Chapter 3: steps to Fuinjutsu, shock, and suspicions
Shikari was bored.
he didn't go to school since it was a weekend.
but he had already done all his training and had nothing to do.
Shikari looked at his talents again.

"I am hungry, what should I eat?" Shikari wondered, his stomach grumbling.
it was a school break, and he forgot to prepare his bento box.
"Hey, there is a shop that sells ramen down the street. how about you go there after school." a blonde boy said shyly.
Shikari looked at the one and only naruto, surprised at him gathering his confidence to talk to him.
why was he surprised?
well, naruto didn't socialize with a lot of people, because he was scared they would reject him as their parents warned them about him, saying that he was a "demon child" and not to get close to him.
however, naruto decided to give talking to Shikari a shot since he was an orphan too.
"hmm... you know what ok I will go there after school!" Shikari noded.
then silence was upon the two as shikari asked a question that would change everyone's fate.
"do you want to come with me? don't worry I am paying!" Shikari offered.
naruto stood there stunned, he never expected someone would invite him to food.
still processing the information naruto instinctively replied.
"Yes!"
at that shikari smiled and then said: "well after school take me to it okay?"
"o-okay." naruto agreed stuttering he was still trying to process what just happened.
someone offered him free food, but no repayments were asked.
naruto's heart was warmed as only two people now three had invited him to ramen.
his Jiji ( the third Hokage), teuchi ( the ramen shop owner), and Shikari.
naruto grinned happiness and warmness filling his very being.
"of course!"
in the end, the two boys went to the ramen shop and had a great time, and Shikari said 'screw it' and collected the SSS-Grade cooking talent from teuchi.
*flashback end*
a month passed since then and Shikari had another free collection.
'what should I collect' Shikari questioned.
a few options came to his mind.
Calligraphy, Ninjutsu, genjutsu, and possibly kenjutsu
Calligraphy because he had once asked the system if the fuinjutsu talent included calligraphy or not (because it is necessary for learning fuinjutsu) and the answer was no.
so if he wanted to dive into learning fuinjutsu he first had to master calligraphy which wasn't THAT hard, but it would be better if he were better at it by having a calligraphy talent because it affects his fuinjutsu efficiency.
kenjutsu because he wants to get a sword.
ninjutsu and genjutsu are obvious.
but Shikari feared something.
'hey, system does ninjutsu include its branches like forbidden Jutsu?'
{ no it doesn't, the user has to collect every branch individually and then possibly combine them into ninjutsu which is a feature in the next level of the talent system }
what Shikari feared came to be true.
'even things like fire style and earth style jutsu?'
{ Yes }
'I am screwed'
Shikari first thought that he would collect every useful talent in a year but oh boy how wrong he was.
if shikari just wants to collect all the Jutsu styles it will take him at least EIGHT whole months.
there is fire style, water style, earth style, wind style, lightning style, yin style, yang style, non-nature jutsus, and possibly yin-yang style jutsus.
just thinking about that makes Shikari have a headache, but he must soldier onwards.
Shikari finally decided on collecting calligraphy since fuinjutsu can be really useful in the right hands.
Shikari was a man on a mission as he walked into Konoha's library to test a theory he had.
but Shikari suddenly stopped and face-slapped himself he could just ask the system to confirm his suspicions.
'system can I collect a talent from books?' Shikari hopefully asked.
{ yes but the user can only collect three talents from books for the entire year this was made so the user doesn't get too strong too quickly }
'that doesn't make any sense why would the system not want me to be too powerful there is something suspicious going on here but I will leave it behind.....for now' Shikari decided then, continued his march to the library until he finally arrived.
"hello there young one what can I do for you?" a kind old lady asked Shikari when he arrived at the library.
"Hello, can I please get the calligraphy book?" Shikari smiled.
"Sure, do you want to purchase it or borrow it for some time?" the old lady asked.
"I just want to borrow it for a few seconds!" Shikari answered.
'what can he do with it if he only has it for a few seconds?' the old lady question in her mind, but that wasn't her business.
"I want the best book on calligraphy!" Shikari laughed looking like an innocent kid.
the lady nodded and then went inside the library, and after some time she came out with a book in her hands titled 'Calligraphy'.
"there you go little one!" The woman said as she handed the book over to Shikari, one could see that at the back of the book, a name was written there.
Namikaze Minato!
normally she wouldn't give anyone this book unless they paid a big amount of money, but looking at the boy she felt entitled to give the book to him, she felt like he could be something big in the future, so an investment in him wouldn't be bad.
Shikari looked at the name written at the back of the book, his eyes gleaming with excitement.
'now this is something!' Shikari smiled.
"Hey, can you tell me your name?" Shikari asked.
the woman chuckled and then said: "Hiroko, Nara Hiroko."
"thank you Hiroko-sama!" Shikari thanked while at the same time thinking: 'collect'
and after a friendly conversation with Hiroko, Shikari went and bought ink and paper then returned home thinking of the message he received.
{ the calligraphy SSS-grade talent has been collected }
Shikari looked at the wall clock seeing it was still early in the day.
so he decided to immediately start training in calligraphy.
time passed as Shikari's handwriting went from a kid's to an amateur in calligraphy in just a few hours, having SSS talents is awesome.
