--Lydia POV—
"To sum up, you saw this coyote, and your "alpha male" instinct activated by itself, so you started running after her."
"A werecoyote… hopefully"
"You may be right about her being supernatural, after all usually coyote stay in groups, don't have blue pupils and I'm quite sure they are not faster than your werelion form, last time we checked you could literally reach a speed of 80 Km/h."
I can't believe that I will share Thomas with a coyote. I had prepared myself for him wanting another girl, but just when I thought I was starting to accept the idea and I was ready for the revelation, this happens.
"Is it something like heat and pheromones?"
"I don't have an idea."
I'll look into this by myself, it would be dangerous if my boyfriend started being attracted by dogs in heat, I have one after all.
"So, what do we do now?" I asked.
"Well, while it may sound strange, I think that we had somewhat of an understanding when we looked into each other eyes. It's something like a competition if I catch her, she is mine"
"Had I heard this from anyone else, I would believe him to be a raper. So, what can I do to help you"
"I think I have to win her by myself, but you could help me come up with a plan or understand who she is as a human. More importantly are you sure about this?"
"Yes, I am. Coyote or not, I want this too"
"Ok, for now I'll try looking for her where I found her yesterday"
"I'll check what I can find online"
To think the time would have come for me to help my werelion boyfriend pick up a female werecoyote. The supernatural is really strange, but sex with Thomas might just make all this trouble worth it.
--MC POV--
I've been looking for her for about an hour, but I haven't had many results. All I found for now are some coyote's footprints, but I'm not even sure if they belong to the same coyote I'm looking for.
While looking around for traces I happened to see an overturned car, but as I got near it, I finally found her.
She came in front of me, and began growling, clearly wanting me to stop advancing.
Now, this would probably be an easy way to catch her since if I kept walking toward the car, she would probably attack me, but this wouldn't prove anything.
My final objective is conquering her and make her submit to me willingly, not catching her at the cost of her hatred.
"Ok I'll stop advancing, I'm here for you"
I'm not quite sure she understands my words, but she must have realized she is my objective.
So, she started running away and not wanting to make her doubt my intentions I follow her immediately.
After making sure I was following her she began raising her speed and just like yesterday I'm left behind.

"Failed this time too?"
I was in my girlfriend bedroom, and I had just used her shower to get off my body the sweat from the chase.
"Yes, she is really fast, even if I get more familiar with the forest, I doubt I would be able to reach her, I need a plan"
"For that we must first know more about the territory, I printed a map of the forest, where did you meet her?"
"Around here"
I say pointing to a location near a road, where I think I found the car.
"It's strange for her to stay near a road… could you draw the direction of the chase"
"I'm not that sure, but it should have been like this"
I don't remember that well, but I'm quite sure she first went this way and then started forming a curve and reached this river where I lost her.
After drawing the estimate, I passed the map to Lydia, who studied it for some second.
"Why would she turn this way? She is faster than you. Going to the right would have just helped you, it would have allowed you to shorten the road, by cutting off a part of the route."
"That's exactly what I did, and while I was able to shorten the distance I was still some meters behind her. She probably did so to not get so far away from her territory"
"Coyotes are not really territorial; they tend to not defend their territory"
"Are you sure when I first caught her, she seemed hell bent in getting me far away from… The car! It must be important for her"
"What car?" Asked Lydia.
"There was an overturned car, probably it went through a car wreck, a big one judging from its condition"
"So maybe if we look into this incident, we'll find out something"
Coming to this conclusion we started searching for news of car wrecks, in particular the ones that happened near the area, till Lydia found what we were looking for.
"Here it is! One mother and her two daughters died some years ago. The police found the car 3 days after the incident and the bodies, and the interior of the car were full of marks causes by a coyote. The body of one of the two girls, Malia Tate, was never found. It is believed that it was dragged away by said coyote."
"Or more probably the coyote is Malia herself, does it say when it happened?" I asked wanting to prove if my idea was right.
"Yes, it does why?"
Looking at the date I checked the full moon calendar of the year of the incident and as expected that night was a full moon.
"That night was a full moon; she probably turned into a werecoyote and caused the accident"
"But this happened years ago and there has been no further sighting of the girl, if what you say is correct, it would mean that…"
"She passed the last 7 years living as Coyote"
