Chapter 23: Civil War (1)
Hyperion was flying at supersonic speeds breaking the sound barrier. He is wearing civilian clothes consisting of a black shirt, pants, boots and a coat. He is on his way to the Avengers Compound to check on everybody. He landed in front of the entrance and walked in.
Jasmine: "Hyperion?"
Hyperion: "Jasmine. What's going on here?"
Jasmine: "Well, to tell you the truth. Everything has gone to shit."
Hyperion: "That bad, huh?"
Jasmine: "Yup."
Hyperion: "Where are the others?"
Jasmine: "Cap went out with Sam. Pietro, said he's going somewhere. Me, Wanda and Vision are the only ones here."
Hyperion: "Where is Wanda?"
Jasmine: "In her room. Come on."
Jasmine led Hyperion through the halls and into the lounge area connected to the kitchen. As they walked there he saw Vision cooking something in the kitchen as he greeted the Eternal once he saw him.
Vision: "Hyperion. It's good to see you looking so well."
Hyperion: "You too Vision."
Wanda walked out of her room and saw Hyperion. She smiled and gave the Eternal a hug which Hyperion returned in kind.
Wanda: "I missed you."
Hyperion: "Sorry If I haven't been visiting lately. I got caught up with something."
Wanda: "It's alright. I'm just happy to see you again."
Hyperion: "You too kid."
Wanda then noticed Vision who was cooking and smelled it.
Wanda: "Is that paprikash?"
Vision: "I thought it might....lift your spirits."
She smiled and grabbed a spoon before tasting Vision's cooking.
Wanda: "Spirits lifted."
Vision: "In my defense, I haven't actually ever.....eaten anything before."
Hyperion: "Well you don't need to, Vision."
Wanda: "May I?"
Vision: "Please."
Hyperion: "I'm leaving you two with what you are doing."
Hyperion walked away as Wanda and Vision talked with each other. Jasmine followed Hyperion as she told him everything that has happened.
Hyperion: "So because of this Accords thing, everyone is split on different sides?"
Jasmine: "Yeah. I'm still TBD (To Be Determined). I can't decide whether to sign or not."
Hyperion: "We can't really do anything about it now. It's 117 countries who agreed."
Jasmine: "What about you? Are you gonna sign?"
Hyperion: "You mentioned Ross deemed me as a threat since no one can stop me. Then it's going to be a no."
Hyperion stood back and went for the exit as Jasmine sighed. She is still conflicted on whether to sign or not. Hyperion got out of the compound and flew back to Korea to talk with Helen.
He was back in their house cooking something for Helen when she appeared looking distressed.
Helen: "Honey, you need to see this."
Helen turned on the TV as a news channel appeared. Hyperion turned off the stove and walked towards Helen standing beside her. He saw on the news Steve, Sam and Bucky getting arrested with someone else.
Hyperion: "This is not good."
Helen: "Go. They need you."
Hyperion: "Are you sure?"
Helen: "I am. Don't worry. I'll be here when you get back and plus, I'm working on something that I don't want you to see yet."
Hyperion: *chuckle* "If you say so."
Helen: "Hey, they are your family. Go."
Hyperion nodded and grabbed his coat before flying off to Berlin. We see Bucky being restrained in a cube-like prison inside an armored truck. Steve, Sam and T'Challa are sitting across from each other inside an SUV in their civilian clothes as the SUV drove in front of the armored truck. It was a silent ride until Sam broke the silence with a question.
Sam: "So, you like cats?"
Steve: "Sam."
Sam: "What? Dude shows up dressed like a cat and you don't wanna know more?"
Steve just shook his head as he turned towards T'Challa who also turned towards the Super soldier.

Steve: "Your suit... it's Vibranium?"
T'Challa: "The Black Panther has been the protector of Wakanda for generations. A mantle, passed from warrior to warrior. And now, because your friend murdered my father, I also wear the mantle of king. So, I ask you.... as both a warrior and a king.... how long do you think you can keep your friend safe from me?"
They stopped as the cube like prison Bucky was in is being lifted by a forklift. Nearby, Steve got out of the SUV and glanced at Bucky who didn't notice him. Sam and T'challa got out and followed Steve who approached Sharon with someone.

