"You are, Miyamoto-san...?"
"M-Mercer-kun..."
The girl had been sobbing, hugging her knees in the middle of a dark park, just what is going on with her?
"Could I sit?" I asked her and she nodded.
"If you need someone to share something to... you can share it with me now, it might help you feel better..."
"I didn't know you're the listening type, Mercer-kun".
"Brand is okay, and well... you lot didn't even bother talking to me so-"
"I'm sorry... after you beat up those guys well, we got to hear the rumours about you in primary school and well... it was better to keep our distance" she explained to me, afraid that I'd look at her with a wrong eye.
I understand their motives, but... I still look at her with the wrong eye, if it even comes to it that I have to give my back to you, I'd rather give my back to Yuuki Miku who at least is openly toxic instead of someone that will push me away for their own benefit.
We may be friends, but you won't be in my group any time soon.
"So? what's wrong with you? does it have anything to do with Komuro?" I sat down, crossed my legs and asked her with intrigue, must be some high school drama.
"What would it involve that idiot!? hmph!"

I know who it is, that bastard is quite manipulative, he might be able to convince others but I have seen his lot several times, he doesn't try that with me though, he knows I'm going to knock the fuck out of him if he tries... moreover, he must also be one of the few who knows who my parents are and how powerful they hold.
A mere call to my mother is what I need to get him fired. The thing is, how much would this favour cost me? mother would surely ask something outrageous.
"I see, do you think he's treating you unfairly?"
"I just... I think he's being biased but don't know the reason, if this keeps going on, I may drop a year... my parents would be disappointed..." Her concerns were genuine high school kids' concerns.
"Well, I could try and help you with this, you know I live with Marikawa-sensei, she's my representative" I suggested, there is little that Shizuka can do in this situation, but at least she can know if that teacher is indeed picking up on Rei or she's just being childish.
"Yes, I-I heard..."
"Why are you looking at me that way?" She was looking at me as if I'm some sort of molester.
"It is kinda sus... you live with the girl that's the wet dreams of every guy in school, nothing has happened between you two?"
"Nothing at all. Anyway, I'm heading to the supper, wanna come along?"
"What are you getting?"
"Some marshmallows for Marikawa-sensei..."
"I see, then I'll tag along".
"Now, about the other problem, I guess it has to do with Komuro not confessing to you yet and therefore, making you uncomfortable and depressed, right?"

"Do you think no one in the class has noticed?"
"No way... is it that obvious?!"
"It is".
"Y-Yes, that idiot... if only he had more balls, like you, Brand-kun... but he doesn't seem to notice what I feel for him, instead... Hisashi-kun..."
"Rei, you should do what is best for you" that's all I said.
I know Takagi told me to help Takashi but... if the boy doesn't have the balls and Hisashi is moving forward, why should I help Takashi? so far I don't have a good opinion of one or the other. What matters in this world is not who is better, but instead... who has more determination. If that Hisashi-kun is willing to move forward to be with her, then let him be.
So far he doesn't look like a douchebag to me... his grades are good and he is quite sporty compared to Takashi who is more of a sloth that sleeps in class, I'm not a saint but even I can tell Hisashi is better.
In any case, I'm not telling her to follow either of them, I only told her to follow what's best for her.
Rei looked at me silently and nodded, we went to supper, I got us some Takoyaki, bought Shizuka's marshmallows and then I dropped her on the bus towards her home, she was smiling, feeling much better.

"That... Monday?" I smiled, clearly, I hadn't thought about having any date with her.
"Brand-chan... you have school on Monday and I have part-time..." She pouted towards me, realising right away that I didn't have anything planned.
"I mean, Monday evening?" I fixed it.
"Where?" She frowned at me scrutinizingly.
"I will sort something out..."
"And you expect me to just accept my boyfriend going out with some other girls on dates? even if I said we have to wait until you're an adult... B-Brand-chan, aren't you satisfied with me?" She was about to sob, this woman, I know you don't want to sob at all! you're just playing with me!
I rolled my eyes and beaconed her to come, she smirked and embraced me.
"Are you going to cheat on Onee-chan?"
"It is just a date, Shizuka..."
"What do you mean 'just' a date, naughty boy!?"
Maybe I'm indeed downplaying it but it is not like I'm going to even kiss them or grasp their hands lewdly, it is just going out to have fun, it can't even be considered a date. If Takagi and Saeko were friends, I wouldn't even mind taking the two of them out at the same time, but they're not acquainted.
"Anyway, Shizuka, you will allow me to, don't you?" I embraced her and delivered a few pecks on her lips, if she can act spoiled, so can I, in fact... I hold the upper hand here, she is more in love with me than I'm with her.
"I have a condition..." She stated, evading my gaze.
"Hmn?"
