Chapter 5: Bounty hunting
Somewhere at the sea you could see two men sitting on a medium sized merchant ship while trying their best to navigate to the nearest island. These two men were Damien and Ken who recently left Cozia island to do some bounty hunting. They got some bounty posters from Josh and some info about where they could find them,
"How much time is left till we see an island inhabited by pirates? " Damien asked Ken, bored with the current situation. "It's about 2 hours left, let's spar to pass the time" Ken suggested as he started stretching. "Yeah let's do that" Damien replied before stretching his limbs.
They have already sparred 3 times since they left Cozia island. And this'll be the 4th time. They both looked at each other before getting into stances. Ken developed a unique fighting style as he grew up it works by concentrating natural energy into a single point of you're body then unleashing it with all you got. He didn't use the fighting style in the previous sparring sessions as he wanted to catch Damien off guard.
Ken started to secretly concentrate energy in his feet while slowly walking towards Damien. Ken waited for Damien to slip up and let his guard down for a single moment. 'Hmm what is he trying to do' Damien was in thought before running towards Ken trying to punch him in his solar plexus.
Ken who's been waiting for Damien to let his guard down dodged his punch and unleashed the concentrated energy in his feet. As Ken used his martial arts he appeared in front of Damien with speed comparable to soru and proceeded to punch him in the face.
Damien who was sent flying back started laughing for some weird reason. "HAHAHA!, you're full of surprises Ken" Damien roared as he uttered "Domain of concept deletion". Damien who looked to be a little pale grunted before saying "looks like I can't use it however I like".
Ken seeing his captain's condition used his martial arts to try to appear in front of him again. Just as he was about to use it Damien whispered "Speed deletion" and Ken who was about to use his martial arts slowed down as he was in regular walking speed Damien took the opportunity to punch Ken in the stomach sending him flying back and crashing towards the edge of the ship.
"FAHAHA!". "You're the one who's filled with surprises captain". Ken laughed as he got up and saw an exhausted Damien lying on the floor taking deep breaths. "That move takes a shit ton of stamina to use, looks like we need to up the training Ken" Damien said while looking at ken with a determined gaze.
"Aye aye captain". Ken replied nodding his head. They continued to spar and hone their skills nonstop over the span of 2 hours.
"Looks like were here at last" Damien said as he wiped off his sweat. Ken who was beside him just nodded his head. In front of them was an island that was rumoured to be a paradise for pirates. "Well our target is Kevin the butcher who's worth 20 million berries" Damien explained as he led the boat to dock at the island.
The moment Damien and Ken started walking toward the city they felt countless stares directed at them. Some weak pirates tried to ambush them but Damien simply snapped his fingers as he uttered "Return to nothingness" the group of pirates disappeared from the face of the planet.
Damiens eyes started giving of a piercing red glow as he stared at another group of pirates that tried to rob Damien and ken, but there was something different about this group Damien saw Kevin the butcher leading them and walking towards them.
"HAHAHA!, who would have thought that our target would deliver himself to us" Damien said while laughing. "I'll take care of the trash for you" Ken said with a bored look on his face before running towards the group of pirates. Damien unsheathed his sword before immediately using "Void steps" to appear before Kevin and proceeded to cut off his arm.
"DAMN YOU BASTARD" Kevin roared as the pain of losing his arm almost made him fall down. He clenched his teeth as hard as he possibly could and took out his pistol and aimed it at Damien. Before Kevin could pull the trigger Damien snapped his fingers and loudly said "Return to nothingness" an invisible power swept out to forever erase Kevin's hand and the pistol from existence. He started bleeding profusely as he fell on the ground.
"AHHHHH" Kevin started squirming around in pain as he questioned his life decisions that led up to this encounter. Damien started walking towards Kevin with a creepy grin plastered on his face. "STOP!!, please don't get any closer" Kevin started screaming.
Meanwhile Damien was finishing things up with Kevin, Ken was surrounded by 17 people. "Seems like the captain finished his fight, It's about time I wrapped it up". Ken said as he started applying energy on all sharp points in his body, the elbow,knuckles,knees etc. "Let's start this shit show" Ken said as a smile slowly crept it's way to his face.
He started by running to the nearest guy and punched him in the throat as the person Ken punched started to fall down he took a hold of his arm and threw him at the rest. "AHHH!!, let's attack together!" one of the people among the group screamed before running towards Ken. Ken intercepted him by dodging and hitting his vital points.
As he concentrated an extreme amount of energies in his palms he muttered "Whirlwind Palms" as he proceeded to run through the group and strike their vital points. "Demon!!". "They're demons!!, AHHH!!" the group screamed as they saw Kevin getting toyed around with their comrades corpses in front of them.
"FAHAHA!, a bunch of low lives calling me a demon?" Ken sneered as he finished the rest of them off. Ken and Damien regrouped as they collected any heads worth some bounty. The gazes that they felt from earlier already left them in fear of provoking them after seeing their strength.
"Let's go collect some more before we go and cash these in" Ken suggested. "Sure why not" Damien shrugged his shoulders. They went to a random restaurant and ate food before planning which pirates to hunt down first.
A few days later...
Damien and Ken hunted every pirate worth above 5 million berries. Without them knowing the info of them slaughtering and hunting pirates didn't go unnoticed. In the middle of the sea you could see Damien and Ken sailing the seas a few hours away from their destination.
As Damien and Ken were in a deep meditative state you could see dozens of bags leaking a little blood. These bags were filled with the decapitated head that they hunted. As Damien saw a news coo bird flying above them he flipped a fifty coin berries for the bird to catch it and dropped some newspaper in exchange.
As he read the news he saw photos of him and Ken slaughtering pirates as he read the title that was *Newly rising bounty hunters cleansing pirate infested island of criminals*. "HAHAHA!, look at this Ken" Damien said as he threw the paper to Ken.
"It'll only be a matter of time till we are known throughout the world as pirates" Damien said before stretching his limbs as he went to spar with Ken.
"You should recruit a new member who can cook food" Ken suggested as he ate some leftover sea king meat. "Yeah you're right, I'm also tired of eating the same thing over and over again" Damien nodded vigorously.

