Chapter 43: Ch 43- Mission Part-2
As we slowly aproach enemy camp i silently clutch the teleport talisman in my hand. This is a key piece of our plan. After we are done damaging them we are to escape with this.
The enemy sentries up ahead are unable to spot us as thanks to Raze our 4th member his power allow us remain invisible and get through without detection.
"Enemy barrier coming up, remember i can only mask your energy signature for five seconds. In those five seconds you need to go through the barrier take out whatever is behind it and do it as quitely as possible." Raze explained to us.
Five seconds should be more Than enough at least for me. We are entering through the back of the enemy base. Our proximate position is their mess hall. That's the place where the enemy will be the most unguarded.
"At the count of three" spoke Derek
Boom we all sped up and took different positions as soon as we got in the barrier.
In front of us stood two bewildered Master ranks and behind them stood dozens of Experts and Advanced. I also noticed another three Master ranks incoming south of our position. They must have noticed the oddity.
Without a word we communicated. Derek and Morgan will take the three incoming masters Raze will cover our backs and i will take the two masters in front.
With a though large earth spike hovered around me immediately getting ignited in fire thus they turned into Magma spikes. I shot them all with precision to the nearest master.
Before the master could protect himself, there were already several large holes in his body. An explosion occured as the spikes went through and caused damage even after destroying the First master.
The second one acted quickly. Bringing his hands closer several orbs of light were created. They shone with silvery brilliance. They immediately headed my way with supersonic speed. I used Void Defense. Booom! Large explosions rocked the place the ground shattering near me. However i was fine as my defense held. The master was surprised before he sent more attacks toward me.
I ran and kept dodging the attacks, explosions started non stop. However anyone who noticed this from a few meters outside would not have been able to see or hear any of this commotion. This was part of Raze abilities.
I created a sword using Void Armament. I got into melee with the Master. He was only able to hold out for a few seconds beforw his head was lying in the ground. The Advanced and Expert ranks could only watch as even now they were still in prep work. That's how fast battles between Masters occur.
I used my earth elemental power to suck all of the remaining lower ranks into the ground where they were then crushed into meat paste by the force of the soil underground. It was truly a horrible way to go. But at least they died quick that's the least i could do for them.
Back at the enemies. Derek was using his Soul Art abilties to keep his opponent occupied while Morgan was fighting the remaining two. Morgan quickly seized the chance and used his force based powers to crush the head of the enemy that was fighting Derek while he was distracted.
Derek in turn swiftly ran behind the enemies fighting Moragn and shot a palm strike at one of them. Before the enemy could defend he was already ded after the strike connected as his soul was crushed. Morgan easily killed the last one annihilating him by crippling his legs than finishing him.
The lower ranks around them were also quickly finished as they were not able to put up much resistance. All of this took only 2minutes and 23 seconds to commence. Thats the pace of battles Between master level beings. Grandmasters are even more exaggerated.
"Whoo that was fun, got to stretch my old muscles." spoke Derek cheerily.
"Yeah i Didn't expect we'd be finished so quickly." spoke Raze
"Yes, however we should quick while we still have the element of surprise." Said Morgan.
We all agreed then quickly left, not after patching up the area as now it looked nothing ever happened here. This was thanks to Raze's ability. I Won't lie his power is hella useful for these kind of mission.
With that said we all left the area swiftly and carried on our mission.
