Chapter 3: Chapter 3
Friday morning, zu was the first to wake up, and otashu could smell something cooking on the firepit. Getting up groggily, otashu would sit himself up in the tent they set up, opening the zipper to the tent he would be blinded by the sun, the gleams shining in his yellowish amber eyes, a golden tint lining his iris.
"Morning Suka, are you hungry? I made some bacon and eggs" Zu would shout up to Otashu, the tent being up on a hill in case of rain. "Yea, actually I am hungry" Otashu would reply, running down the hill, trying not to fall forward on his face, he would make it to the campfire. A folding chair would already be opened for him, sitting down zu would hand otashu of eggs and bacon.
"This looks delicious Zu!" Otashu would say as he took a spoon full of eggs on his fork, "Glad you like it Suka, I made 5 eggs, enough for seconds" Zu would say. "You want to go for a walk at noon Zu?" Otashu would question, "Nah, I'd rather stay here and hold the fort for a while" Zu would reply.
"Want to go fishing for a while at least?" Otashu would question yet again, "Alright, fine, as long as you stop asking questions suka" Zu would reply back, a calm tone in his voice.
They would both finish up eating, nothing left in the cast-iron pan but crumbs, zu would pour water into it. Steam would fly into the air from the heat of the pan, the mist dissipating into the calm winds. Walking to the car, they'd grab their fishing rods and headed to the lake. Being met by clear crystal blue waters, clear enough to see the blue sky and not a cloud in the sky.
Ferns would line the lakes sandy banks, birch and oak trees providing enough shade for a nice swim. Zu and Otashu would set up their gear, hook the bait on their rods and started fishing. Zu, being the first to catch something, shouted "I got something on, it's strong, bet we can have some fish tonight!" Zu would shout at Otashu excitedly.
