Chapter 9: Escaping the kingdom (4)
Jacob finished drinking the entire bottle and angelica looked at him in shock and spoke:
"You drank it all! How are you going to run away drunk now?! Know that I won't help you at all."
"Sigh, I'm not drunk and I wouldn't ask for your help even if I was."
"Uhum, I'll pretend I believe you."
Jacob opened the curtains and noticed that it was already dawning and quickly began to get things ready to leave.
He knew that there would be less vigilance at this time, since they started looking for him in the early evening.
Angelica looked at Jacob preparing to leave and asked:
"Are you going to go without carrying any weapons?"
"I'm not going to fight, so I don't need one."
"Hm... I spent all my years inside this kingdom, most of it was inside this church and in all those years, I never saw any fugitive manage to escape, so know that you will fail and get captured again, not least because, Astrid must be commanding the operation to capture you."
Jacob sighed and did not answer Angelica, he just opened the 3rd floor window and jumped down from up there.
Angelica who saw jacob leave, sighed in relief and lay down as she reflected:
'What a mysterious man...'

Jacob calmly walked crouched down the empty streets, he noticed that there were guards patrolling in other streets and did everything to not attract attention.
He avoided both the guards and some civilians who woke up at that time for work.
While sneaking around, Jacob reflected:
'According to the story, There is a secret passage that leads out of the kingdom, but since that shit didn't specify the location in detail, it is impossible for me to find it at this point... fortunately there is another alternative, but unfortunately it is dangerous.'
Jacob quickly hid in an alley after seeing two guards passing by on a street and reflected again:
'Under the main square there is a giant crocodile sleeping in the sewers, all I need to do is go in there and wake it up. According to the story, the crocodile would wake up around chapter 20 and raphael along with his harem would defeat it with difficulty, so all I need to do is wake up the sleeping crocodile and let all attention be called to the square and sneak away.... What could possibly go wrong?'
Deciding what his plan would be, jacob quickly began to make his way towards the central square of the kingdom.

In a large luxurious palace, King Harald and his wife, Queen Malena, were sitting on extravagant thrones side by side.
Harald's expression was one of anger, Malena's of worry and anxiety.
The two did not speak even though they were standing next to each other, it was as if they were just waiting for new news to reach them.
Suddenly, a soldier opened the door of the grand palace and ran breathlessly to the king and queen.
Quickly he knelt down and said:
"Your highness and your majesty, I ask you to forgive my sudden entrance, but I have important news to report."
Harald bowed forward and said:
"Go on."
"Thank you your majesty, the first news I have to report, is about the shocking and recent discovery that the crown prince found asleep in the sewers of our kingdom."
Malena at this point made a worried expression and quickly asked a question:
"Is Erick all right?"
"Yes your majesty, Erick is..."
Before the soldier could continue speaking, Harald interfered and said coldly:
"Forget my bastard son, just get on with the report."
The soldier's body froze for a few moments, but he quickly regained his composure and said again:
"The crown prince found a giant crocodile over 30 meters long and weighing over 40 tons lying dormant in the sewers beneath the kingdom's main square. General astrid predicted that the monster's destructive power equals a huge earthquake."
"Hm... So you need my confirmation to kill this monster?"
"Yes your highness, we are not sure when he will wake up, but I believe it is best we attack now when he is defenseless."
"All right, you have my confirmation."
"Thank you your highness, now an update on the spy."
Malena and harald made curious expressions and the soldier began to speak:
"After searching every corner of the kingdom and not finding him, we decided that he was hiding with some other spy among the civilians, but general astrid said that he would show up at some point or another, since we have completely sealed off the kingdom, so it is likely that by tomorrow, we will find him."
"Hm... Tell astrid to personally take care of the sleeping monster in the sewers and tell her that the information about this monster must be kept top secret! I don't want people to think that there is a sleeping monster under their houses."
"Yes your highness."
Quickly the soldier stood up and began to run out of the Palace....
Malena looked at harald and asked:
"Are you upset with our son?"
Harald became irritated after hearing the word "son" and said coldly:
"He at this moment, is your son."
"He is our son harald, you need to stop being a king for a moment and start becoming a father."
"Father? I would like to be one if my son and his mother were not bastards."
Malena was shocked after hearing Harald say that about them, but deciding that it would not interfere with her life, she calmly stood up and started to leave the Palace.
Harald watched her leave and reflected:
'Damn, if only I had a decent wife.... I tried to get Angelica pregnant so that our child would be someone superior to me, but that bitch couldn't get pregnant. What do I need to do to make things fucking right for me?'

Jacob arrived near the main square and noticed that it was crowded with guards and reflected brooding:
'Why are there so many of them here? Could it be that they have found the crocodile?'
Deciding to leave his doubts for another time, Jacob quickly began to think of another plan:
'Calm down, it can still work out.... Astrid right now is the strongest person in the kingdom, second only to raphael and even the two of them together couldn't defeat the crocodile easily, but leaving that aside. Entering the sewer through the main square won't work, I need to enter through another place and head towards the crocodile and wake it up before they start attacking it.'
Deciding what his new plan would be, Jacob quickly began to make his way towards a nearby manhole cover.
