It was very confusing.

Ezra recalled that Raphael had always been fussy and incessant in asking him to stay with him, so the reaction he currently had on his face was very different from what he had expected.

Turning to look straight ahead, the streetlights illuminated the road which further showed how close their car was to the villa area. Up to this point, after what he had said earlier, and after Raphael had replied like that, the man's attention seemed to be glued to the front, the frown that had appeared deeply earlier had disappeared. His face looked relaxed and expressionless, yet Ezra could not miss a tinge of coldness in his eyes.

What's wrong with what I just said?

I thought he would be happy after knowing my true feelings. I would not refuse him, I would not refuse his offer, even after this Ezra was thinking of visiting the Winchens' mansion with this man more often.
