The last three skills left Wanjiru flabbergasted, their price was way over his budget.
The other three, trapping, tracking and scouting were also expensive but he understood the reason behind it. These skills were considered rare but not by much.
"Why are the final three quiet expensive...?"
"Your Lordship..... forgive this lowly one for not recognizing who you were before...."
The elven attendant said as she bowed,at first when she had gotten into the room,she had felt something different from the crazy ordinary customer.
Her mind had been in overclock as she tried deciphering what might have changed and when she was able to put two and two together...her body shook as she realized she had just treated a Baron just like she would treat any other customer.
It dawned on Wanjiru that his new title had started taking effect. He was about to ask her to rise when a certain evil thought drifted in his mind.
"Rise...."
His voice was flat but one full of authority.
"Yes your Lordship..."
"The last three skills...."
He said as he pointed at the scroll he had now placed on the table.
"Your Lordship,the final three are different from the skills on the scrolls in that their skills can be learnt by anyone without a limit to how many people learn them....."
She paused and seen his Lordship still confused,she chose to explain it in the easiest way possible....
"Your Lordship,Skill scrolls dissipate after use but for these three...."she said she retrieved three books from her spatial poach,"they don't because as you can see,they are skill books."
Seeing the books, Wanjiru now understood why such a high pricing.
"What about the skills related to teaching and management....?"
He asked as he recalled he hadn't seeing these two skill scrolls among his mountain of scrolls....
"Your Lordship,pardon me but these two skill scrolls were not in our inventory,but if you could wait for a short while, I will go ask the shop manager on their availability..."
The elven attendant said as she bowed....
Acting as if he was in deep thoughts, Wanjiru agreed to her request before handing her three hundred and ten gold coins for all the scrolls.
The elven attendant seemed undecided but she still took the gold coins.
As she left, Wanjiru patted himself on the back before leaning back on the velvet coach to enjoy another of their delicious cupcakes.
Ten minutes later,the elven attendant led a middle aged woman in the room. She was dressed simply and had little makeup on but still looked dashing.
"Your Lordship, forgive this lowly one for not attending to you earlier....."
The woman said as she bowed....
"Rise...." Wanjiru said in his flat authoritative voice.
"Thank you your Lordship.....am Madam Pearl,the manager...."
"Madam Pearl, I hope you have been informed of my queries...."
"Yes my Lordship.... the two skill scrolls you seek are quite rare,since our shop was established,we have only had the pleasure of selling a few pieces and all were at basic level...."
"Ooh...I see...."
The room was silent as Wanjiru pondered for a while.....
"Thank you for information...."
"You are welcomed your Lordship..."
"But I shall have to trouble you.... keep an eye open for the two skills and am willing to pay any appropriate amount..."
He said as he handed her his communication jade.
"That I will gladly do your Lordship..."
The middle aged woman said as she picked the communication jade and bowed.
"Here is my token....we may not have spread to all kingdoms but we have shops in all cities east and north of this continent."
Madam Pearl said as she handed him a bronze token.....

Wanjiru mentally heaved in relief, this was the question he had been waiting for...
"Yes ...."
As he paused the two women felt a foreboding aura engulf them. For a moment, the middle aged woman swore she saw an evil greedy glint in his Lordship eyes. She dreaded and cursed at herself for having asked that question....
"I need her...."
Wanjiru said as she pointed at the now frozen elf, Madam Pearl cursed the day she was born as for now,it had already dawned on her that she had been played unknowingly.
She could tell from the greedy look in his Lordship eyes that he had been planning on acquiring the elven attendant for long,but she couldn't part with her as she was not a normal slave but one with high intellect and an aptitude for business.
She had been naturing her for long.
"Your Lordship,she is one of the most important attendant of our shop and master have plans for her..."
"Your Master....am afraid that if he heard you now he will have your tongue cut off...."
His voice was filled with ignorance.
Wanjiru watched as Madam Pearl fought her conviction and a couple of tensed minutes later she pulled out a communication jade from her storage ring.
"If his Lordship doesn't mind, I wish to seek my masters permission first...."
"Go ahead..."
Wanjiru tone was filled with the pride of victory.
To him,he was a hundred and one percent sure,that Madam Pearl's Master would let him have the elven attendant... simply because nobody would offend a noble for the sake of a slave.
a trapping skill,a scouting skill,a tracking a night vision skill,an underwater breathing skill, skills related to teaching and management....
