Chapter 26: Locked in with Lust: Zhang Wei's Inhuman Revenge

Madam Chi led her maid, Zhang Wei, and the guards through the busy streets of Flower Valley Town. The maid carried a box in her hand as they walked past various shops and a sea of people. Eventually, they came to a fork in the road. One path was crowded, while the other was nearly empty. They chose the less busy road and continued forward until they reached the end of the street. There, they found an old flower shop, and Madam Chi paused outside to address the group.

"Be on your best behavior and do not disturb anything," she warned them. "The person I am meeting is very important."

Everyone nodded in agreement as Madam Chi pushed open the store door and led the way inside. Once there, Zhang Wei noticed an old man sitting behind the counter with his eyes closed and snoring loudly. Madam Chi approached the counter and made a soft noise, causing the old man to open his eyes.

"Old Mister Qin, how are you doing?" Madam Chi greeted him.

"Oh, you have finally come," the old man replied. "It was very hard to cultivate these things. Many people have come to get them, but I declined everyone because I promised your husband."

"Thank you, Master Qin. The Chi family will remember your help," Madam Chi replied.

The old man nodded and stood up, opening a wooden door and leading them inside. Zhang Wei was stunned by what he saw on the other side of the door: a beautiful flower garden filled with different types of flowers, with the air thick with spiritual qi. He realized that the old man might be more than just an ordinary florist - he might be a true immortal fairy. This realization made Zhang Wei more cautious.

In the center of the flower field stood the old man. Madam Chi and the others approached him, and he pointed to a blue flower.

"This is the 'Blue Moon Starlight' that I have cultivated," he said. "See if the quality suits you."

Everyone, except for Zhang Wei, turned their heads toward the direction the old man was pointing to see a beautiful blue flower swaying in the wind, emitting a bright brilliance.

The "Blue Moon Starlight" flower stood tall, its stem slender and elegant, rising up towards the sky as if reaching for the stars. Its petals were a beautiful shade of blue, the color of the evening sky just as the sun was setting. Each petal was delicate and thin, yet sturdy enough to withstand the gentle breeze that blew through the garden.

As the wind picked up, the petals of the "Blue Moon Starlight" began to sway, their edges catching the light and reflecting it back in a dazzling display of beauty. The flower seemed almost ethereal in its beauty, as if it had been plucked straight from the pages of an Immortal Book, a thing of wonder and magic that was too perfect to be real.

"That's a beautiful flower," Madam Chi commented.

"Yes, it is. The 'Blue Moon Starlight' is a rare and precious flower. Its petals are said to possess healing properties. I have spent decades just to cultivate this one," the old man replied.

Madam Chi nodded in appreciation. "I'll take it. How much do you want for it?"

The old man paused for a moment before replying, "I don't want money. I only ask that you remember my kindness. In future I will ask your chi family to repay this kindness."

Madam Chi agreed with the old man's request. "Did you bring what I asked you to bring? Without it, this flower cannot be preserved at all," the old man asked eagerly.

Madam Chi nodded and signaled the maid to give her the box. The maid handed the box to Madam Chi, who opened it immediately. However, as soon as she opened it, her expression turned sour. She looked at the maid and asked, "Why is the box empty?"

The maid was frightened and looked inside the box. Indeed, it was empty. "Madam, I do not know how it became empty. I never opened the box. I put the box in your bag like you instructed," she hastily explained.

Madam Chi was furious. "I told you nothing should go wrong, and you messed up a very important thing. Look at how I'll deal with you when we return to the Chi Manor," she scolded the maid.

She wouldn't do anything to the maid during their journey as she still needed her services. But once they returned to the Chi family, the maid would face the consequences of her mistake.

Madam Chi turned towards the old man and said, "Master Qin, can you help us with this? It seems we don't have the Jade case."

"The Jade case is not a problem, but I do not have the spiritual spring drops with me," the old man replied. "In this mortal world, it is almost impossible to get them, and the little amount I had I used in cultivating this flower."

Madam Chi sighed helplessly and gave the maid an angry look. She then turned to the old man and said, "Okay, since nothing can be done, I hope the old master can keep the flower for a few more days. I will send my guards to bring the item."

The old man nodded and agreed to keep the flower for a few more days. Madam Chi thanked him again and left the shop, followed by Zhang Wei and the rest of the group, and returned to the manor.

When they reached the manor, Madam Chi ordered everyone to bring all the luggage and search everything thoroughly. Thankfully, Zhang Wei had hidden the Jade case yesterday, or he would have been caught today and punished severely, or even killed.

After finding nothing in anyone's luggage, Madam Chi had no choice but to order the guards to return to the Chi family and fetch the item. If they found nothing there too, they should ask her husband to arrange for another one.

The guards agreed and asked if two of them should stay behind to protect her. "No need. I will be fine here. You all go and remember to return as soon as possible," Madam Chi replied.

As the guards rode away, a sinister grin appeared on Zhang Wei's lips. Everything was going more smoothly than expected.

At night, while the servants in the manor were busy preparing food, Zhang Wei slipped into the kitchen and addressed them in a soft voice, "Madam's mood has been quite sour lately. Let me make her a dish that will lift her spirits." The servants, knowing Zhang Wei was Madam Chi's personal attendant, didn't dare to question him and let him proceed with his plan.

As Zhang Wei cooked, he surreptitiously added sleeping powders that he had obtained from the black market into the food. After the meal was served, Madam Chi and her maid sat down to eat. Zhang Wei watched as the maid's head hung low, red marks on her cheeks indicating that she had been slapped by Madam Chi. Nevertheless, everyone ate and Madam Chi was pleased to see that her loyal servant had prepared a special dish just for her. She thought to herself that Zhang Wei was still a reliable and sensible attendant.

Soon after, Madam Chi and her maid felt drowsy and retired to their room to rest. Zhang Wei took advantage of their slumber and went down to gather the servants. He announced, "Madam Chi wishes for you all to return to your homes and rest for the time being. She desires some quiet time in the manor, and I and her maid will attend to her needs. Until you are summoned, please do not return, and as a token of appreciation for your service over the past two days, each of you will receive a silver coin."

Initially, the servants were disappointed that they couldn't serve Madam Chi properly and were planning to beg for her forgiveness, but the promise of a silver coin without any work cheered them up, and they left the manor with smiles on their faces. After they left, Zhang Wei locked the main gate, ensuring that there were only three people left in the manor: Madam Chi, her maid, and himself. He had a month to execute his plan, and with no one to interfere, he was ready to put it into action.

Something inhuman is going to start tonight. For the whole journey he had cultivated regularly and lot of lust has been stored in his body. Now he can finally release all his inhuman desire and also have his revenge. As he ascended the stairs to Madam Chi's room, he couldn't help but smile sinisterly, relishing in the thought of what was to come.
