Chapter 137: Calm And Collected

Blood. Why is there so much blood? It's warm. Why is it warm when he is so cold? Why aren't the paramedics here yet? There is too much blood. The blood is darker than I thought. It smells like metal. He isn't breathing anymore. 

"Rin. Rin! RIN!!"

Who is that? I don't know. Where am I? Why does my body feel so heavy?

"For god's sake Rin. Snap out of it! The police are here. You need to move. The paramedics will take it from here." Jess says.

Her voice finally breaks me free from my downward spiral. 

"Oh, right. Sure." I say as I slowly place the general's head on the ground. 

I stand up and stagger out of the stall. I feel blood dripping down my hand and fingertips. I lift my hands to look at them and can only see red. That's not my hand. Who's hand is this? 

"Rin, come on, let's move out of the way," Jess says as she pulls me into the back hallway.
