Chapter 25: "The Merging"

The night sky was a canvas of inky blackness, punctuated by the faint twinkle of distant stars. The world was bathed in a shroud of darkness, like a veil had been drawn over the land.

The ruins of buildings loomed over the streets, their jagged edges reaching up towards the heavens like silent sentinels. The broken windows reflected the eerie glow of the burning city, casting long, twisted shadows across the ground.

As the group cautiously made their way through the streets as normal they felt a strange sensation, as if the earth itself was calling out for help. It was as if something deep within their very being had been ripped out, leaving them feeling exposed and vulnerable.

Their sense of unease grew stronger as they looked up at the sky. What they saw was both terrifying and awe-inspiring, a sight that they would never forget for the rest of their lives.

The reality itself was being torn apart, and they could see glimpses of things that they had never imagined possible. The sky crackled with vibrant colors, ranging from the deepest reds to the brightest blues, like a canvas painted by the gods themselves.

Stars that were normally only visible through telescopes blazed overhead, like red giants and white dwarfs colliding in a dazzling display of light and energy. Black holes lurked in the distance, like great maws waiting to swallow everything in their path.

The sky was a wonderland of weird colored matter and energy, as if the universe was trying to show off its incredible power and beauty. They watched as comets streaked across the sky, leaving long, shimmering trails of stardust in their wake.

Pluto, once a distant and unremarkable planet, exploded in a brilliant flash of light, its fragments shooting out like fireworks against the dark canvas of space.

And yet, despite the chaos and destruction happening in the sky above them, the group felt a strange sense of calm. It was as if some mysterious force was protecting them, shielding them from harm and guiding them through this surreal experience.

As they watched in awe, they couldn't help but feel humbled by the sheer majesty and power of the universe. It was a reminder that they were just small, insignificant beings in a vast and infinite cosmos, and that there was so much more to existence than they could ever hope to comprehend.

Just as they thought things couldn't get any crazier, something unbelievable happened. In the midst of the chaos in the sky, a gigantic hand suddenly appeared, ripping space apart as if it were nothing.

The hand was so massive that the bizarre sights they had just witnessed in the sky seemed like nothing more than a tiny speck in comparison. The fingers were so long that they could not even see their ends.

As they watched in horror, the withered, damaged hand grabbed space and everything came to a stop.

The explosions, the dazzling colors, the exploding planets, and other weird phenomena all ceased to exist. Before Asher could even utter a word to his friends Andrew and Hannah, he discovered to his horror that he couldn't move an inch, not even his facial expression changed a bit.

Another withered, damaged hand appeared in space, and this hand also grabbed, as if trying to mold a snowball with the galaxies as snow.

The withered hands continued to form a perfect ball with the galaxies as snow, until the entire universe was held within its grasp.

Suddenly, a loud sigh filled the air, and a voice spoke directly into their minds, "Hmm, this is the most I can do for you, my children." The being's words resonated within them, imbuing a sense of ancient wisdom and power.

As they listened, the voice continued, "So many lives in these tiny galaxies, but do not be afraid. I shall give everyone an equal chance." The being chuckled, its laughter echoing throughout the cosmos.

Asher pondered on the being's words, feeling a strange sensation in his body. His mind buzzed, and he felt the being's power coursing through him. The sensation was overwhelming, and Asher instinctively tried to cover his ears. The pain was so intense that he closed his eyes and clutched his head, hoping it would stop.

The buzzing subsided, leaving Asher feeling as though he had been transported to an entirely different realm. When he dared to open his eyes, he was struck with awe. His eyes widened and his mouth hung agape in disbelief, for he found himself in a world so vastly different from his own.
