Chapter 145: Guardians of the Galaxy 6
Jack took them inside the Dark Aster, and Gamora and Nebula, who knew the ship, were surprised to see Ronan's servants dead on the floor. They realized that Jack had taken control of Ronan's ship.
"You fought very well together against Ronan and his troops. I don't know where the Power Stone is, but you were willing to do the right thing and keep the Power Stone away from Thanos and Ronan," said Jack.
"You also gave me a good opportunity to finally kill Ronan by bringing him to Knowhere. Here, Ronan couldn't use the Dark Aster or any of his other ships. Maybe you can be the Guardians of the Galaxy while you try to find a purpose for your lives," said Jack.
Jack didn't want to talk to them too much, but since he had killed Ronan and the battle on Xandar wouldn't happen, he had to try to keep the team together. After all, they still didn't trust each other, especially Gamora and Rocket, who were the most suspicious.
"I don't know all of you, but some of you are well known. Drax, I'm sure you want to kill Thanos after Ronan's death. But alone, you couldn't even kill Ronan. You need a team to have a chance of revenge," said Jack.
"Gamora, you're Thanos's daughter and have had to do many things you didn't want to because of it, including teaming up with Ronan. You wanted to sell the orb to get money and escape Thanos and Ronan. Now you can stay in this team."
"That way, you can pay for some of your mistakes and also have a way to stay away from Thanos. Nebula, you're like Gamora but haven't had the courage to leave Thanos yet. But you were willing to team up with Ronan so he could kill your father," said Jack.
"Thanos is after the Infinity Stones, just like he was after the Power Stone. You know what he'll do when he gets all six stones. Gamora, Thanos can access Nebula's memory, so he can know that you found out where to get the Soul Stone," said Jack.
Gamora and Nebula were shocked to hear this. Gamora told Nebula that once she had discovered where the Soul Stone was, Thanos could access Nebula's memories and go after Gamora to find out where the Soul Stone was.
Drax decided to stay with the team to have a chance to kill Thanos. Gamora would also stay on the team to escape from Thanos. Nebula also thought about staying on this team despite hating her sister because she didn't want to be caught by Thanos.
Peter Quill would also stay with the team because he was starting to like Gamora. Rocket didn't want to be away from his new friends and would stay on the team along with Groot, so the Guardians of the Galaxy would continue together, and Nebula would be on the team. Groot hadn't been injured, so the team would be stronger.
Jack also realized this and was pleased that he hadn't spoken for no reason. Jack could accompany the Guardians of the Galaxy with the Mind Stone, so he would know when Thanos tried to take the Soul Stone that Gamora knew where it was.
"One last warning, Peter, you're half-human and your other half is an ancient creature. Be careful with your father, Peter, he can find you, he's not a good person and he will lie to you to get what he wants," said Jack.
Jack opened a portal and used telekinesis to put them all inside Peter Quill's ship. Then Jack closed the portal and could relax and stop acting. Natasha, who was next to Peter, laughed and deactivated her suit.
"Don't laugh, I know it was embarrassing, but it was necessary since they have to stay together. If it weren't for Thanos paying attention to this situation, I wouldn't need to hide," said Jack.
"I know, you did what was necessary. I really enjoyed our vacation over the past few months. In the end, we even killed a genocidal maniac, I had fun fighting too," said Natasha.
"Let's hide this giant ship and then we'll go back to Earth, I know nothing is happening there, but I always get worried," said Jack.
Jack had EVE take over the systems of the Dark Aster. He had read Ronan's mind before killing him and several people on the Dark Aster, so he could use his clones to pilot the giant ship. But before that, Jack had EVE use the mind stone to scan the ship for any trackers that Thanos or the Kree could use to locate it. Jack also used his magic and the reality stone to make sure.
Jack found several things that could be used by someone to discover the location of the Dark Aster. Jack removed all these things from the ship and then used his clones to take the ship at maximum speed to a nearby jump point and take the ship away.
So after a few minutes, Jack was thousands of kilometers away from Knowhere and used the space stone to take the Dark Aster to the planet where Algrim was. Jack used some spells and made the ship invisible and untraceable, and returned to his apartment in New York with Natasha.
"Natasha, this trip was amazing, I can hardly believe we're back home," said Jack.
"I know, I'm also happy to be back. I miss our bed and our apartment," said Natasha.
"I didn't know you missed home too, you seemed to be enjoying the trip a lot," Jack joked.
"I did, it was all new to me, but being with you made everything so good," said Natasha, and kissed Jack.
"I also like being with you, now let's take a shower after that fight, you can come with me," said Jack.
Natasha was also eager to take a shower after a fight and was not shy and went with Jack. They showered together; if they weren't so strong, they would have been more sweaty after the shower.
While Natasha was resting on the bed, Jack was checking with his clones if anything had happened that he didn't know about during the week away from Earth. Jack had few clones on Earth but left all his phones with his clone.
