Chapter 5: A Thank you note
Would you believe if you wish upon a shooting star then your wish would be fulfilled well Lin Yun did believe. She had to or else how would she survive the cruel nature wouldn't it be impossible for her to live further on? Lin Yun was a pure-blood omega. she belonged to one of the most prestigious Lin families. Lin's Family had one of the prettiest omegas in the country. but their name had tarnished as a result of the world war which occurred 70 years ago.
All omegas were sold as slaves or bed warmers for the young masters of prominent families. and among them was Lin Yun's grandmother. She struggled to raise her daughter but unfortunately, her daughter, Lin Yun's mother fell for the young master of the Zhou family. Zhou ran, the third young master of the Zhou family was not the prince charming she was expecting and unfortunately, it was too late when she realised that the wolf in sheep clothes was none other than Zhou Ran.
He was already married and fathered three children of his own.
When Lin Yun's mother found out her lover was married, she was devastated. At that time she was bearing Lin Yun in her stomach. Lin Yun unlike other children in her age was quite sensible. She never asked her mother or grandmother for anything. Another thing about her is that she loved studying. Lin Yun's mother was a maidservant working for a hotel. Lin Yun would accompany her mother when she would go to her workplace. all the other stuff except the manager who was quite a rodent loved Lin Yun. Her mother's colleagues would bring her sweet hawthorn candy and mooncakes.
As she grew, her beauty along with her wisdom grew., Several people asked for her hand in marriage even when she was just sixteen. Her mother protected her from the predatory eyes of society. But she knew she couldn't protect her from evil forever and her intuition was right on a fateful Sunday Lin Yun was kidnapped.
Lin Yun's beauty caught the eyes of a rogue man with a big belly. he bought her from the gang who kidnapped her for 4 million dollars. She was brought to a bar and the rogue man was about to force himself on her but just then Yanhui came and protected her.
Yun felt a strange pull towards the gentlewoman who stood up for her. Yanhui lost consciousness and was only awake the next day.
She stared at the forbidden fruit on the bed snuggling close to her and let out a huge sigh. from the strange pull, she felt and the handsome woman's facial features she recognized her. It was the second time Yanhui had saved Lin Yun only she knew that.
Lin Yun left a note
''Thank you for saving me ..... again''
Lin Yun thought that Yanhui would have forgotten about the past. but little did she know that Yanhui was still waiting for the goldilocks.
Without wasting another minute she left for the house. She didn't have any money with her so she couldn't take the bus moreover as an omega it would be extremely dangerous for her to travel alone but thankfully it was still morning hence she could walk down the alley with ease.
She soon reached her home, her mother hadn't gone to work and was depressed whereas her grandmother who suffered from Alzheimer's was hanging Chinese lanterns all over the house. it was a heartbreaking sight for her.
That was when she appeared in front of her mother wearing a white shirt and pants which belonged to Yanhui.
as soon as her mother saw her she was crushed into a warm hug. As the mother and child were bonding tears trickled from both of their eyes.
''A'yun, my dear where were you these days? you worried this mother to death.''
she continued to cry. Her breaths were haggard.
Lin Yun soothed her mother as she softly caressed her mother's back
'' Ma look at me. I'm alive and well don't cry you know that I'm a Lin I wouldn't fall prey easily''
as they bonded her grandmother old Lin carried on with her lanterns.
Soon the day died and the night was born. back at the mansion, Yanhui was signing quite a bundle of documents that were required for the company's new partnership with the Clementines another famous group of companies who also had their business overseas.
In the beginning, clementines were a small unit of it professionals working in a rented building but now they have grown into massive security providers. Their subunit which provided the most exceptional security service known as the CL security was one of the best in the world.
they initially provided private security services for VIPs and VVIPs but along with that, they would also provide security for the politicians who had the most chance of getting shot.
The CLs also manufactured excellent security gadgets which were worth millions as their demand was quite high.
The Cls was a young man, an alpha with a stoic and ice-cold face. kai Scott. he was half British and half Asian.
His sharp jawlines and black locks of hair stood out. His green-blue eyes were stoic and didn't give away a glint of emotions, truly making him mysterious.
Kai was Yansheng's best buddy more like sworn brothers. they looked after each other while they were overseas. Though the brother was the best buddy, the sister wasn't. Yanhui hated him to the bones.
the bad blood between his bff and sister was unknown to the brother. one could say Yansheng was quite oblivious when it comes to that case he loved his sister and trusted his best buddy what could go wrong between them? but little did they know after Yansheng returned from overseas yanhui went away.
Kai promised to provide quarters and accommodation for his best friend's sister. He thought she was an innocent little bird but didn't realise she was an alpha. Yanhui got annoyed with little actions. it was one of the few traits the old and new souls shared.
Kai was indeed an annoying little shit. He acted all high and mighty before her which annoyed her alpha traits.
THINKING that Yanhui was an ordinary beta female he acted all high. Most alphas and omegas can sense the second gender of the people around them but betas could not detect pheromones.
Though Kai was an alpha he could produce alpha pheromones but was unable to sense them. It was a weird genetic condition called acute anosmia. due to this, he couldn't identify Yanhui's second gender.
As an alpha Yanhui hated the inferior actions of Kai which made her throw a fit eventually resulting in her kicking his ass and getting him in the hospital bed.
their bad blood continued as time flew now a Hui had to sign a contract with the CLs as their current security ensured by another party was quite weak.
Now as a part of the treaty, both Yansheng and Yanhui had to sign several documents on handing the security to the CLs. Yanhui was obviously against this idea but soon agreed when Yansheng convinced her. it was about their company's security and they couldn't take any risk. they signed away both the east and west wing's security tender to the CLS.