'The system is really handy giving me quests whenever I need them' Damien thought as he saw an island in the distance.

They were finally nearing the island with a marine base to exchange the bounties. The island was pretty lively with countless people walking on the street and several shops open and selling different things. As they docked the boat and walked to the marine base Damien wondered how much the money would add up to. As they entered the marine base they directly walked towards the reception and Damien retrieved the dozens of brown bags containing the decapitated heads.
"P- p- please w- wait for a moment" the receptionist almost peed his pants as he recognised Damien and Ken. He ran to get his supervisor, after a short moment the supervisor came and talked with Damien and Ken if they were interested in becoming marines. They immediately denied the invitation and left with the money they got.
They received 275 million berries to which Damien stored in his inventory. Damien and Ken planned to save up money to buy the best ship possible.
All of a sudden Damien stopped walking as he turned around and started staring in a certain direction which seemed to be an alley. If you looked really closely you could see a dark silhouette.
"Come out you've been following us for a while" Damien said as he had his hand on the sheath of his sword ready to strike at any moment. "Hehe, I knew you would find me" a voice sounded out as the silhouette became visible.
"Let me join your crew" the silhouette said, which revealed itself to be a 16 year old looking boy with black hair and blue eyes.

"What" Damien and Ken said looking confused. "Why do you want to join us?" Damien asked while emitting some pressure on the boy. "I feel that if I join you I will be able to achieve my dream" the boy replied while trying his best to resist the pressure. The pressure that Damien was releasing was not conquerors haki, it was the pressure of a sovereign that could decide the life of an entire nation with a word.
While sailing the seas Damien was meditating to become more familiar with the unique skill: Emperors mind it proved to be very useful in all situations. "What is your dream?" Ken asked as he was intrigued by the person in front of him. "My dream is to become the best and strongest cook in the world" the boy said with a huge grin on his face.
"HAHAHA!".
"FAHAHA!".
"What are you laughing at?" the boy said with an angry look on his face. He hated when people laughed at his dream the most. "We are not laughing at you" Damien explained with a smile on his face. "It's just that we've been wanting a cook in our crew for some time now and It's really convenient that we met you" Damien explained as he understood why the boy was mad, he also hated when people laughed at others dreams.
"What's your name?" Ken asked. "My name is Lewis, Lewis Richard" he replied.
"Welcome aboard Lewis, my name is Damien, Francis D. Damien. "And this is my vice captain Ken" Damien said as he pointed at Ken before extending his hand to shake Lewis's. "Thanks'" Lewis replied as he shook Damien's hand. As they talked more to get a little bit more familiar with each other on the way back to the ship Damien checked out his reward.

'I'm very satisfied with these rewards' Damien thought with a huge smile on his face.
