Cai Houping also came to a sudden halt and grinned at Liu Yong,
and said,

Cai's confident and casual demeanour suggested that he was aware of his reputation and was proud of it. His smile indicated that he was pleased to have caught Liu's attention and was eager to see his reaction.
It appeared that Cai was trying to assert dominance and gauge Liu's recognition and respect for his street reputation.
Sensing that Cai Houping had ill intentions and was known for his fraudulent street activities, Liu Yong cautiously shook his head. He didn't want to get into trouble for himself without a valid reason. Liu's cautiousness and desire to avoid conflicts led him to leave the situation and move on.
He didn't want to engage with someone with having notorious reputation who might cause him harm. Liu's decision to leave demonstrated his intelligence and ability to assess and avoid dangerous situations.
Liu Yong's thought:
" It's not that I'm scared of Cai Houping. We're both alone here, so why should I feel intimidated by him? I have no reason to be afraid of him. "

Liu couldn't decide to part with his money, especially not with someone like Cai, who had no intention of paying it back.
Liu Yong's mind spun quickly, and suddenly he had an idea.

" Old Hu, why are you here? I was about to call you! "
Liu Yong said, pretending that his friend Hu was coming behind Cai Houping

However, everything just went the opposite.

Cai said in complete astonishment.
