Chapter 2: Tired Raven

Stabbing his hand into my wound, he says. "That wound of yours, we should check it out." Signaling me to follow him. I hold my shoulder, still tense from the pain. I see him walking away

"Wait!" Running after him, we walk through the warehouse. The metal stairs screech beneath each step we take.

Trying to break the silence, I ask. "I think you didn't tell me your name, Mr?"

"Raven, My name is Raven, And I can guess that Ken isn't your full name either." Nodding my head, I tell him that my full name is Kenjiro Koichi, Written as Yellow and alone.

Stopping in his tracks, the man now named Raven looks at me. "You're named Yellow Loneliness? Damn, your family had to have it rough." Opening the door to a dusty office, the smell of old wood fills my nose.

"Why do you live here? It smells like a pawnshop!" Pointing at a couch, he tells me to stop crying and show him the shoulder. Doing as he says, he brings out an old-looking medkit.

"You don't plan to use that old thing... right?" Not saying anything he opens it, and I already see a tool with rust on it. Grabbing what looks like normal scissors, he says.

"Take off the shirt, I'll get the bullet out." Shaking my head, I tell him that I think it can stay. Snapping his fingers, he makes a small flaming ball. "I either burn the shirt off, or you're taking it off."

*Gulp* Swallowing in my nervousness, I pull my shirt off.

Pushing the scissors inside the bullet wound. He moves them lightly and slowly. Barely realizing that he's already done, I ask. "That... didn't hurt?"

Throwing the bullet onto a metal plate, he gives me a weak nod. "It's called practice."

"Practice? Who are you anyway? And why did my attackers leave upon seeing you?"

Putting his scissors down, he walks behind a desk. "Not important, instead, I think it's more important for you to leave, Ken. This my house, I'm not a charity." Signaling me to a window, I look at him confused.

"You.... want me to jump out of the window?" Nodding his head, I get up and walk to the door. "I'll use the normal way out." Trying to grab the handle, I see it turn to ice.

"What the?" Turning to the long-haired man, I hear. "Just because they left you alone hear doesn't mean they aren't waiting outside." Now seeing where this is going, he points to the window.

"Thanks, Mr. Raven!" Getting a running start, I see the man's eyes go wide a plates. "Ken, no!" Jumping through the window, the glass shatters around me and I fall down two stories. Landing in the trash bags, I smile at the now mad man named Raven.

"Why couldn't you just open the window!? And what are you waiting for?! They heard you!"

Nodding my head, I scramble to my feet. Starting to run into the alleys, I fix the blade to my side. Sprinting through the alley, I feel the shoulder drag behind my body.

Maybe running after being shot and falling through a roof wasn't a good idea.

Running outside the alley into the main street. I duck under a swinging pipe. Seeing the masked attacker, I jump away. Unsheathing the sword with my good hand, I strike.

The attacker watches as the spinning sword begins to take on a new form. Like a jumping wolf, the wolf-like sword digs into the attacker's arm.

Screaming in pain, the sword gets stuck in like a feral beast's teeth. Trying to shake me off, I twist the sword and pull his arm off. Falling to the ground he yells at me to get away.

"No need to say twice." Seeing his buddies catch up, I try to run away. Bumping into a tall man, I recognize his bloody golden mask. I recognize him as the man that attacked our Dojo!

"Ken, right?"

Nodding my head, he smiles. Reaching into his pocket, I jump back only to stop. Dropping pieces of the bloody broken blade, he smiled. "Your master squirmed like a worm when my hands gut around his neck.

Breathing heavily, I look at the bloody pieces of metal. Looking back up, I suddenly see the masked giant in front of me. Slamming his hand into the ground where I stood, I look on in horror.

"I almost got turned into a pancake." Seeing his arm fly at me again, I almost froze.

Rolling over my bad shoulder, I tense in pain. Swinging his fist at me, I jump to my feet. Bringing my sword down on his arm, it bounces off like I just hit a metal sheet.

"Malkuth!" Cursing, as the masked giant is unsurprisingly a body trainer. I get punched in my stomach and thrown into a wall. Seeing the giant walk over, I hear him mock. "An you're the inner disciple? Don't make me laugh, you're capable of nothing!" Kicking my chest, I feel the ribs shatter inside me.

Gasping for air, he picks up my sword. "The lady had enough of your antics. It's time to end it." Raising it above my head, I see the sword swing down. Closing my eyes, I wait for the sharp pain of the blade stabbing my body..... but instead, nothing happens.

Opening my eyes, I see a black and white streak almost like tails standing above me. It's Raven, with a long spear made out of ice. He stopped the sword and dug into the giant's neck.

"You're not ending anything. He's with me now, James." Looking the giant in the eyes, I see him snap my blade in half. "Be careful Raven, you're no longer the big shot you used to be." Stepping on the broken blade, I hear it crack like fine glass.

Pushing the ice into his neck, I saw it. Blood. Not even my sword managed to break his skin, yet a piece of ice managed to draw blood!

The golden mask-wearing giant named James, Signals his men, to lower their guards and leave. Turning back to look at me, he spits on the ground before leaving.

Seeing Raven above me, I try to ask questions, but he just signals me to stay silent.

Trying to ask what he means by that, I start to feel cold, and before I knew it. Ice wrapped around my shattered chest. Lifting my head to Raven, I meet his eyes. Feeling the cold creep up on my face, I try to yell, but...

The world goes black for me.
