Chapter 9: Spider Man 2
Jack wanted to have a cooler superhero costume when he had more superpowers, so he would choose a better superhero name that would be with him for years to come.
Jack started talking to Peter more after gaining his trust, Peter told Jack about Uncle Ben's death and the famous quote "with great power comes great responsibility."
Peter also told Jack that he worked as a photographer for the Daily Bugle, and said that he decided to sell pictures to the Daily Bugle because J. Jonah Jameson always made Spider-Man look like a villain.
So at least Peter would make a lot of money selling pictures of his fights, J. Jonah Jameson bad-mouthed him but helped Peter pay his bills while he attended university.
Jack had always found it strange how Peter always had problems with money if he was paid so much for the photos he sold, but he soon realized that it was the famous timeline problem in the comics.
70 years had passed since the beginning of the Spider-Man stories, but Peter Parker was at most 40 years old in most comic book stories, even though Peter was 15 when he became Spider-Man, he would be 85 years old in the comics in the year from 2030.
So even though it seemed like Peter was always selling pictures of him fighting villains for a lot of money to J. Jonah Jameson, it actually took several weeks or even months for a new villain to appear.
Peter said that J. Jonah Jameson paid little for pictures of Spider-Man fighting regular banishers, so he always had problems with a lack of money.
Peter also told Jack about his relationships, Peter still didn't know Mary Jane Watson, and he knew Gwen Stacy, but they weren't even friends yet, he knew Harry Osborn and he wasn't friends with him yet.
So the person Peter liked and was dating was actually Betty Brant who was J.J. Jameson, this was more like what had happened in the comics.
After a few weeks of Jack patrolling with Peter, soon the first villain appeared, it was Vulture, Vulture had escaped from jail again and Jack, who was patrolling with Peter, heard on the police radio that Vulture was robbing a jewelry store.
"Spider, it looks like an old friend of yours has gone free again," Jack said laughing.
"Which friend? I've arrested a lot of villains, but almost always come back somehow." Spider Man said irritably at the thought of the police's incompetence in keeping villains in jail.
"It's Vulture, he's robbing a jewelry store right after getting out of prison, how he flies, I don't think I can help you this time," Jack said.
"The Vulture? If he just escaped from jail it will be easier, he must be robbing this jewelry store to improve his wings again, but I won't give him that time."
Soon Jack saw Spider Man quickly going to where Vulture was, as it was a close place, Jack decided to get closer to see how Spider Man fought against a villain he always saw in the comics.
Jack approached quickly and could see with his vision which had improved along with his strength, the fight between Vulture and Spider-Man in the sky of New York.
Just like Spider-Man had said, Vulture didn't expect Spider to appear before upgrading his wings, Vulture created a weaker than normal wing after breaking out of prison.
Jack saw that Spider-Man had experience facing Vulture and quickly destroyed his new wings, Spider Man used his webs to leave Vulture tied up until the police came to arrest him.
Spider Man saw Jack and used the webs to quickly go back to where they were patrolling before, Jack understood and also went back to the same place as before and looked at his bracelet to see that he had gained 10,000 fate points just for say where Spider Man had to go to defeat Vulture.
This showed Jack that facing the villains was what he had to do as soon as he gained more power, otherwise, it would take years for him to have a power close to that of Spider Man.
Time passed quickly and several months passed, Jack and Peter had become great friends and now Peter trusted Jack completely.
Thanks to Jack, Peter had more time to spend with Aunt May, with Betty Brant, and to participate well in his classes at the university, after all, the New York police did a good job and Jack could already deal with all kinds of criminals.
After several months of training, Jack greatly increased his strength, and with his limitless physical potential, Jack increased his strength, speed, his body's durability, stamina, and regeneration.
So Jack was no longer afraid of bandits who used firearms, after all, he would just die if a guy caught his eyes, Jack increased his reflex and vision with physical training.
So Peter just had to deal with the villains urgently, the common bandits could be defeated by Jack and the police, of course, Peter always fought with the bandits, but at least he didn't have to disappear on important dates anymore.
Jack didn't care about anything more than getting stronger, that was his natural personality and maybe that's why he was chosen to come to the Marvel universe, Jack would only allow himself to rest when he was sure he could deal with future threats.
At that time, Jack also achieved 2 million fate points, with the help of Spider Man who could attack several bandits in one day, Jack managed to earn more than 20 thousand fate points a day.
And when villains appeared, Jack earned 10,000 Fate Points just for telling Spider Man where he had to go, even when the villains ran away, Jack earned Fate Points.
In that time he saw Spider Man fight Vulture, Electro, Sandman, and Green Goblin, in addition to Vulture, all the villains fled when Spider Man defeated them, and unlike the comics, Spider Man could not easily arrest them.
At least with Jack's help, Spider Man managed to prevent them from robbing banks and money in New York, fewer people were hurt thanks to that and Jack was happy about that.