Steve: "What's gonna happen to him?"
Everett: "Same thing that ought to happen to you. Psychological evaluation and extradition."
Sharon: "This is Everett Ross, Deputy Task Force Commander."
Steve: "What about our lawyer?"
Everett: "Lawyer. That's funny. See their weapons are placed in lockup. Oh, we'll write you a receipt."
Sam: "I better not look out the window and see anybody flying around in that."
They walked on a covered sidewalk as Steve took one last glance at Bucky who met his eyes.
Everett: "You'll be provided with an office instead of a cell. Now do me a favor and stay in it."
T'challa: "I don't intend on going anywhere."
They heard thrusters going off in the air and saw someone trying Sam's wing suit making the guy wide eyes.
Sam: "What did I just say?!"
Everett was about to call the guy who was using Sam's wing suit when they heard a loud sonic boom as someone snatched the guy from the air as a loud thud landed on the open. Soldiers immediately took action as they aimed their guns at the cloud of smoke.
Once the smoke disappeared, they froze in fear of who they saw. They started to shake as the guy with the wing suit met the Ultimate Eternal's gaze who lifted him up in the air without effort.
Hyperion: "It's bad that you are using something that is not even yours. Now put that back where it was before."
He nodded frantically as Hyperion dropped him on the floor as he panicked and ran away. Hyperion looked around at the multiple soldiers aiming their guns at him as he just walked towards Steve.
Sam: "Is that who I think it is."
Steve: "Yeah."
Hyperion: "Steve."
Steve: "Mark. It's good to see you again."
Hyperion nodded as he turned towards Sharon.
Hyperion: "I'm sorry about Peggy. You have my condolences."
Sharon: "Thank you."
Everett: "I was wondering where you went. The strongest of the Avengers suddenly disappeared and appeared out of nowhere, just like that."
Hyperion just stared at him among Everett nervous as he coughed out loud to break the tension.
Everett: "R-Right this way please."
As they walk in, they are met with Natasha who walked beside them surprised to see Hyperion there.
Natasha: "I'm surprised to see you here."
Hyperion: "No need to explain everything Nat. I already know."
Natasha: "For the record, this is what makes things worse."
Steve: "He's alive."
They walked inside the office to see Tony there talking on the phone. Hyperion sat on a chair as he kept quiet for now.
Natasha: "Try not to break anything while we fix this."
Tony: *on the phone* "Consequences? You bet there'll be consequences. Obviously you can quote me on that 'cause I just said it. Anything else? Thank you sir."
Steve: "Consequences?"
Tony: "Secretary Ross wants you both prosecuted. Had to give him something. Hey old man. It's been awhile."
Hyperion only gave him a nod as Tony sighed not liking where this is going.
Steve: "I'm not getting the shield back, am I?"
Natasha: "Technically, it's the government's property. Wings, too."
Sam: "That's cold."
Tony: "Warmer than jail."
.....
It's been awhile now and Hyperion was in front of Bucky's cell. Hyperion knocked on it a couple of times until Bucky looked up.
Hyperion: "I didn't believe it when Steve told me you were still alive a few years ago. How are you doing Buck?"
Bucky: "I-I'm sorry but I don't recognize you."
Hyperion: "I understand. Hydra did something to you. I just came to check on you. See you later. And don't worry, I know you didn't do it."
Hyperion walked out of the room as he was about to bump into someone but stopped. He saw it was two men but he noticed that the other one was larger and muscular.
Hyperion: "Sorry about that."
The smaller man only nod as he walked away followed by the larger one. Hyperion turned to stare at them before continuing his way towards where the others are. Upon walking in, he saw Steve and Tony talking in front of the monitors that showed Bucky.
Steve: "What about Wanda?"
Tony: "She's fine. She's confined to the compound alongside Jasmine. Vision's keeping her company. We don't know where Pietro went though."
Hyperion: "You're locking Wanda at the Compound?"
Tony: "Look Pops. It's a 100 acres with a lap pool. It's got a screening room. There are worse ways to protect people."
