Chapter 2: Prince of Prussia
1897 // Potsdam, Germany
Its been 7 years since what I've dubbed the Isekai Event. It was hard to adapt being a baby at first. From shitting to pissing myself against my wishes, to the embarrassment of breastfeeding. Still I had to quickly adapt in order to make the most of my new life.
The first two years of my life I mainly stayed quiet and acted like good-boy. Not because I wanted to but because its too hard to speak coherently with such an underdeveloped body. On some days I play, on others I explore the Palace, but I mainly spent the time sleeping and reciting knowledge of my previous life. I can barely speak straight, so don't mention writing.
From ages 3-4 I started talking in earnest. I made sure not to say anything too complex since I don't want to be branded as a 'genius.' But these wishes didn't come true, my parents noticing how quickly I started talking, made me take tutoring in earnest. The curricula were Math, Language and Culture. The lessons were easy as pie, and since I found them annoying kept acing them so as to stop the tutoring. But this only backfired as I was eventually branded a 'genius.'
When I was five I added a new past-time to my daily schedule, football (soccer). I've loved football for more than two decades (including this life), so when I judged that I had become physically able to partake in the sport, I asked for a soccer ball from my parents. It was hard to adapt to playing football with my body at first but I eventually got the hang of it. I also commissioned an artisan to make me simple football cleats so that I can play more comfortably. I'm pretty sure these were the first of its kind, so I plan to make money off of it later.
After turning six years old, I repeated the schedule that I've gradually gotten used to. Learning my lesson I decided not to blitz my schooling, so I took more time for each class, making it look like I'm actually trying hard (not). Still, since I was a soon to be a college graduate I naturally aced all my tests. Science, Literature were added to my curriculum as well. But since I wasn't originally German in my previous life, I was forced to actually work hard on my Literature and Culture lessons. I also attempted to add a new past-time, horseback riding, but after falling off the pony on my first attempt at riding it, I became averse to such creatures.
In to the present. I am now seven years old. I thought about it and decided to say fuck it to my studies, after negotiating with my parents it was decided that if I prove my competency through a test, my curriculum will be reduced. After acing Math, Science and Language, I was able to remove them from my lessons, at least until I turn 11, since by then I'll start my Royal education in earnest. Literature and Culture were only ok, so I have to keep studying for 2-3 years more.
With my freed up schedule, I decided to add some extra-curriculars to my tutoring. Respectively French, Spanish and Irish Gaelic. I'm already fluent in German and English, so I wanted to learn two additional languages that will be useful in the future. I'm still unsure about Irish Gaelic but I decided to learn it as a hobby first, and if things work out I can use it to do some fun.

I end the day writing my journal. This has been a routine of mine ever since I've been able to write. In order to maintain secrecy I write using Japanese, although I'm not fluent, I'm able to read and write quite well. In my previous life I was an otaku, so to aid in my noble endeavors I learned Japanese.

[My name is Joachim Franz Humbert von Preußen, born on October 11, 1890. As the 6th son of Kaiser Wilhelm II and Empress Augusta.
I have 5 older brothers: Wilhelm, Eitel, Adalbert, August, Oskar, and one cute little sister, Victoria.
It was hard getting used to to a new family at first, but I got used to it soon. The atmosphere in our family is a lot more harmonious than I initially expected. I play with my siblings, chat with my parents, hunt with the men, get spanked by mom. Pretty much a normal family.
