Chapter 3: Tears and smiles
" I just have to get this done for tomorrow "yanhui was completing her homework given by her tutor. She struggled to get it done as she was indeed a very physically active person. it was an exasperating task for her and on top of it she had to study economics which was her nemesis in her past life. She hated that subject from the bottom of her heart it was too irksome.
if it was the actual yanhui she wouldn't bother trying instead she would just throw the homework out and will get the tutor fired in one way or another. but still, economics was a subject both souls hated.
Yanhui finally completed her homework and was preparing to work out. She switched to her workout clothes and went to the gym which was located just below her bedroom.
She was surprised at first but soon got hold of the fact that she's the daughter of a conglomerate family so it's pretty normal to have a gym at home. In her previous life working out and exhausting herself was the only way she could escape from her worries.
But now that she got a second chance it wasn't some activity for stress relief but she was girding up her loins for the upcoming battle. She knew from the message from the ai that soon her fourteenth birthday will arrive and that's when something will happen.
previously yanhui's fourteenth birthday was the event when she lost her father's favour. it was the time Gu Shaoyang was pissed off by her arrogance. but this time it's quite unlikely to happen because now she's no longer the bratty yanhui everyone knew therefore she had it easy she thought. but still, a fear lingered in her heart as she knew that the female lead's entry will happen at that same event so she had to make sure that things between her brother and the fl will go smoothly. She also knew from the ai that the one who was responsible for her death will also be appearing. So she had to prevent her from causing any harm to the fl.
Yanhui completed her workout and was preparing to take a bath. she grabbed a scented soap from her toiletry cupboard and ran to the bathroom where she had the water running. she wondered if she would ever be able to use something like this at her age if she was living her previous life but suddenly a sad thought invaded her mind. It was about her coach and his wife who treated her like their own daughter. She wanted to thank them one last time as they did all they could to give her a good future even with their limited assets. With that, a tear escaped her eyes without her knowing.
It was the day before her birthday. She was selecting a nice outfit for her birthday. She knew that her birthday wasn't just a simple party it was an event where many large company owners would gather so she had to dress in such a way that she wouldn't embarrass her Father. Yanhui finally decided to wear a black suit outfit. She looked extremely intimidating in that outfit. though she was just fourteen she had the demeanor of a lion. she looked in the mirror for one last time and left for the party.
the party was organised at SS Hotel which was a luxurious hotel situated at the heart of the city. Anhui arrived on time and got out of her car. people who saw this devilishly handsome girl were stunned. Young girls were drooling over her. With her hair slicked back, she truly looked like a domineering. Her pheromones were no joke either. her jawline was so sharp that it could cut through. She saw some girls smirking and winking at her through her peripheral vision but she choose to ignore them. She knew from her brother that these omegas were just trying to hook up with her because of her money. She completed her birthday ceremonies and started to interact with her guest as it was essential to establish new connections and maintain old relationships.
she was exhausted and begged her uncle Feiyu if she could just get out and breathe some fresh hair. with a sigh and a wrinkle on his face, he agreed. Yanhui left the main hall and went to the garden. it was a well-groomed orchard with beautiful flowers in it. it was a soothing sight for one's eyes.
there wasn't anyone else besides her. suddenly she heard a thud. she glanced towards her left and saw a young girl on the floor at the far end of the hallway. she wasn't alone there were also a couple of girls dressed in exquisite jewellery and jewellery but they had this extremely ugly look on theifacesce, unlike the girl on the floor. even though tears slipped from her dove eyes she had an angelic glow on her face. Yanhui slowly walked towards the scene as she was enchanted by the girl on the floor.
girl 1: who do you think you are bitch?
acting all innocent but vicious, you don't know who you are messing with now clean my shoes do you know how much they cost
girl 2: exactly you know how much her shoes cost heh! How would you know you are such a lowly bitch
girl 1: I will let you go if you clean my shoes .... with your tongue. now lick it clean there shouldn't be a spot on it
girl 3: didn't you hear what she said or do you think of yourself that high? now do it BITCH
girl 2: you won't do it !!??
the arrogant girl raised her hands to smack the girl on the floor but she couldn't. She realised her hands were stopped by someone.
with a fierce look on her face, she glanced at the person who stopped her. She was shocked and took aback several steps. Yanhui was holding her hands with a stone-cold face which showed indifference. the other girls knew her identity and tried to come up with some excuse. but yan hui ignored them and gave a hand to the girl who was on the floor. all that time her eyes were on her. She only broke from the trance after hearing the annoyingly ugly sounds of those girls.
With a pissed face, she replied "Get the fuck out of my face if you don't want your parents to see your head on top of a stick" The girls were frantically hearing her statement.
Yanhui helped the girl get up and gave her an assuring smile that she is safe. the girl was blushing. She looked like a tomato as yan hui gave her a silk kerchief. She thanked her in a low voice. just as Yanhui was about to ask her name yansheng called her and asked her to meet their father as it was extremely urgent. with a wrinkled face, she hung up the phone and was about to rush. Just then she asked the girl to stay and wait for her. The girl nodded with a smile on her face.
Yanhui was walking towards the lounge where her father was. all that was in her mind was that one beautiful smile that could light up anyone. the heart of the alpha was already conquered.
She visited her father it turns out it was a business meeting that required her presence. She wondered why a fourteen-year-olds presence was required for such a business meeting. Seeing her baffled face yan sheng whispered in her year.
" soon we're going to take over our father's business so our presence is required here"
yanhui's doubt was soon cleared by her brother. though she was in the middle of the meeting she couldn't keep that smile off her face as she was still thinking about "HER".
as soon as the meeting was over yanhui rushed towards the garden. she felt sorry for the girl as it was cold outside. she blamed herself and ran towards the garden. To her disappointment, that girl was already gone .she felt relieved for one reason. If the girl had stayed there for too long she would have caught a fever.
She wanted to know who that girl was but she couldn't even ask her name. She felt like shit as she couldn't even ask the name of the girl she liked. the only thing she knew was that the girl was the daughter of a maid who worked for the catering services. she couldn't find her that way because the catering services have several dozen of workers and it would be impossible to find her mom. Anhui cursed under her breath and returned home.
she was exhausted. She changed her outfit and switched to her pyjamas. still, the thought of that pretty girl lingered in her heart.
Yanhui knew that she liked girls in her previous life but she didn't get a chance to date as her schedule was extremely tight.
and her fame and status in society won't allow homosexuality. She felt like being someone else at that time. but she refrained from all those thoughts and worked extremely hard to become the best boxer in the country. so now after her migration, she was happy with the fact that she could date whoever she wants.
Yahui soon drifted off to sleep thinking about her angel...
