troops. The sheer volume of fire tore through their ranks, cutting down soldier after soldier as Galypso moved with unparalleled agility.
But Galypso was not just a formidable physical force; he possessed potent magical and defensive capabilities as well. As the Chittauri launched a counter attack, Galypso's powerful defense showed it's value in that it deflected the enemy's attacks with ease. His enhanced healing abilities rapidly repaired any damage inflicted upon him, rendering him virtually invulnerable.
The Chittauri, now thoroughly overwhelmed by Galypso's onslaught, attempted a desperate retreat. However, their escape was short-lived as Galypso's high-tech arsenal adapted to the situation. Deploying miniaturized rockets from his back, he launched them with pinpoint accuracy, obliterating the fleeing Chittauri soldiers and leaving no chance for survival.
But just as he was gaining the upper hand as Galypso soared through the sky, his enhanced senses allowed him to spot the approaching Leviathans from a distance. The massive creatures loomed above, their enormous size and ferocity intimidating to most, but not to Galypso.
"Well, I think I have to deal with these things first. "
Galypso murmured as he pushed the ground with his feet and jumped towards them in the sky and also activated his launchers in mid air , thanks to Iron man's suit.
With a burst of energy, Galypso propelled himself towards the nearest Leviathan, his metallic form cutting through the air with incredible speed. As he neared the colossal creature, Galypso extended his arm, summoning a powerful energy blade from his armor. The blade crackled with electricity, ready to strike.
With a resounding clash, Galypso's blade met the scaly hide of the Leviathan, sending sparks flying. The force of the impact reverberated through Galypso's armored body, but he held his ground.
Using his immense strength, he pushed back against the creature, slowly driving his blade deeper into its flesh.
As Galypso fought the Leviathan, his advanced AI systems analyzed the creature's weak points. With each strike, he aimed for vulnerable spots, causing the Leviathan to roar in pain. Galypso's tactical prowess combined with his newfound weaponry allowed him to outmaneuver the beast and exploit its weaknesses.
He maneuvered around the creature's massive frame, evading its swipes and tail strikes with remarkable agility. Galypso's armor, now integrated with Tony Stark's technology, provided him with enhanced reflexes and predictive algorithms, enabling him to anticipate the Leviathan's movements and the ability to fly.
Sensing an opportunity, Galypso unleashed a barrage of powerful energy blasts from his palm cannons and his characteristic red laser beam, targeting the Leviathan's weakened areas. The concentrated assault inflicted considerable damage, causing the creature to stagger and emit a thunderous roar.
Galypso pressed on, relentless in his determination to bring down the formidable adversary.
As the battle raged on, Galypso's advanced sensors detected a surge of energy building within the Leviathan.
Realizing the impending danger, he swiftly activated his defensive systems and crossed his massive hands in front of his body. The Leviathan unleashed a devastating energy blast, but Galypso's armour absorbed the impact, protecting him from harm.
Taking advantage of the Leviathan's momentary vulnerability, Galypso charged forward, propelling himself with incredible force. He channeled his energy into a powerful punch, aiming for the creature's exposed weak spot. The impact reverberated through the Leviathan's body, causing it to stagger backward.
Seizing the opportunity, Galypso launched himself onto the Leviathan's back, using his immense strength to cling onto the creature's scaly surface. With precise movements, he aimed his laser beam at the Leviathan's vulnerable neck and unleashed a devastating barrage of energy blasts. The concentrated assault severed the Leviathan's connection to the Chittauri, causing it to crash down in a massive explosion.
Afterwards Galypso turned his attention towards the other Leviathan and a battle followed suit.
Finally the defeat of the Leviathans sent shockwaves through the remaining Chittauri forces. Witnessing the power and determination of Galypso, the enemy soldiers faltered, their morale shattered.
Galypso naturally used his momentum and once again dived down into the battlefield.
People all over the world also cheared repeatedly for him.
Meanwhile Tony Stark who was watching all this in the SHIELD hellicarrier was momentary stunned.
"Are bears so fierce these days ? Bear in an armor? How about I ask Pepper to get a few bears after all this is over? "
Tony said with a comical face.
