Chapter 45: Chapter 45: Shockwaves
"Can you tell me the situation here?" asked Kurono.
"Yes yes. We are hunting some Xiangliu Alien. However, we were unable to go find them, as these oversized wolves are hunting us." explained Yufei. "By the way, why is a Japanese Gantz Fighter is here?"
"No time to explain that. Tell me how many of you are still alive?"
"Other than me, there are six more people in my team. However, those guys..." Yufei lowered her head at this moment. Just now, her teammates abandoned her to die here. However, she hurriedly calmed down and continued. "There are two others who liked to do the mission all alone. These two are the strongest out of all of us. They should be already on the way to kill the Xiangliu."
"Alright. Let's go and find the others."
After that, Kurono took her in his arm, and jumped up.
"Wha...what are you doing...ah!"
Yufei was surprised by his sudden action. After that, she was stunned to see that the guy who carrying her was flying in the sky.
"This should be easier for us to find your teammates."
"He...hey, is this one of the suit ability?"
"Nope. This is my abilities. Psychokinesis powers. You have heard about it, right?"
"Psychokinesis? Is not that just something that was mentioned in comic book? Is it even possible to use such powers?"
'If I tell you that we are currently inside a comic books drawn by Hiroya Oku, will you believe me?' asked Kurono silently. If he said that, the girl will be unable to believe it. She might said that there must be something wrong with his head.
Kurono then said, "I'm using it you know. What you don't believe me? Let's teach you this power then."
Kurono then used his psychic powers to change Yufei's brain, so that she have the affinity to practice Psychokinesis.
"Okay. I already made some changes to your brain. Now, you should be able to learn psychic powers. Here, try moving this thing using your mind." said Kurono, handing her a thread.
Yufei was still in too much shock. She just experienced almost getting bitten to death by a wolf. So, asking her to suddenly learn something was somewhat hard for her. However, she still followed after Kurono's instructions.
While she was trying to do her new task, Kurono saw some people in the front, trying to escape from the attacks of a group of two-headed wolves.
Right then, one of the wolves opened both of it's mouth, and launched fire and water beam. The water attack landed on the leg of one of the Gantz Fighters, while the fire beam missed it's target.
"Aarrghhh!!"
As soon as the water beam touched the leg, it melted the leg together with the Gantz suit. The man who was hit screamed in pain.
"Shit! Brother Mao Dong got hit."
"Leave him. He is done for."
"Hey guys, wait..."
Mao Dong cry was ignored, and the five people left him without turning back. Mao Dong was feeling despaired. He suddenly remembered that he was the one suggested to abandoned Yufei at the far back. Now, his karma seems to came after him, sooner than ever.
This time however, those wolves seems to be adamant in letting the people to get away. Two wolves stayed at Mao Dong side, while the rest seventeen wolves surrounded the five escaping people.
"Oh no. We are surrounded. Now, we are all going t die!"
"Waaah! I don't want to die! Waah!"
"If only I followed brother Zhu Meng, I'm sure I can still live. Now...this is the end for me..."
Those people despaired like Mao Dong.
"Everyone, duck if you want to live!"
A sonorous voice reverberated in everyone's ears, causing them to subconsciously duck, some of them even kneeled on the ground.
Tsschinng!!
A sword slash flashed by, and extended out far, cutting every single wolves in the area. The unprepared wolves dropped down on to the ground lifelessly.
As they heard the thudding sounds in the surrounding, everyone looked around and saw that all the wolves are dead.
"Ooh!! The wolves are dead!"
"Everyone, we are saved!"
"Who did that? Is t brother Zhu Meng?"
Everyone then turned to the back to see who saved them. At this time, the saw a man was walking towards them, followed by a familiar girl, who was looking at them with some anger.
"Yufei!!"
"It's Yufei!? How did she survive from that wolf?"
"That man must have saved her."
Liang Tu hurriedly run forward, and approached Yufei. He hurriedly apologized, "I'm sorry for abandoning you at the back. Thank God, nothing happened to you."
"Who are you? Why are you apologizing to me?" asked Yufei, looking at Liang Tu coldly.
"Yufei...I"
"Go away! I don't know you." scolded Yufei.
"Alright, stop this drama. Let me ask you guys, do you have any radar to detect those targets?" asked Kurono.
"English?" Liang Tu was surprised that this new man was talking in English. Is he not a local chinese? However, he still replied in English. "I have one. Here."
Kurono then took the radar. He checked the target, and saw that there is only one glaring dot in the radar. It should be the last boss, thought Kurono.
"Okay. You guys stay here. I already killed those wolves. So, it should be safe for you all to stay here."
After that, Kurono swiftly run towards the last target.
"Wow! He is so fast. Who is that man?" asked Shi Lian.
The rest of the guy in there also got surprised at how fast Kurono headed out, and quickly disappeared in the distance. Liang Tu looked at Yufei, as if wanting her to give some explanation. However, the girl didn't show any sign of going to explain about Kurono's origin.
It caused everyone to sigh. Looks like the girl was too angry at them for abandoning her. She seems to no longer wanting to associate herself with the rest of the team. Yufei glanced at Mao Dong for a moment, and then to everyone. After that, he rushed out towards Kurono's direction.