Steve: "Protection? Is that how you see this? This is protection? It's internment, Tony."
Tony: "She's not a US citizen."
Steve: "Oh come on, Tony."
Tony: "And they don't grant visas to weapons of mass destruction."
Hyperion: "She's just a kid Tony and what about me? I'm probably the most dangerous being on this planet right now."
Tony: "Look Old man! I'm doing what has to be done....to stave off something worse."
Hyperion only shook his head as he walked out to cool off. These Accords are giving him a headache. Steve put down the pen he was holding as he turned to Tony.
Steve: "You keep telling yourself that. Hate to break the set."
He walked out following Hyperion as Tony sighed and watched Bucky on one of the monitors. We see the same men Hyperion almost bump into waiting for the elevator as the smaller man known as Baron Helmut Zemo turned towards his companion.

Zemo: "Just like I told you. Guard the elevator. Don't let anyone through. Remember what we talked about."
The larger man nodded as Zemo went inside the elevator and arrived at where Bucky was being restrained.
Zemo: "Hello Mr.Barnes. I've been sent by the United Nations to evaluate you. Do you mind if I sit? Your first name is James?"
While Hyperion, Steve and Sam were sitting inside an office with Sharon.
Sharon: "The receipt for your gear."
Sam: "Bird costume? Come on."
Hyperion: "You do look like a bird when you have that thing on."
Sharon: "See? The big guy agrees and besides, I didn't write it."
Sharon pushed a button which stops the audio restrictions from Bucky's evaluation.
Zemo: "I'm not here to judge you. I just want to ask you a few questions. Do you know where you are, James? I can't help you if you don't talk to me, James."
Bucky: "My name is Bucky."
Hyperion is looking at some pictures with Steve as they stare at a blurry photo of the man who bombed the congress in Vienna.
Steve: "Why would the Task Force release this photo to begin with?"
Hyperion: "It looks so scripted. Like they wanted to blame it on Bucky on purpose so that they will come after him and capture him."
Sharon: "So you're saying..."
Steve: "The one who's behind all this.....is probably here."
Hyperion then remembered the two men from earlier as he turned his gaze towards the screen.
Zemo: "Tell me, Bucky. You've seen a great deal, haven't you?"
Bucky: "I don't want to talk about it."
Zemo: "You fear that....if you open your mouth, the horrors might never stop. Don't worry."
He then gets a message on the tablet he is using. It says "Package delivered".
Zemo: *We only have to talk about one."
That's when the whole facility's electricity went out as the emergency lights turned on with a red hue.
Everett: "Great, come on guys, get my eyes on Barnes. Go!"
Tony: "FRIDAY, give me the source of the outage."
Inside the office, everyone looked around as Sharon approached them.
Sharon: "Sub-level 5. East wing."
The three nodded as they bolted out of the room with Hyperion breaking down the door by accident.
Hyperion: "You guys go ahead. The guy who's responsible for this is not alone."
Steve: "Got it. Let's go Sam."
Sam: "Are you sure he'll be alright?"
Steve: "He isn't called the strongest for nothing."
Hyperion traverses the hallways and retraces his footsteps to where the elevator is located to Bucky's room. When he arrived there, he saw the tall man from earlier.
Hyperion: "So, you're with the one who is responsible for all of this."
???: "Whatever you're about to do, it won't work."
The man took off his coat to reveal a sleeveless black shirt with a scarlet W on it. His clenched his hand into a fist as his fists crackled with energy.

Hyperion: "You're not a normal human, are you?"
???: "I have no choice."
Hyperion: "We always have a choice."
???: "He made me into this so I'm grateful to him and if I don't listen, he won't give me the cure!"
Hyperion: "A cure for what?"
???: "Enough!"
The man lunged at Hyperion and punched him square on the face sending the Eternal through multiple walls and sending him outside of the facility. Hyperion hit an armored truck crushing from the force. The man landed in front of the Eternal with a crash and started to pummel Hyperion with powerful blows that caused shockwaves.
???: "I've heard of you from the news. The so-called Strongest of the Avengers. The Sun God. Well, you can call me Wonder Man."
