Chapter 19: A cool new a b I i l i t y
As Chris heads towards the field he starts to notice a couple of people start to stare at him mainly Deadshot and the penguin both sent here by Batman after they went after Chris. As Chris starts to work out he is approached by a couple of guys who all have the penguins symbol on their shoulder "so I hear you were making trouble for the boss and killing his henchmen, follow us" the biggest of the guys say as he starts to walk away but notices Chris who didn't even stop his workout "oh you're ignoring me come on boys let's teach him what happens when you ignore us" as he says this Chris puts the dumbbell he was working with "oh look at this tuff guy" the buff guy says in a mocking voice "fine then let's follow your lead " oryx your up" he thinks as he follows the, to a corner with little Gaurd visibility "alright new guy you caused trouble to our gang and got the boss mad so don't fight back and it will all be over soon" he says as he cracks his knuckles and goes to swing with Chris ducking under it and punching the guy in the chin making his stumble back "lucky shot he says as he swings again only to miss allowing Chris to punch him in the stomach as he falls to his knees chris knees him in the nose as hard as he could causing the guy to fall onto his back knocked out.
As Chris turns to walk away he is attacked by the other 2 guys, one throws a swing at his head he quickly ducks and sweeps the feet of the man causing his face to hit the pavement hard, as the other one who was also going for a swing bit trips on the first guy allowing Chris to stomp on his neck causing a snap to be herd all through the courtyard as everyone looks over at them chris calmly walks back to his workout area.
"your guys suck," says bane says as he looks at the penguin who is shaking in rage "well if you can do better do it then," the little man says with rage searing in his voice "not now I already have had my fun watching him," he says with amusement in his voice as guards start swarming the body and Chris bringing Chris to solitary confinement and bringing the dead body to the morgue with the 2 injured in the med bay.
Deadshot POV
"seems that kid has gotten better from the last time I had my scope on him," dead shot thinks as he eats his lunch in his cell "he would be a good choice for Waller, I might just recommend him next time she comes might get a few years off my sentence until that clown can break us out of here" as he finishes his lunch.
As Chris begins his week in solitary confinement he starts to test out some stuff with his power, closing his hand tightly and grabbing a small knife in his hand "so let's try this" as he closes his eyes and pictures the room as a bag grabbing the air with nothing there when he opens his eyes and for days he tried and tried again until on what felt like day 5 Chris suddenly he grabs ahold of a hand "what the" is all he could think as rook puts his hand on his mouth "shh my friend we don't want to get the guards attention" "how are you here" chris says with a surprised voice " I don't know but a few days ago there was a massive change in your body it's like an unknown source of energy entered it we all felt it in your mind" as Chris hears this he thinks what could cause that much energy to appear in just an instant "I think I know what it is" Chris says "the partial accelerator in the central city, it must have exploded sending massive amounts of energy into the world giving certan people powers, and I guess it messed with mine as it gave me the ability to summon you guys from my mind" "that makes sense but why did you summon me?"