...
On top of a hill, two Gantz Fighters were engaging themselves in a fight against the Xiangliu. Right now, this Xiangliu is in a human form.
Bam!
One of the Gantz Fighters were kicked on his stomach, and was sent flying, crashing on a big protruding boulder.
"Ahack!!"
The man was wearing his Gantz suit. However, he still vomited some blood after getting kicked, and crashing on the boulder. The man hurriedly stood up again. He was about to look at the fighting situation, but another big punch hit his stomach.
Shiu! Thud!
The man once again vomited some blood.
"Hahahah. You think that you stand a chance fighting me? You two are so naive." laughed the aliens. "I already given you guys a chance to attack and kill me. Now, you two seems to waste the chance I gave to you."
At this time, the other Gantz Fighter jumped forward, and tried to cut the Xiangliu. Xiangliu just evaded the attack easily. It then caught the face of the man.
"You are a dead person now. So, let me show you my real appearance. That way, you can die peacefully." said the Xiangliu.
The Xiangliu then slowly transformed into another form. A moment later, what stood in his place was a human body who have nine head. Each of the head has two protruding sharp horns, and a long snake like tongue.
"Now, do you like my new look?" said the Xiangliu. As it talked, all of his nine heads also spoke simultaneously in time.
"I'm not afraid of you." said the man whose name is Zhu Meng. He then took a sword hilt, and pointed it towards the Xiangliu.
Pshiu!
A blade suddenly come out of the sword hilt, and it hurriedly stabbed one of the Xiangliu's head like a speeding bullets. The sword punctured the head, and green bloods flowed from the injury.
"Aargh!! Shithead human, how dare you stab one of my head! It seems like you are very impatient to die."
One of the Xiangliu's head opened it's mouth and launched an electric current. The current electrocuted Zhu Meng, causing his suit to be rendered useless.
"You asked for this. Die!"
As soon as the Xiangliu finished speaking, all of its head attacked Zhu Meng together.
"Aahhh!!"
At this time, the other hunter tried to shoot Xiangliu with his X-Gun. However, his shot missed.
"Don't even think of ambushing me. With all of my head, I can see all of things in the surrounding. you won't be able to run away or ambush me. Take this."
The Xiangliu then bombarded the man, whose name is Shaoqing with a beam of waters, and electric currents.
The attack almost charred Shaoqing. The suit managed to alleviate the attack and giving Shaoqing a chance to live. However, he was almost losing his consciousness after getting hit by the current.
Pang! Pang! Pang! Pang!
At this time, the heads of the Xiangliu suddenly exploded. The beast roared in great pain when it's heads were being blown up so suddenly.
"Warghh!! Bastard! Who is it? Who dared to injure my head? Show yourself!" shouted the Xiangliu.
Right then, Kurono appeared out of nowhere. He smirked towards the Xiangliu, and said, "I am the one who caused your heads to explode. If you are angry, comd fight me."
"Don't you be so arrogant just because you blow up four of my head. Take this!"
The Xiangliu shot out many beams of several types of elemental attacks. There is the fire, water, and electric beams. All of it targetted Kurono as its open target. However, those beams got it's attacking trajectory to be changed.
"Here, take back your attack." said Kurono. He then controlled those beams, combined them into one single attack, and sent it towards its former master.
The Xiangliu hurriedly tried to evade it's former attack. However, a giant hand gripped him, and fixed him in place. The beams attack then hit his body. As soon as the attack fall onto him, the Xiangliu directly melted down.
"Arghh! Stop this. Arghhh!"
The Xiangliu screamed in pain, and tried to gain sympathy from Kurono. However, Kurono jus looked down at the guy, and just watched as the creature got melted slowly by it's own attack.
"Aargh! Damn you human. I won't die alone. Let all die together!" said the Xiangliu. Instantly, it's remaining unmelted body, expanded and light started to comes out from all of it's orifices.
"F@#k! It wanted to explodes itself!"
Kurono was alarmed when he saw that. He then hurriedly flew away. As he got away, he swiftly caught the two Gantz Fighters on the ground, and brought them away, as fast as he could.
BOOM!!
A giant shockwaves expanded and waved away with the Xiangliu as the point of explosion. The ground started to shake as if an earthquake just happened, and some debris were flying out, following the spreading shockwaves.
"Dammit! How in the hell is that creature manages to create such a huge shockwaves?"
Kurono hurriedly flew towards the people that he saved just a moment ago. Midway, he saw Yufei was looking at his back, full of shock and fear.
"Jump!" Kurono shouted.
Yufei hurriedly jumped, and hugged Kurono. Kurono then hurriedly flashed away towards the other survivors. Seconds later he arrived at the area where the others were resting.
Kurono jumped down, put all three people down, then turned back to face the speeding shockwaves.
"I don't believe that I cannot defend against a puny shockwaves."
Kurono then created an invisible wall, and shielded everyone. Instantly, the shockwaves arrived. There are some corrosive properties inside it that was trying to melt down the invisible barrier set by Kurono. He then hurriedly repaired those corroded place.
The corrosion and the repairing contended with each other for some minutes. Finally, the shockwaves passed, and Kurono sighed in relief.