Wonder Man went for another punch but Hyperion caught his fist as the force and power of the punch rippled through the air. Hyperion slowly pushes his fist back making Wonder Man grit his teeth trying to put more power into it.
Hyperion: "Then I'll show you why they call me the strongest."
With a punch, the Eternal sent the superpowered being flying into the air. Hyperion bent down before blasting off leaving behind a destroyed concrete floor as he chased after a barrelling Wonder Man. Once Wonder Man was finally able to stop himself, he was met by another punch to the face that blew away the clouds.
Wonder Man gritted his teeth as he rolled in kid air before flying towards Hyperion who did the same. They met in the middle as the two beings collided fists together creating a shockwave that blew away more clouds. Hyperion was a lot stronger as it pushed back Wonder Man. He charged at him tackling Wonder Man and as the two crashed back on the ground in the middle of the road leaving a crater.
As the dust cleared, we see Hyperion holding him down by the head face first inside the crater as Wonde Man struggled to even get out of the hold from the Ultimate Eternal.
Hyperion: "Stand down."
Wonder Man let out a roar before elbowing Hyperion on his side making the Eternal let go of him. Wonder Man then turned around and aimed his fists at Hyperion blasting him with pure energy. Hyperion the blast came as he crossed his arms to block it but its power was strong enough to send him out of the crater.
He landed on the asphalt road as he skid to a stop. Wonder Man flew up and blasted him again but this time, the energy blast shot out from Wonder Man's eyes. Hyperion weaved around the beams as he punched Wonder Man out of the city to avoid casualties. He chased after Wonder Man and delivered more brutal attacks pushing back the superpowered being.
In terms of Strength and Combat Ability, Hyperion is leagues above his enemy. He could tell that Wonder Man just got his abilities and has no combat experience. He would wildly swing at Hyperion who just easily dodge and retaliate. Wonder Man let out another Optic Blast but Hyperion countered by using his Atomic Vision.
The two beams collided as a beam struggle occurred. Wonder Man used everything at his disposal trying to overpower Hyperion's Atomic Vision but the Ultimate Eternal proved himself to be superior as he put more power into his attack finally overpowering Wonder Man's. The beam hit Wonder Man as he screamed from the pain. He looked down on his chest to see it smoking as he didn't see the charging Hyperion with a cocked fist.
Once Hyperion got close, his fist flew forward like a speeding bullet punching through Wonder Man's body. His fist went through Wonder Man as the superpowered being gasp in shock. Hyperion raised an eyebrow of what he just witnessed. There was NO blood.
Wonder Man slowly looked up at the Eternal as his eyes glowed a light purple hue as sparks of energy surrounded his body. Wonder Man let out one final scream as he exploded in pure energy. The explosion was heard from miles away. Hyperion crashed in the forest area below where they were fighting as a trench was created from his landing as it also uprooted a few trees. He got back up like it was nothing as he saw his clothes were ripped and had burn marks on them.
He flew up and tried to find where Wonder Man is after that explosion only to find nothing.
Hyperion: "Better head back to the facility."
He flew back to the facility to only find Steve, Sam and Bucky are missing. He landed outside the facility where Tony and Natasha are seen talking to each other.
Tony: "Where have you been old man? We could have used your help."
Hyperion: "Well I just fought another superhuman. I could only guess that he is with the person who is responsible for all of this mess."
Natasha: "What's with superpowered beings lately. Having you is already enough."
Hyperion: "You have no idea how many more are out there."
Tony: "So what are you gonna do now?"
Hyperion: "I'm putting a stop to this before it gets worse."
Tony: "I can't change your mind, can I?"
Hyperion: "You know too well, boy. You can't make me sign the Accords when everyone already sees me as more of a threat than the Hulk."
Tony: "Think about it pops.."
Hyperion: "It's still a no."
Hyperion shot off into the air leaving behind a gust of wind that pushed Tony and Natasha back a bit. Natasha can only sigh not wanting to face off against Hyperion if it really comes to that.
Natasha: "So what do we do now Stark?"
Tony: "First, we need to find where Cap is. And I'll be picking someone up."
