"Is Murakumogiri, Father's weapon, really broken?" Marco's eyes widened like a bull's eyes as he witnessed the events unfolding before him.
He knew that dealing with Solo and his navy was no easy task, but he never expected Solo to effortlessly crush Murakumogiri, the weapon of Whitebeard himself.
You see, that weapon is one of the 12 Supreme Grade swords., known as the sharpest blade in the seas. And what's more, in that strike just now, Whitebeard infused it with his Conqueror's Haki and the power of the Tremor-Tremor Fruit!
Unbelievable.
Marco's mind went blank for a moment, and the rest of the Whitebeard Pirates were equally shocked. The defeat of Vista and Diamond Jozu by Solo had already shaken their hopes, and now, Whitebeard himself was facing defeat.
If Whitebeard loses to Solo here...
Not only would their chances of rescuing Ace disappear, but escaping from this situation entirely would become an impossible task. None of them knew what to do.
Within the inner square of Marineford, a sense of despair started to spread, dampening the morale of the Whitebeard Pirates.
"Good job, Solo," Aokiji said as he glanced in Solo's direction. Though surprised by the outcome, he considered it good news for the Marines.
The powerful Whitebeard was being suppressed by Solo, and if things went well, they could seize this opportunity to defeat Whitebeard and secure victory in the war.
"It can't be true, Murakumogiri, Whitebeard's weapon, is really broken?" murmured one marine, bewildered by the sight.
"Who the hell is that Marine Soldier, and how can he be so strong?" Another chimed in, "It's already incredible that he defeated Whitebeard, but to break his weapon as well..."
"This guy must have the strength of an Admiral, right?" someone speculated, and the talk among the marines continued. They began to realize the power of Solo, comparing him to the likes of Akainu, Kizaru, and Aokiji.
Meanwhile, Borsalino, who guarded the execution platform, quickly took notice of the situation. Shocked to the core, he realized that Solo's strength could rival even Akainu's.
Having joined the Marines alongside Akainu and being recognized as his disciple by Zephyr, Borsalino was well aware of his mentor's power. Yet, even Akainu struggled against Whitebeard, let alone defeat him.
To think that this unknown marine rookie could not only hold his ground against Whitebeard but also break his weapon...
The contrast was astonishing!
In the midst of all this, Solo faced Whitebeard head-on, and the battle seemed to tip in Solo's favor. The Whitebeard Pirates, even Ace, Sengoku, and Garp on the execution platform, were dumbfounded by Solo's display. Blocking Whitebeard's attack alone was already shocking enough, but now Solo shattered his Murakumogiri.
Garp couldn't help but gasp, "No one has ever done anything like this before."
He recalled his younger days when he witnessed the fierce battles between Whitebeard and Roger. They were evenly matched, and there was never a clear winner. And yet, never had he seen anyone shatter Whitebeard's weapon as Solo just did.
"How much strength is this brat hiding?" Garp wondered, feeling that Solo might have surpassed his own abilities as a youth.
Ace and Sengoku had contrasting reactions. Ace was filled with the urge to rush down from the execution platform and confront
Solo, the monstrous swordsman. Meanwhile, Sengoku felt a surge of excitement, as if he had glimpsed the dawn of victory.
"Whitebeard," Sengoku said, "despite having the power to shake the world, he is old and gravely ill. His physical strength is his greatest weakness. Even Solo doesn't need to defeat him outright. Just holding him back will greatly impact the battle. And in doing so, it's highly likely that Whitebeard's illness will resurface."
Sengoku cleared his throat, emphasizing the significance of Whitebeard's recurring illness. Without proper medical treatment, it was bound to happen again.
At that moment, Solo had no intentions of prolonging the battle until Whitebeard's illness recurred. He had already engaged Whitebeard, and he didn't want to leave any room for regret.
"I'm here to defeat you once and for all," Solo declared, his voice low. "Whitebeard, your era has come to an end. Your ship is no more!"
With those words, Solo swung his hand, and his blade ignited into a sea of flames. He directed this fiery onslaught toward Whitebeard as if he intended to engulf him completely.
The intense heat and overwhelming force sent shockwaves through the area, visibly affecting Whitebeard himself.
